Vesuvius is okay, Pompeii is amazing.
Vesuvius was ok, you hike up about 25-30 to see the big hole and go down without guide. So if you want to see it , treat it like a hike. Pompeii, on other hand, was amazing. Guide Mikayla was funny, friendly and really passion about history. He deserve 5 starts.

Awesome day! Lunch was better than expected. It was especially nice that they would pick us up and drop us off near our accommodations. I’d recommend this to any of my friends.

A Breathtaking Journey through Vesuvius and Pompeii
Overall, my trip to Vesuvius and Pompeii was an unforgettable experience. The stunning views from Mount Vesuvius and the rich history of Pompeii created an extraordinary adventure. This is a must-visit destination that will leave you in awe of nature's power and the resilience of human history. The guides were really amazing also

    Well organised day trip
Very convenient way to explore both Pompeii and Vesuvius in one day with everything included. Transport all went smoothly and took the stress out of planning the day ourselves. The cost included everything like the entry tickets and a pizza and drink for lunch, but we were also given the option of gnocci and tomato sauce. For Pompeii we had a guided tour where as for Mt Vesuvius it was self guided which we enjoyed to have a balance between the two. It was the minimum amount of time I would recommend spending in Pompeii, if you are really interested in the detailed history of it then I would say to spend a day doing only Pompeii. We felt that due to the tour guide (Mateo) we didn’t have enough time to see as much as Pompeii as we wanted to at our own pace. He spent too much time at the beginning of the tour giving us detailed talks stood still which meant we were rushed at some of the most beautiful parts. The climb up Mt Vesuvius was quite steep but had beautiful views and didn’t take long (around 30 mins). You could try some wine at a bar at the top and buy souvenirs.

    Definitely a worthy tour
it was an amazing experience to see nearly 2000 years ago, Pompeii was already a bustling city with many great big buildings, temples, public baths, shops, fountains and rich dwellings. Our local guide was excellent, spoke very good English and provided a lot of details including the history of Pompeii. Make sure you have a few 50 cents euro changes to use for the toilet before you entre Pompeii. Driving up Mt. Vesuvius in a large tour bus is an experience itself, I am not sure how our bus driver managed to squeeze past another bus coming down the mountain, he should be paid danger money. Climbing Mt. Vesuvius from the ticket gate is not difficult but it's a reasonable steep climb for 30 - 40 minutes, the view is spectacular over the bay of Naples, coming down certainly is not easier, the path is gravel, can be slippery, just take your time and enjoy the view. Make sure you have some cash, cafe/bar up there selling drinks only takes cash.

Too rushed, guide has a temper, not recommended
This was a big group of people. It's challenging for a guide to make it a great experience with a large group, but this guide did not make it any easier. He scolded & berated a group with our group for taking pics rather than keeping up with his very quick pace. He seemed in a bad mood and came across as somewhat rude overall, rushing everyone through the site, explaining things before many of the group arrived within earshot. He did not actually yell at my family, but his treatment of others made us uncomfortable. This is a site that benefits from someone explaining what you are looking at since there is so much behind what you are looking at, but I would not recommend this tour, esp for the price.

Great activities to do while in Italy
Mount Vesuvius is a must; its view of the city is incredible. Walking up is a self-paced activity with no guide, but one isn't really needed. Pompeii was also pretty cool. They explained what life was like in Pompeii and showed us around the ruins. They didn't take us inside the museum that I think had some of the actual body remains, so we only really saw the building ruins (which of course is interesting in and of itself). We were a large group, so they split us up with two different guides. The guides who take you through Pompeii are different than the guide for the whole excursion. Lunch was fine but you only got the choice of pizza. They said you had the option to get something else as long as you pay for it yourself, but a friend wanted to get just fries instead and they never actually brought it out after he asked (he wasn't charged for them either though). There was a bit of a mix up with the pick up location (they were waiting for us in a different location than what they sent me in an email the previous day), but it was fixed pretty quickly when I called. All in all a good experience. I just morbidly wish I got to see more Pompeii bodies :)

