    Disorganised
I don’t usually write reviews but the tour was so disorganised that I have to share… The only thing I’m happy about is easy entrance into the Pompei that’s it. The assembly point was at the very crowded location, hard to understand which group goes where etc. The groups were so big that while the guide is talking about one area, you still stuck at the back in completely different area, where the headphone signal couldn’t even reach. The worst was going back to Naples, where 50+ people were called one by one to understand which bus you are taking. Probably would not recommend….

    Pompeii and Mt Visuvius Tour
The folks at Trip Advisor and the local tour group were excellent at communicating all the pertinent details of our tour. Our guide was an expert on the history of Pompeii and Vesivius. She was professional, yet friendly and personable. If you're considering this tour, bring a water bottle and wear comfortable walking shoes. Getting around Pompeii is easy. The climb up Visuvius is challenging, but the spectacular views are worth it.

Great day trip for Vesuvius and Pompeii.
This was a great trip! The bus picked us up right from our hotel. (Although we got on the wrong bus with a different tour group, but our tour guide called us and made sure we made it to the right bus). Vesuvius was amazing. Great views! Lunch was delicious with the pizza they provided. Our tour guide on the bus, Genaro, made sure we had all the information we needed and had great communication. Our guide at Pompeii was educated and taught us all about Roman culture and the tragedy of Pompeii. My only complaint if I was to do it again was that I wish I had booked a longer tour of Pompeii. That place is amazing with SO MUCH to see.

Day tour of Pompeii and Vesuvius from Naples - well worth it.
It was a hot day for the tour of Pompeii and Mt Vesuvius but it was worth it. I was picked up by car not a tour bus and the driver explained he would pick up two more passengers and then meet a tour group at Pompeii, which we did. It was a little chaotic to begin with but eventually we were all provided with ear pieces so we could hear our guide (who had 32 years experience) and we set off for a very informative 2 hour tour. It was spectacular and enough for me in the heat. For those going on to Vesuvius in the afternoon we then enjoyed lunch with a choice of pizza, salad or gnocchi. All looked delicious and were served quickly. Off with another group in a big bus up the steep winding hairpin bends to the car park at the top. Out we tumbled and were given 1 hour and 20 minutes to walk up, take a look and get back down. It was quite a steep track and I'm very unfit and slow and it was very hot but one foot in front of the other and I got there. My heart was pounding and many people were struggling depending upon their fitness levels but it was good to get there. It took me 35 minutes of hard slogging. I stayed a little while then started back down slowly. It's loose ash gravel so you have to take care and wear trainers or good footwear to be safe. Back to Naples on the bus then transferred to minibuses depending upon where your final destination was. I was exhausted but a great day.

    Great tour with great guide!
What a great experience! Our driver Ricardo was awesome. He can drive in very small places while still ensuring we are informed about what we are seeing. Though we only got a glimpse of each place, it was enough to ensure we know where we want to spend more time the next time we go. Along with the scheduled stops, we stopped at a Lemoncillo factory and had lunch in Praiano under the lemon trees. This is a must do tour if you only have a day to explore these places. Ask for Ricardo to be your driver :)

