The boat ride over and back was very enjoyable. Not only was the weather beautiful and the water relatively calm in the morning, our boat captain, Flavio, added that extra flair with his informative comments along the way and his delightful personality. He was very friendly and accommodating. Delicious caprese sandwiches, water, beer and prosecco were provided for lunch. He made every effort to stop at all points of interest along the way and explained the history of each location. Masks, snorkels, and float tubes were provided allowing us to explore our own small blue grotto. It was a delightfully refreshing swim.
We had three hours to enjoy beautiful Capri taking in all the wonderful sights and scenery. This was very relaxing and enjoyable.
I gave this four stars and not five due to the very disappointing visit to the Blue Grotto. I would give this part of the tour only one star at best. When we arrived at the Blue Grotto, four of us had to transfer into a very small row boat. In order to make it through the very small opening, we all had to actually lay on the bottom of the boat scrunched into very uncomfortable positions. We had to time our entry with the wave action while maintaining these very awkward positions. Once inside, we repositioned ourselves to a slightly more comfortable position while the guide slowly rowed us around in a relatively small "grotto" and watching out so we did not run into the other 6-8 boats in there. The guide stated he would sing to entertain us, but he only sang literally two very short phrases from two different songs while the other guides sang in unison for about 10 minutes. To exit, we had to assume the contorted positions once again. When we finally made it back to Flavio's boat, the row boat guide had the audacity to demand a 5 euro "tip" from each of our four person group! Unbelievable!
Since this is the only way to get a boat tour with Flavio, go for it. He definitely makes it worth it, but don't expect much from the Blue Grotto.

This trip was pre-booked a few weeks previously. We arrived at our meeting point which was clear and precise and were led to our vessel (12 people on this trip plus the skipper) in the Marina.
Our day lasted approximately 7-8 hours and we followed the itinerary as published. Highlights included the Blue Caves and nearly three hours free time on the island of Capri from Marina Piccola. During the cruise we witnessed dolphins and also the goats from which Capri is named, scrambling on the precipitous cliffs.
A special mention to Captain Flávio….he kept us entertained and updated with varied commentary on the local history and geography and we were in awe with his boat-handling skills. We will take the same trip again when we return to Sorrento.

Simply superb! It was my wife’s birthday and these guys made it very special! From the start to finish, they were engaging, fun and friendly. It was an uncle and nephew team who were first class (I didn’t remember their names but it was the 18th May and a 50th birthday in the name of Thomas so please pass on out thanks again). We went to capri and the blue grotto which were amazing but it was much more than that. They took time to go around the capri coast line taking us in and out of different costal cliff areas and explaining each part of it. We stopped off for a swim, provided refreshments and some food, then off it Capri to explore for about 3 hours. They even let my wife steer the boat as a birthday treat whilst everyone sang happy birthday to her. Blue grotto was amazing and a must do (even thought it looks a bit scary, the guys who run it are experts, so it’s perfectly safe). The guy who took us in also sung happy birthday and serenaded our group in Italian. Absolutely brilliant and highly entertaining tour, highlight of our holidays

A great day out with great swims in the sea and an overall good vibe on the boat!
Sceneries are breathtaking and the water is just so blue it's magical. Even had a little snorkeling moment.
Just bear in mind 2 things:
1. the Blue Grotto can get very busy and feel like a tourist trap, even our guide on the boat was very much like "if it was just me we wouldn't even stop there and waste time"
2. once docked on Capri, the town is inside the land so you'll need a short bus ride that seemed very busy. We decided to spend our couple hours enjoying the sea by the beach and ended up not regretting it based on the feedback of our boat companions
But overall a very fun day.

We would highly recommend this trip to any one who wants to experience a private charter tour. We had reached last minute and yet they were kind enough to accommodate us on their Santa Maria boat!
From meeting up point to the boat Francesca who was our guide and host took us. There we were introduced to Gian Luca our captain. They both were kind and knowledgeable to show us around the places as well as answer all our questions. The spots for swimming, to the blue grotto tour everything fell right in place. One thing I liked the most is their understanding of how quick the line for the grotto gets busy. In order for the best experience for their guests they ensured we reached there as soon as possible in the morning so that we have the priority to enjoy the grotto tour.
If you are still thinking if you should be taking a tour with them or not, just TAKE IT!! It is a must and you should definitely take their tours!!

