          Worth using this company
We actually used this company for 5 individual trips - Pompeii, Herculean, Vesuvius, Almafi coast/Positano and exclusive boat to Capri. Absolutely spot on. So helpful at the desk in Sorrento , and very chatty. Explaining the best options for us. Couldn’t recommend anyone better. The exclusive boat was the best as was pick up and drop off from where we were staying - drinks and snacks on board. The guys we had on the boat made the day. Also the guide on Capri so funny, friendly and made the whole day memorable

Scenery, Driver, Experience - 5 Stars. Positano & Amalfi - just OK!
After our ferry boat excursion was cancelled due to rough seas, we managed to book two last-minute seats in this 8-passenger tour — and we ended up being so glad that the boat cancelled!! This was a wonderful way to explore the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento to Positano to Amalfi. Our driver was extremely professional and a great driver as well. Stopped at a couple key overlook points along the way and gave us 1&1/2 hours in both Positano and Amalfi — which were interesting but frankly, nothing we would ever consider booking a stay in! The tourists — even in late April — were overwhelming. But the scenery along the Amalfi Coast is unparalleled and the 7 hour round trip was worth every minute and every $ spent! Highly recommend this small, intimate, excellent trip.

Tempio Travel - the best way to tour the Amalfi Coast and Surroundings.
With Tempio Travel we did 3 different tours: 1. Amalfi Coast Tour 2. Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius 3. Capri Exclusive Boat Tour The company is very efficient, well organized and the employees very friendly knowledgeable and helpful. 1. The Amalfi Coast Tour is basically transport to Positano, Amalfi and Sorrento with free time in each place. The places are otherwise very difficult to visit in one day unless you have a car, but driving in the area with the narrow winding roads is a nightmare, so the tour is a great option. 2. For the Pompeii tour we had an excellent guide, Maria, who was extremely knowledgeable and gave us some very interesting information and facts. The visit to Mount Vesuvius is exciting and amazing, but one must be prepared for a rather tough climb by trek if he/she wants to reach the summit of the gran cono crater. 3. Antonio, Giuseppe and Luciano were not only very friendly and helpful but also very entertaining making our trip to Capri a great experience.

“Amalfi Coast last minute” tour review
We booked this the day before the tour as an easier way of seeing Positano and Amalfi than using the public bus or the ferries (which weren’t running due to sea conditions). It did exactly as advertised - we were picked up from the Tempio Travel office meeting point, 8 English speakers in a comfortable minivan car, and taken first to Positano and then Amalfi, where we had two hours of free time in each place. We also had a brief photo stop just before going into Positano. The parking points were as central as you could wish for, two hours is plenty in each place really, the minivan was comfortable and our driver was friendly - so spot on for what we expected. We got back to Sorrento at around 5.30pm.

We had a great experience with Tempio Travel-Pompei Tour Organizer and would use it again. Etorre Arcari, who works at Sorrento agency; was the best and did a great job of giving us information and suggestions for our trip. Everything was so well organized and thought out of it was a perfect mix of "group time" with "me time" for exploring on our own.

Highlight of Our Stay on the Amalfi Coast
Fantastic day. Fun, helpful guide Guido and excellent captain. Van ride to and from the port was flawless. Beautiful day and cruise around the island, highlighted by a 30 minute swim in the ocean. Only 12 people on the boat max. They provided 4 hours on land and great advise. Even in late September, the island was very crowded. The only negative was the blue bus (which has nothing to do with the boat cruise, I know). Getting a ride back from Anacapri was challenging. They kept changing the pickup site and people were skipping the queue. The on site bus company employee did nothing to stop this.

Misleading and salesy captain and tour company!
We booked Blue Grotto Capri tour with them (not listed here, but provided on WhatsApp) for 2 people - me and my wife. Pickup from hotel was on time, at 7am, we waited for some time at the pier and then started on the "VIP Capri Blue Grotto tour". They gave disclaimers that it may be open or may not be open we will see when we reach there. The boat caption was nice speaking but it turned out - too smooth speaking and salesy. We had booked this tour specifically to see Blue grotto which is really wonderful Marvel to see (and should not be missed if you are in Italy, or in Croatia- it's called Blue cave there). On the Blue Grotto tour, the guide took us to the blue grotto opening, we reached at about 8.20 am and the captain Francesco told 13 of us who were on the boat - that see it's not open. Now we can't go inside, what do you want to do, wait here for 2-2.5 hours, and see if it opens or better, take us to the city of Capri. He convinced everyone that green grotto is like blue, and everyone on boat trusted him and asked him to do what's best. Within next 35 mins he showed us 2-3 places and dropped us at Capri. Since we really wanted to do blue grotto, I saw on their website that opening time for blue grotto is 9am onwards. And after reaching anacapri city we asked a few people that BLUE GROTTO WAS ACTUALLY OPEN since morning. We found and waiting for a bus, went in queues (1.5 hours total) and were able to see the blue grotto finally, despite the captain's efforts. We were furious at the caption because he convinced its not open (and none other in our boat group actually went there, thinking it's not open). It seemed like he did not even try to show blue grotto to anyone, and misled us. Just dropped us in city (which are not great cities to visit only for the city) and left for 4 hours and became free himself. Furthermore, he sweet-talked and misled all of us on the boat to buy a bus on capri- which took 20€ per person and only took to 2 places, where the public transport day pass is €7, and takes everywhere, is on time! Everyone bought the bus pass but it was useless! We had to purchase other bus tickets for our travel.we felt we were duped and if we didn't know better to check on blue grotto website, we would have missed the wonderful opportunity to see Blue grotto like others missed it and went back to their country thinking it was closed!