    Overall Great Experience!!
My fiance and I booked this trip several months prior to our visit to Napoli. We were picked up from a spot in Napoli (about 30 min walk from our AirBnB) and then bused to Mt Vesuvius after picking up the other passengers. The ride to the top was through a winding road where the drivers along the way were pretty crazy. This was fitting for the rest of Napoli though. Once there, we had a little over an hour to reach the summit, take pictures, and return to the bus. It took about 25 min to reach the top and then 20 min to hike back down to the bus. This felt like enough time though for us as we're both young and fit but even older people on the tour were able to make it there and back in time. After regrouping on the bus we had a quick bathroom break and then were dropped off at a pizzaria right next to Pompeii. You get one Coke and one pizza per person included with the trip (tip was not included but expected). The pizza we had was arguably the best we had in Napoli. We had about a 1.5 - 2 hour lunch break which in my opinion was a bit too long. I would've preferred only an hour break and then maximizing my time in Pompeii. The communication at this point was confusing as well since our original guide left and we had no clue who was going to pick us up to go in the park. We kinda just got lucky and followed what we assumed was our group and turned out to be correct. When we walked to the park we were assigned a tour guide and then given ear pieces to better hear the guide. The ear pieces were a necessity to fully experience the tour and not be just huddled around the guide trying to hear. You'll want to stay relatively close to the guide as the range of the device is not that far and is hindered by the stone walls. The tour guide was fun, spoke fluent English, and gave us some lesser known PG-13 facts about Pompeii and the culture (didn't realize just how barbaric people were back then!). My only other complaint was that the tour felt a little rushed and we didn't get as much time as I would have liked in Pompeii (only a little less than 2 hours). Once the tour was finished, we were ushered out of the park and then onto the bus where they dropped us back off where we were picked up. Overall it was a great experience and well worth the money. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to learn some history and maximizing their day in Pompeii and at Mt. Vesuvius.

    Great Tour!! Great Value!!
Pros: This was a very well organized tour and probably the best value for the money out of our multiple excursions. The climb up Vesuvius in the morning was perfectly timed for the cooler part of the day. It is a workout and I recommend lace up shoes versus sandals because the loose dirt and rocks kept getting into people’s sandals. The lunch was an entire excellent cheese pizza per person. The time at Pompeii was unfortunately shorter for those of us who had to make a cruise ship departure. Cons: Perhaps less time could be spent on the stop at the lemoncello stand (or skip it), and a shorter To Go lunch option might be preferred for those on a cruise departure deadline. Our Pompeii guide Suzy was a bit of a disappointment on this fantastic tour. She seemed obsessed with the lack of women’s rights in ancient Rome, and gave constant examples ending with “Much as it is for women today”. However, I still highly recommend this tour!!

What we saw was awesome. What we didn't see was a disappointment.
Our tour guide, Monica was very engaging and informative! She provided great insight as we walked throughout the city. Located at the end of the walking tour is the museum that contains so many of the artifacts that have been recovered from the site. Unfortunately, we were not afforded any time to go into the museum as our bus back to Naples was waiting for us! Will have to settle for whatever museum info I can gather from the Internet.

    Pompeii with guide
A well organized tour. We met our tour right outside port near the welcome sign. Some people had scheduled tour with Getyourguide. All went on same bus. VERY HOT. 2 hour guided tour. Pompeii was CROWDED. Only place we had to pay for bathroom. 2 euros. Bring water.

Treat yourself to a wonderful day
The Pompeii guide shared lots of insight and took us round at a lovely pace. Lunch was excellent and the trip up the mountain was well worth it for the view of Naples bay.

Nice combination of historical guided tour and hike trail up to the Crater of Vesuv
The pick up was well organized but we still had to wait for the gathering of the whole group in the bus and afterwards in-front of the Pompei entrance, so we lost roughly an hour. Once inside the guided tour was interesting, even the extreme heat could not ruin the walk. In total 2 hours in Pompei were not enough for me, but it is understandable that the group could not be left in sun for more than 2 hours. The lunch break was therefore way too long. Approximately 2 hours in total. The meal was choice between salad, gnocchi and pizza in an air conditioned restaurant. And food was good. The ride to Vesuv was rather short, but once there we chose to climb to the top on our own without another guide. It gets windy and cold up there, which we were unprepared for. The view was great, but it is a steep trail 30-40min up and down. We didnt find any restrooms there.

