I have taken the Amalfi Coast tour with Roberto for a second time this fall, because I so enjoyed it the first time with my family during the early summer. Roberto is a legendary tour guide, truly the best! His tours run smoothy, as he concerns himself with all the details to make sure his group is well taken care of. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history, culture, music, vegetation, food, shopping, etc. of the area, and shares this knowledge with great passion during his tour. His friendly, outgoing, personality makes the tour truly an enjoyable and fun experience. Of all the tours I’ve taken in the area Roberto’s tour of the Amalfi Coast was definitely the best- I highly recommend it! If you book this tour, make sure you ask for Roberto!

Pompeii speaks for itself and it was amazing. I think the tour was fine but not exceptional. The ride was central to Sorrento main square but the trip was more of a lesson on Italian/English translation and singing Italian songs instead of a history of Pompeii and its significance. The major points of Pompeii were discussed but in a fairly uninteresting way. We felt we were being rushed through and the guide did not take much time to explain the different aspects of the ruins. For example, there were clearly tours walking among the 'theaters' but our group was not allowed to go in. We took a look from the outside and had to move on. The tour details clear.y state that there is a lot of walking, steps, etc. and yet there was a group of elderly people within our group who had canes, etc. and held the group back a bit.At the end my husband and I thought we could have trained from Sorrento ourselves and just rented the headsets at the Pompeii site for about half the price and gotten the same experience.

We understand that we couldn’t go to positano due to a rock slide, but I feel that that alone deserves a partial refund as it is at least 1/3 of the tour that we missed. On top of that, we were also very frustrated with what occurred on the tour. In Amalfi, there was no tour or time for us to explore. We were invited to go on a boat ride (that was $20 a person extra) and then shown a place to eat. Afterwards we had to head straight on the bus to leave. In Ravello, all we did was walk through the town. There was little explanation of what we were walking through. I understand that it was raining and nobody can control the weather but this was very frustrating. Due to the road closure to positano, we were told that we would stop and get to taste free lemonchello at a local farm. However, that did not occur. Instead the tour ended 2 hours ahead of schedule. I would have loved to used that extra time in Amalfi or Ravello but that was not allowed. We reported our issues asking for a partial refund, due to at least 1/3 of trip not happening and were denied. Our tour guide even told us we should receive a refund.

Our tour guide Lisa was professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant. We enjoyed the smaller group and got to know some really nice people. The weather was gorgeous and the coastline is breath taking. We highly recommend this tour and Lisa as your guide for the day.

Great tour of Pompéi and mount Vesuvius. The pick up was a bit chaotic with many groups most of them about 25-30 people. We had a good guide and driver.

We did an excellent time exploring Pompeii and the ruins that are there. Though we had initially booked this as the tour to hike up Mount Vesuvius, the weather caused this to be canceled. However, the tour company was able to reassign us to the half-day tour in Pompeii, which ended up being very good. I appreciated the flexibility and not canceling the entire day.

Absolutely an incredible tour, very well organized and our tour guide was hilarious and really knew his stuff! I feel like we covered a lot of information and saw everything that was pertinent.

Pompeii was overwhelming (good) and the hike to Vesuvius crater was stimulating and unforgettable. It turns out we did the tour two days shy of the 1944th anniversary of the Big Spew in 79 AD and, coincidentally, 1944 was the last time Vesuvius erupted.

Beautiful views, fantastic tour guide. Bus was comfortable and air conditioned, highly trained driver. Highly recommend.

Our tour to Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello was amazing! The tour company was very organized. Our tour guide was Roberto who has been doing this for 12 years, was super knowledgeable, personable, and funny. We had limited time to see the coast, so we chose a tour to hit the highlights. The tour was part bus and part boat. Pros: You get a quick look at all 3 towns without having to drive yourself, and with history and knowledge of the towns. Cons: A long 8-9 hour day and each stop seems a bit rushed. But on that note, our favorite town was Ravello. Positano and Amalfi were a bit touristy and crowded.

Lulu was a great handler and fun with her information on the ride to the area The radio ear pieces were a bit spotty if you got out of range or the guide was not speaking directly into the microphone. When addressed it was fine-Max was very knowledgeable and fun

We travelled from Sorrento to Pompeii in the morning - Andreas was our guide and he was fantastic, he was knowledgeable and enthusiastic and gave us lots of information about the local region. Our guide in Pompeii was great, really giving us an insight into the lives of the people of Pompeii and answered all of our many questions. The best bit of the day for us though was the reason we came to Sorrento - to climb Vesuvius. The bus took us up as far as possible, again Andreas gave us lots of geological and historical information about Vesuvius on the way up, then we had an hour and a half to walk up to the top of the crater and take in the views over the bay of Naples- and what a view! Can’t recommend this trip enough! Well done Iamme Ia :-)

Great opportunity to see both sites and learn about life in Pompeii. Our guide Alesso was terrific! He gave a great overview of the cultural & practical daily life in Pompeii & its relationship with Rome. He really explained well about the events in the days leading up to the eruption & the experiences of the inhabitants.

So glad we took this tour. Very knowledgeable guide at Pompeii. He took us to some remote sites and explained ash levels and the excavation process. If you are old/infirmed/hard of hearing, etc., do not take this trip. The elderly in our party had a difficult time keeping up, causing us to wait for them. I'm sure they were frustrated as well. If you're thinking about bringing a baby in a stroller, best to not come. The ancient streets of Pompeii are bumpy and the sidewalks are narrow. Thanks to LuLu for a fun bus ride.
