Vittoria exceeded expectations and provided us with a wonderful tour of Venice (on the island where she lives). We requested to see the “not frequented touristy places” and to give us a snippet of what it is like to live in Venice. She showed us hidden gems and shared the historical and current relevance/stories of the sites we visited. We felt like one of Vittoria’s friends that came to visit her. She was very warm and personable. We were so glad that she was our own personal guide. We actually did this booking through “Get Your Guide” but the actual company that hired Vittoria is Lokafy. FYI.

Daisy was excellent! Definitely local and shared a lot of knowledge that’s more general, as well as historical and also items that were part of her phd research (won’t spoil the surprise for others). Overall, great experience, highly recommend.

Turkan was wonderful. Knowledgeable and engaging. She kept in touch ahead of the tour time so meeting for the tour was at a time that worked well for us. We were able to learn more about the local life. She made great recommendations for places to visit and places to eat. She also tried to involve our 2 teenagers in the conversation which was really nice. We enjoyed the tour very much!

Viola is prompt, knowledgeable, and fun to be around. She kept us away from the overcrowded sections of Venice, and gave us a unique perspective of the city. I would highly recommend her!!

Our private tour with Turkan was wonderful! We spent 4 hours walking so much of Venice that we never would have known about. She is a local and took us to her favorite local spots - some she went to during college and some she goes to with friends. We were not super specific on what we wanted to see so it was great to be able to take in the beauty of Venice with someone who lives here. She also told us so many tips and tricks to not getting stuck in tourist traps. Excellent tour!

We booked a 3 hour walking tour of Venice. Was not expecting huge history lectures, just an orientation on how to get around and the location of a few major sites. We kind of got most of that, but we were expecting to be shown around by a "local". For us that would be an Italian from Venice, or at least someone who had lived there for a few years. What we actually got was a student from Turkey who was half way through a 2 semester university exchange, so she had lived in Venice for maybe 3 months max. She tried to use Google maps for navigation which is not ideal in Venice so we went the wrong way a few times. She was a charming person with quite good English, but would have been a far better guide in her home town of Ankara. I will not be using Lokafy again.

Knowledgeable guide; very friendly and welcoming. Be prepared to do a lot of walking up and down stairs in order to really see many beautiful places in Venice.

Absolutely loved our tour with Giorgio! It was such a neat way to take a tour, felt like walking the city with a friend. Would do this again in any city in a heartbeat. Our guide was so easy to understand and we loved that he shared info on his life and favorite spots in the city … even got to stop in and grab a snack along the way at one of them. Yum!

This is the best way to see the city, more expensive than group tour but so much worth it. I will look for this option in other cities too

We took a full day tour with Isabella. It was truly remarkable. Isabella is absolutely wonderful. She lives in Venice so knows Venice like the back of her hand. During a busy weekend day we went all through Venice and only saw a few people and so many hidden treasures! She knows so many details but is such a warm and knowledgeable (and funny) person you forget your on a tour and instead your walking through Venice with a local friend which is Magical. The 5 hour private water taxi with Michael and Isabella was one of the best experience's ever. Believe me Venice can be very confusing with streets like a maze and water taxi's expensive and sometimes confusing. Isabella made literally everything a piece of cake. A truly amazing time...just Go!

If you can get a local guide We got Miriam from lokafy and what a treat it was It made us fall in love with Venice So many interesting details so much local knowledge and a lot of fun Well worth it We walked 3 hours, sampled some of the local cuisine YUM and would definitely do it again

The best introduction to Venice one could have. I had a great guide, Davide, who spoke good English and knew the city well. We walked for about 2 1/2 hours and had a beer together to appreciate the atmosphere. Really helped me know what to see in greater detail and get my bearings. Very glad neither of us had to wear masks in public areas.

Christina was an excellent guide. She figured out exactly what we were interested in and in one morning we learned so much about Venice. We would highly recommend Christina as a private guide to Venice.