No interest in customer service once they have your money!
Firstly Pompeii itself was amazing! Definitely worth taking a tour, just not with these people! We were picked up on time near our apartment then taken to the train station to change vehicles. We waited over half an hour on the minibus. When one lady asked why, apparently we were waiting for more people, well they never turned up. Eventually we arrived at Pompeii. It’s very chaotic there! More waiting around. All of this could be overlooked however the tour guide asked, any kids in the group? As my daughter is 17 I’d booked her in as a child, like the booking for told me to. So we told them. She said come to the front as we go through the ticket office. At the ticket office I was asked for her ID. I didn’t have any. So we had to pay an adult ticket price to the desk. Fair enough, but this meant I had paid £42.20 for her original tour ticket, then 19 euros, making a total of more than the adult tickets we paid! No one was bothered and I didn’t want to hold up our group anymore. They didn’t really care. So on the way home I contacted the company who told me, “ in the end you paid only one time the entrance ticket for your kid.” They’ve ignored all further contact. So no, I don’t recommend this company. The tour itself was very informative if a little dry. And you don’t get to stay in Pompeii after the two hour tour. You are escorted out. Pompeii itself is overwhelming but so interesting. The restaurants at the entrance are very pricey compared to the rest of naples. So go to Pompeii but find another tour company!

Rushed and disorganized; recommend taxi instead
I’ve done more than a dozen TripAdvisor / Viator tours and generally like them. This one is bad. 5 hour total trip, we were in Pompeii for only a little over an hour. Tour guide took us on a path that skipped a lot of things I saw last time; there was zero time to roam around and explore freely. After arrival in the Pompeii area, 30 minute waiting around in the sun before the tour for them to figure out logistics and who goes with which guide, and 40 minutes after the tour to just wait in a tourist area where they sell €8 orange juice. I wish I had just taken the taxi which is fixed rate €100 round trip from Naples including a 2-hour stop, and hired a guide locally instead.

    Steeped in history!
My fiancé and I did this tour, and it was very interesting to see all the ruins. The transport to and from Pompeii was quick. Only issue we had was the little Bluetooth earpiece they supply you with wasn't the best, we struggled to hear a lot of what the tour guide (Suzie) was saying but when we could hear her, she was great and giving us excellent history lessons with the odd joke here and there too!

Great experience. We looked at all the options but nothing was as good as this tour. Richard was our driver/Tour guide, he did an amazing job. Great tour and a lot of fun. He gave us an excellent experience like he was showing the Town to his own family. Thanks to him it was one of our best experiences in Italy.

We had high hopes of a beautiful day spent enjoying the towns of the Amalfi Coast and so we booked this private day tour of Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. The cost was $704.50 including the driver and tour guide. Both were very professional and prompt and met us near the Naples train station with a nice black Mercedes. The tour guide was especially knowledgeable as well. But apparently, that day in April was during the peak of the Italian two week holiday period from 3rd week of April to 1st week of May. After starting the tour and hitting endless traffic, the tour guide told us traffic was bad everywhere and always like this during the yearly holiday period. Little did we know that it meant almost the entire tour ( 6 hours of the 8 hours ) would be spent in the car in huge gridlocked traffic jams with almost no time for shopping, eating, or relaxing. We really would have appreciated it the tour company would have provided us this information in advance and offered us an opportunity to reschedule. We did call the tour company the day in advance to confirm the tour, but were only told where to meet the guide. We spent nearly the entire day sitting in almost completely stopped traffic going from Sorrento to Positano, and from Positano to near Amalfi before we were forced to turn around because of impassable traffic. The only stops we made were one hour in Sorrento, half an hour in Positano, and half an hour hour in a small mountain town for a rushed quick bite of food. At the end of the day, they were more worried about 'getting the car back on time' then making sure that we had a good tour. We know now to avoid the Amalfi coast during the holiday season, but we also know to avoid this $700.00 tour of Amalfi Coast Traffic Jams.

Overall we enjoyed this trip once it got going, however the pick up from the hotel, journey to the port and check-in at the port were a source of frustration. The tour bus was 45 minutes late picking us up and then took some time to reach the port area, which included walking the final leg. Once underway, however, the experience was relatively good and well worth making the effort.