When I looked at the reviews, I noticed they were high. I would rate this more than 5 as it was amazing! There were 3 couples that I booked, the check in process was great as we met at a restaurant. I would only suggest to the company to have that information on the voucher as I had to email them. Once on the boat, the Captain, Mr. V dead headed straight for the Blue Grotto and we got in after a short wait and it was amazing! We then went around the island to two other grottos and the captain steered the boat in and turned it around so that we could all see the rocks. We then made it to the small harbor in Capri. Vittorio was also and excellent guide who helped us with Taxis and busses. Vittorio was also hospitable as he was offering us drinks and explaining what everything was. We explored the city and ate lunch at a sandwich place that was good. We then went to the Gardens of Agustus, again amazing views! We took off again in the boat and went under the Faragolini rocks and they popped some Prosecco and we had fruit. The ride home took us by a waterfall, Roman house and fishing village. This was one of the best excursions I ever took. It was an awesome day. V the Captain and V the guide were fantastic.

This was our favourite day so far! We got to the blue grotto early but as the sea was really choppy it looked like we wouldn’t be able to enter as it’s through a very small cave where row boats take you through. Luckily our tour guide Flavio was brilliant and kept checking the website, and as soon as it opened we sailed over and managed to get in. You get about 5 minutes in the cave from the boat. It does get quite busy in there which can spoil the atmosphere as there were too many boats around as we were leaving, so I was glad we were near the front of the queue. You do have to pay €15pp to get into the cave and the person rowing our boat also tried to demand a tip but other boats didn’t so I think he was just a bit off.
We had two opportunities to stop and swim and floats were provided. The atmosphere on the boat was really nice and we could help ourselves to a fridge of beer, wine and soft drinks.
The sandwich provided was lovely - we ate it whilst strolling round Capri. The free time in Capri is just enough to have a quick look at some of the shopping area and we did the Augustus Gardens too. Wouldn’t recommend climbing the stairs like we did as we were struggling by the end! There’s a lift somewhere so take that instead - or apparently you can get a cab for €2 from the port.
The tour of the island from the boat was really interesting and our tour guide gave lots of historical information which brought the landscape to life. He gave us loads of recommendations too which came in handy.
Overall a great day!

A fantastic tour. Ours set off early (8am) from Sorrento so we arrived at the blue grotto early before the row boats arrived so we didn't have to queue, in fact we were first in of the day.
The tour around Capri was well described by Ferdinando our guide, with lots of information.
We had a couple of hours to explore Capri and our guide pointed the way to the bus and taxi area and recommend a couple of places to see.
We than had lunch on the boat and pulled into a bay to swim. The sea was so blue and inviting.
We continued on around the island through the big natural arch and into a couple of other grottos.
Our captain was very skilled and kept out of the wash of other boats so the ride was smooth and gentle.
Highly recommend and with only a dozen on the boat there was plenty of room.
Ferdinando and the captain were a great double act and we had great fun.

If you’re interested in a day out on the water while being able to visit Capri, look no further as this trip is for you. Starting with a nice ride out to the island, our tour guide Dario took us straight to the blue grotto so we were first in line when it opened at 9:00. For €14 you can enter the blue grotto on tiny little row boats operated by a guide. It’s a quick look inside and then back out, but was a cool experience. Then we were back on our boat for a tour around the shoreline seeing the spectacular cliff-sides and clear waters. Plentiful insta-worthy photo ops! We docked at Marina Piccolo where we were able to go on shore for 3 hours. Enjoy the city square for shopping, have lunch, hike to the top of Capri, or go on the chair lift. I’d recommend getting a pair of custom sandals made! Then we met back at the boat and took us to a swimming spot where we could swim and hang out for an hour or so before heading back to port in Sorrento. Overall it was a great day out on the water and a good way to get to/from Capri. Highly recommend!!

Highly recommend. Our Captain Flavio brought us to the Blue Grotto and the around the full circumference of Capri, describing all the points of interest and stopping twice to give us the opportunity to swim in the sea. There was a 3 hour stop over in Capri to explore the port and the island. The price is on the expensive side but it's full day out and very enjoyable.

When we arrive at Capri and get off to get our Blue Grotto tickets do we return to the boat for you to take us to the Blue Grotto?
How much Island / other exploration time is available?
Do we see or have time to, or does this tour include:-
-Bus ride to Anacapri
-take the chairlift to Monte Solaro,
-Walk with your guide through narrow streets to the fabled plaza, La Piazzetta,
- Circumnavigate the entire coastline of Capri by boat

You just call into the blue grotto on way to Capri but if it’s choppy you can’t go in the Grotto it’s too small entrance