Avoid this agency. Their customer service & tour planning sorely lack
My tour was the Pompei&Vesuvius Select. It is not listed in the dropdown. This agency did not live up to even the smallest expectations. We did not have & could not d/l WhatsApp which they insist is needed to take a tour (WHY? Some people do not have phones. This in itself set us off on a poor opinion of them. That & the incredulous looks they gave us when we told them this). They could not provide us with paper tickets to our tour. At the last minute they emailed us images of the tickets. We took a tour to Mount Vesuvius, in which they only give 1 hour. First of all, this is nowhere near enough time to get to the top (in a lot of foot traffic & going uphill). Secondly, we go to the gate with the emailed pictures & find that they sent us 2 identical ones. Therefore only 1 of us could get through the gate. We tried contacting Tempio & managed to get through (by now 15 mins had passed of our only 60 min trip). Then on phone (hate to see the phone bill!!!) for 20 mins with Tempio. Tempio spoke to the gate attendant who told them they were duplicate tickets. It is now 40 mins into the 60 mins & we can get in. So we only had 20 mins total to climb Mt Vesuvius. As you might have guessed, we could not get to the top. There were so many people & it's very steep. So 10 mins up, 10 mins down, saw NOTHING! We went to lunch after that while we sat for 2 hours. No one needs 2 hours for lunch. The entire tour was poorly planned. Should allot 1.5-2 hours for Vesuvius & 1 hr for lunch. We contacted Tempio for a refund, they tell us we have to come to the ticket office & talk to a manager. Why? Their own agent spoke to Mt Vesuvius so why do we need to go? Had they offered a refund in some amount I may not be as furious as I am now. The score of 1 star is based on the poor customer service we received. I would strongly advise others to avoid this agency.

          The trip that never was
We booked a trip to Amalfi & Positano via the very kind lady on the reception at our hotel. She printed out confirmation of the booking for us and we were waiting at 8am for our 8:15am pick up as detailed on the booking. That is sadly as far as this trip went. We waited until 8:45 and went back to the hotel reception as no one had turned up but they were unable to contact anyone at Tempio Travel despite trying to call them on our behalf. We waited until 9:00 & then gave up. An hour of our day waiting in the heat for absolutely nothing. Would not recommend based on our experience.

Great value for full day excursion
Beast value we spent on excursions while we were in Sorrento. Have money for bus or taxi on island, and tip boat crew. We did the Capri Blue Grotto Experience. semi private boat tour from Sorrento to Capri. Takes up to 12 people, approx. 35 Ft cabin cruiser. They also supplied sandwich, water, soft drinks and beer. Mini van pickup and drop off to your hotel. You pay $18 euro for blue grotto if you want to do it. Then drop you on Capri for 3-4 hours. Then back on boat to see more grottos around Island, then swim, return to Sorrento about 3pm. Excellent captain and crew.

          Not cheap.
We did the Capri fun & swim 4 hour tour which cost $850 for 4 adults. Would I pay this amount again…I’m not sure. We didn’t get to see the Blue Grotto which didn’t overly concern me as I understand sea conditions are out of everyone’s control. The pick up was on time & the minibus was air conditioned, comfortable & the driver charming. We had roughly a 15 minute drive to our departure marina & the wait time once there was roughly the same. We had some good luck as our boat trip turned into a private tour as we were the only guests on skipper Antonio’s boat, who was good at keeping us informed & pointing out other points of interest. Our return minibus was waiting for us once our adventure around Capri finished, so again no complaints. All the inclusions & itinerary was as advertised, so again I can’t complain. So would I recommend this tour, yes, but with a big proviso to first check other similar competitors.

Not the most honest tour company!Best doing fully guided tour yourselves
We booked this after seeing the brochure but were charged ten euros more than advertised and told it was a "misprint".The 'special train' we were promised to Ercalano was awful being fenced off with other random passengers then as trains on strike that day left worrying when it stopped a few times (tour company still happily took our euros a few days ago knowing about this!) We had to guess where to get off and I felt very sick but no clear sign of train toilets.Herculaneum was a 10 min walk from the station and there was only us and another couple (despite being told they needed 8 for the tour??)Guide very knowledgeable and the tour itself was good but the train journey and extra cost awful. We had an issue with train ticket resolved ourselves later but Rick the manager of the tour company said he would email the very next day (he didn't).Not impressed with how the company were dishonest to people nor the awful train journey.

          Herculaneum Visit
After reading a few negative reviews I was a little dubious about booking this trip but we had a great visit to Herculaneum. The train journey was explained to us at the station and we had our own carriage on the "tourist/express" train. Stops were clear and there were helpful staff on board. Herculaneum is a straightforward 10 min walk from the station and we were met at the entrance by our guide, Fabio. He spoke good English and gave us a thorough understanding of what Herculaneum was like before the eruption. The site is a lot more intact than Pompeii and I enjoyed it more. The train back to Sorrento was on time and although no carriage was reserved, there were plenty of seats. A holiday highlight!

          Quality Control Needed
This tour was seriously lacking in quality control. Mount Vesuvius itself was a beautiful experience. The bus provided to get there had broken reclining seats. If you leaned back, your seat landed in someone’s lap. If the driver hit the brakes, you were flung forward. The guide around Pompeii was wonderful until the end when she tells you to get on the “Express Train”, which is a metro, that is now crowded and you have to stand an additional hour back to Sorrento. We did the 30 minute Vesuvius hike, then the 2 hour Pompeii tour. We did not expect standing room only all the way back. On the trip going to Pompeii from Sorrento, the tour company reserved the first coach guaranteeing our group seats on the way there. Overall, it started well, but I would not recommend this company to someone I know.