Wanted to explore outside of Rome. Decided on taking the fast train to Naples and the commuter train to Pompeii for the day; returning to Naples to spend the evening. The next morning, Alberto picked my family up at 9:15 and for the next 9 hours took us on a trip of a lifetime. We did not purchase the guide, which I am glad we did not; Alberto was fabulous. He provided tidbits of information along the trip and was an amazing driving. I get motion sickness very easily; however, Alberto excellent driving skills kept me feeling well all day (and a couple of espresso). We had Alberto choose the place to eat; it was beautiful, however, due to dietary restrictions and the fear of getting motion sickness, my family ate very little; we had the fired potatoes (potatoes chips!) and grilled vegetables; in all spent 32E. Beware if you stop here, the service charge was 9E! Overall, would highly recommend taking this private driving tour! My family and I will treasure the memories from that day forever!

6 of us booked this tour for Nov 3,2018 at 9am. I booked the high speed train so that we would arrive at Naples 845am. Due to a train in front of us breaking down we were delayed and would not make the 9am pick-up. I called the office number listed on the voucher and spoke to someone (don't remember his name) and told him of our situation. He told me to call him back when we arrive in Naples and he'd see what he could do.....At this point I thought our plans were ruined at this point ..... I was totally wrong!!!! We arrived in Naples at 10am and called him right away.......He told me our private van and driver Giovanni was waiting for us across the street from the train station!!!!!!!!! He held a sign up with my name and introduced himself to us..... Giovanni let us know that since we started later than scheduled we might not be able to get to all of the cities on the tour....I understood that and said to do what he thought was best......So we ended up with a little time in Sorrento and Ravello.....But we got to ALL of the cities and we had time for lunch as well with spectacular views!!! Giovanni would be a great tour guide even though he was only obligated to drive us around.....A real people person!!! We told him our train back to Rome was around 545pm so he also gave us a little more time in the tour and got us back to the train station with time to spare!!!!

I will recommend using this tour company anytime and we can't wait to go back to the Amalfi Coast.......Bellisima!!!!!!! Thank you Giovanni and everyone who made it the most memorable trip EVER!!!!!

OK we thought this was going to be a tour of the Amalfi coast. It was not a tour by any stretch of the imagination. We got a driver. Who drove us. That was it. He spoke almost no English. We had to speak in Spanish for most of the trip. Unfortunately my 25-year-old Spanish was not up to the task. So this was a working tour for me as I was trying to translate for my other friends what the guy was saying. I got it right about 25% of the time. I was tired by the end of the trip. I feel like I needed a tip since I did so much translating. Don’t get me wrong, the guy was a nice guy very pleasant and friendly... but this was way too much money for what we got. We paid about $500 for four people plus we gave them a tip… No worries. However, don’t be fooled and thinking that this is a tour in the traditional sense. I was pretty disappointed at the end of the day since it was basically a workday for me. Definitely a one and done.

Small boast and 9 travellers. Delightful skipper, funny, informative, flexible. complete with prosecco and limencello tasting. Some of the guest wanted to swim so he stopped the boat and they did. Always asking how we were and what we wanted to do. Not enough time in Amalfi or Postiano but a great voyage none the less!

Two years ago, we spent time with this provider and it was great.
Now, we arrived as a group of 11 people, ages 3-70, and it was GREAT!!!
first of all - the driver. Giovanni (i hope i write his name correctly), was the best ever.
A good looking Italian, warm attitude, very flexible, pleasant driving and with the most atmosphere ever.
we all loved him! He made this tour one of our best experience of our cruise trip.
the road was amazing and we spend some time at each stop. true, its a very short time, but you must remember that its a day trip. if you wish to explore the area better, come for 1 week...
Giovanni explained during the ride about the view, destinations, local people, food and places to see and visit.
I highly recommend to use their services. they always arrive on time, dress properly, polite and warm.
3 weeks after the tour, we are all still speaking at home about the tour and Giovanni....
SALUTE!!!!!
