- Y5788OWmichaell0 contributionsPerfecto…A great experience from the minute we were picked up by Luigi, who was very engaging and made us feel very welcome. Laura gave a great explanation of ingredients and a chance to taste fresh mozzarella (Bellissimo). Luigi guided us through the basics of a good dough and the important ingredients, with great humour, while insuring we all ended up with great dough. Next with Laura we had the chance to make the pizza and cook, the most important part. Before sampling the fantastic tasting pizzas we were left with. Fantastic experience and can’t wait to put our new found skills to the test back in UK.Written November 2, 2024
- Will-Ram700 contributionsA Great experience. An absolute amazing time. From the moment we got in the car with Luigi, we knew we were gonna have a good time. He made the class so much fun and enjoyable. The whole staff and experience are awesome. We learned some pizza making pizza secrets, and got to make our own delicious pizza. We would highly recommend it.Written October 21, 2024

- claratU4347EZ0 contributionsFantastic cooking lesson and experience!Fantastic experience! The instructors were very kind and knowledgeable. They gave us a lot of useful tips. The class itself was perfect: it included everything as described and more (e.g. mozzarella-making demo). We were picked up (and dropped off) near city center in a confortable van and the ride to and from the class was very short and smooth. Thank you!Written September 24, 2024

We were promptly picked at 5:30 at the meeting place and transferred to the cooking school. We were a group of 9 cooks. We watched how to make fresh mozzarella. We made eggplant parmigiano and cheese ravioli. We were given a cup of tiramisu and wine with the dinner we made. We were transferred back to the meeting point by 8:30. A 3 hour excursion in total.
Another group was there making pizza instead of ravioli. I don't believe we were given a choice.
Actual cooking activity was about 1.5 hours. No recipes were given but pretty simple. Somewhat expensive for the experience.

The staff are incredibly friendly. However, this was my second time cooking in Italy, and this was not really cooking. It was more placing stuff on a plate, cutting and minimal prep. Most of the ingredients are prepared so you do not how the tomato sauce was prepared. We made eggplant parmigiana and cut the eggplant, fried it, and stuffed it with already prepared cheese, tomato sauce and basil leaves. We do not know how long it was baked for and temperature and how cheese prepared. Caprese salad was simply cutting cheese and tomatoes and placing it. The only real thing we learned was how to prepare dough for the ravioli. Do not know how the cheese was prepared or the tomato sauce that was served with it. The Tiramisu is not your typical it is spooning marscapone and putting lady fingers in a glass and pouring lemonicello on it. How was the marscapone prepared or the lemonicello? If you want to have fun then a definite but if you really want to learn, this is not the class for you. It is outside.

I visited Sorrento in October, and decided last minute that we wanted to do a cooking class, Laura was wonderful in communicating, i had requested to learn to make a local specialty pasta dish and also italian tomatoe sauce,
On the day Luigi picked us up from the train station, arrived at the cooking school with a warm welcome from Lucia n Laura our chefs for the day, we did olive oil tasting, and then wine was poured and so the class began!
Both lucia and Laura was fun and patient, took us step by step, even showed us how to can tomatoe sauce the way Italians do every year to preserve tomatoe for winter use, lunch was fruits of our labour and it tasted amazing, i fully recommend this place, is a day im going to remember for a long time, and i will be back next time i come to Sorrento!

After being picked up at our hotel we were taken up to the lovely restaurant Tirabuscio in Sorrento. On arrival we were given a glass of prosecco and met our lovely hosts Laura and Luigi. With Laura’s help we made fresh pasta Caprese Ravioli and Parmigiana. The best part was sampling what we had made with a nice glass of wine. Delizio. I would highly recommend this experience. Great way to spend a day in Sorrento. Thank You Laura and luigi

This was one of the higlights of our stay in Sorrento! We had a great time learning how to cook fish, clams, and gnocchi. Laura and Lucia were amazingly helpful, courteous, and so much fun. Highly recommend going there.

This is the only cooking class you should be booking! We booked the 3 hour seafood cooking class that consisted of baked mussels, clams with gnocchi, fish fillet in tomato sauce and tiramisu for dessert. We were picked up at our hotel and driven to the class where a full table of fresh ingredients and table setting with bottles of wine and their flavored olive oils were there to greet us. Our chef was finishing up another class so we enjoyed a snack of bread and olive oil before starting! Our chef was amazing, extremely knowledgeable and patient with us during my many questions. She took pictures of us while our hands were full of gnocchi dough and emailed the pictures and recipes immediately after the class. After the cooking was complete, it was time to eat! All the dishes were delicious and full of flavor! I was disappointed when the experience came to an end! I would tell everyone to go to this class! Just stop looking and book this one! I have made the clam dishes many times at home and while it isnt the same as the fresh ingredients of Italy, it is still one of the best!! I highly recommend this class!

My husband and I were in Sorrento for our honeymoon and booked this experience last minute because our tour to Capri got cancelled. What a blessing in disguise we had so much fun doing this class and so glad we got to experience it!
Laura, Lucia and Luigi ran the day so smooth and they all made it fun and memorable.
Doing a cooking class whilst in italy is a must and I definitely recommend to do this one if you can!

Had a fantastic time learning how to make traditional neopolitan pizza. Nothing is held back, we are made to feel so welcome and at home, greeted with bread and a selection of their own made oils. After a glass of prosecco we get to making pizza, thoroughly explained the traditional way and the respect is shown to the ingredients, we get hands on and have a good laugh, we then enjoy out pizza and wine before a lovely surprise in learning how to make tiramisu. Couldn’t do enough for us and made us so happy a true highlight of our trip to the region. Thanks very much

My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon with a trip to Italy. During our stay in Sorrento, we had the pleasure of taking a cooking class with Laura and Luigi. We had a great time learning to cook eggplant marinara, caprese salad, and ravioli! We were also provided with complimentary wine, bread, oiive oil, dessert, and limoncello. Everything was so fresh and delicious!. At the end of our class, we couldn't resist leaving without bottles of their olive oil and limoncello. Laura and Luigi are genuinely nice people that created a fun and relaxing atmosphere to learn to cook! We highly recommend the class to anyone.

Our last day in Sorrento and we ended it with bang! Eleven of us in the class not knowing each other and leaving best friends. This is what good food, a little(many a little more) wine can do to. Our chef Laura was a joy and made all of us Italian cooks in one day. This is must for many traveler in the Sorrento area.