Excellent tour, passionate guide, transportation included.
Excellent tour! It was about 5 hours total. They provided accomodations to pick us up at our hotel at 10:10. Bus of about 30 people, but once we got to the excavation site, they split us in half. Took about 40 mins to reach the destination from Gibraldi Square in Naples. Over the 2-3 hour walking tour, we covered about a 1/3 Pompeii, focusing on the major points of interest. Our guide was very passionate and knowledgeable. Afterwards we were given 30 mins to check out the shops on the close vicinity. Afterwards the bus brought us back to the Train Station in Naples. Would recommend a tour over walking around on your own. While we had accomodations to go back to Naples, some people went on to the Mount Vesuvius tour, while others were staying longer to your Pompeii on your own. The included transportation is great of you don't have a lot of time to dedicate to viewing Pompeii.

Pompeii local interpretive guide is great. Didn’t see much at Mr Vesuvius due to heavy rain and fog.

    Horrible Pompeii tour guide
This tour is two separate tours. The Mt Vesuvius portion was good. No issues. I would this portion as 4 stars. The Pompeii tour was another matter. Mateo was our tour guide. We flew out of our way to see Pompeii. This tour guide was horrible. For 45 minutes we stood outside the ruins while he talked. We still had seen nothing. Once we got in the ruins we heard multiple times how it was like Las Vegas, everything today comes from the past and Pompeii had the first McDonald’s. We would move 10 feet and then listen to him say the same thing again and again. About 10 times. They were wealthy. Isn’t the marble tile beautiful. After hearing no real facts or real history he said we had run out of time and we needed to choose between the last two things to see. If he is your tour guide RUN!! We went back the next day on our own. We saw the most fabulous sites with magnificent scale and architecture. It’s too bad to make a special trip and end up with a unprepared guide. Total waste of money. We even had a couple pretend to get lost so they could walk around and see more.

    A Great day out.
Great trip out. First to Mt Vesuvius, bit if a slog to walk up to the top of the mountain (we're not the fittest) but when you get up there it was well worth it. Then a short coach ride back down the mountain to Pompeii. Taken to a pizza restaurant everyone given a large pizza. No choice but the Margarita pizza was top notch. 1 small glass of coke also but there was water to drink aswell. Then into a guided tour of Pompeii with a very passionate and enthusiastic guide who spoke decent English. Not enough time at Pompeii but trying to squeeze both trips into one day that can be expected. Thoroughly recommend the trip.

    Just ok
In the beginning of the trip our names were not called, but this may be because we booked it the night before. Anyways we texted them and they came to collect us so no harm no foul. The Pompei trip was nice. Our guide was nice and very enthusiastic. We did not get to see the arena at all and we only saw 2 plaster bodies. The time was limited and the area huge so maybe that’s why. We went back to the meeting area and they showed us the restaurant were we had the meal (that was included). The staff there was a little rude. It is ether a pizza margarita or a salad or gnocchi and a drink. We were 5 people but they didn’t tell any of us when we should return to the meeting point. The reception was bad so I didn’t receive the messages that they sent me. Fortunately they called us and told us that the bus was leaving and we rushed there in time! The Vesuvius tour was 1:20 long which was ok for us but I don’t think is enough for someone with bad fitness to claim to the top. All in all an ok experience for the price.

    Great excursion
This was a wonderful excursion. Unfortunately, Mount Vesuvius was closed due to the weather. In Pompeii, we learned a lot about the history and archeological techniques that are being done to expose more about the culture at the time of the devastation that occurred. It was very interesting. My only complaint is that I would have loved to explore Pompeii more!!!

    Try another tour group
I disliked this tour quite a bit. While the actual guide (Maria) was okay at providing information about the various points of interest, the group size of about 40, made it very difficult to keep up physically. Walking from site to site with the group was very awkward cause there were so many walking at different speeds. In addition, trying to navigate the cross traffic and other tour groups was very frustrating. Above all though, the overall tour coordinator (her name might be spelled Helga or Ulga) was beyond rude. At one point, Helga was so abrupt with me that her own coworker inserted himself into the conversation I was trying to have with her about the final details about returning on a van to go back to the hotel in Rome, by saying she didn’t speak English. What bull! I believe she understood English perfectly and just didn’t want me to bother her. Super frustrating experience and I would not recommend them to my worst enemy.

We three had booked about a month ago from home. We were really looking forward to it. We were outside our apartment 5 minutes early to see our driver -Mario,talking on his phone. When we did get in the car we were told that our guide would be coming soon? Julia arrived about 10 minutes late so our start was about 15 minutes late. 5 adults in the car -that is 3 in the back seat for a full day tour on hot day was not comfortable. In past tours we have had a larger vehicle - more comfort. I realise that the traffic disruptions(road works etc )were unavoidable however it made for long periods of sitting close together with our guide and driver in voluble conversation in Italian. This to us was quite rude and not what we had paid a large number of Euros for! The coastline is spectacular and we would have loved to have spent a little more time In Amalfi and Positano wandering thru the street shops instead of being rushed through.
While we were in the car for the long periods waiting,we would have loved some more history info and our questions answered.
The lunch spot was a great choice with good food and great views.
All in all we felt our Amalfi experience could have been so much better.

Our guide Maria Palescanďolo was wonderful, her English was perfect and she had a brilliant sense of humour, along with the excellent driver, Ricardo, we were taken on an excellent tour of the Amalfi coast, it was so well organised we some how managed to miss the crowds at all the places visited. Eventually to finish up at a superb restaurant for lunch, overlooking the sea with an amazing view.
Thank you for a day to remember, if you want a trip along the Amalfi coast by an excellent company go with this company'.

If you're in Naples or Sorrento for a few days, this tour is perfect because you have the opportunity to see much within the limited time frame that you have. Also since this is a private tour, you can choose the time you wish to be collected from your Hotel by your driver and guide.
However, do keep in mind that this tour is fast-paced, packed in with a lot and with a considerable amount of walking to be done- as the core areas of Ravello, Amalfi & Positano only allow pedestrian access. Plus with Positano being cut into a cliff, it's a lot of uphill and downhill, in sometimes very narrow areas. Nevertheless, there is literally no tour that I encountered that offered the opportunity to visit all the 3 towns in one day, which is why I readily opted for this one.
Our experienced and jovial driver, Eric, and affable guide, Alex, fetched us from our Sorrento hotel and en route to the coastal highway, the latter explained the day's itinerary to us and told us the history of the 3 towns we were going to visit. We would visit the mountaneous Ravello first, as the drive up to it would offer spectacular coastal and mountain views, plus take us through many interesting towns en route, next we would drive right down to the coast to visit Amalfi and save Positano for the end of our tour! Everything sounded great and it was!
We stopped many times en route to Ravello to take beautiful photographs, we also visited a reputed ceramic store and picked up interesting souvenirs. Ravello per se, is a small mountain encased town, but it's beauty lies in it being ensconed in nature. It is also involved with several music festivals. The drive down to Amalfi offered us very beautiful views as well. Arriving at Amalfi from lofty Ravello seemed unsual because it's exactly the opposite of Ravello- right at the level of the sea. There are many boat rides to be taken here, a nice beach, an interesting Cathedral to visit, delicious gelato to be savoured and fresh seafood take aways to be had in paper cones- also as Alex explained, the gentleman who invented the compass was from Amalfi. Next it was onwards to Positano. One of the most popular, photogenic, busiest and hardest to maneouver towns- but, the most interesting. Full of unique art galleries, stores, boutique hotels, restaurants, an iconic church- despite travelling the entire day, we still had the energy to explore with Alex by our side! Maybe it was the famous Amalfi gelato that pepped us up!
Make sure you try delicious lemon flavoured shaved ice (granita) enroute to/fro the towns or at Positano, try the region's famous Lacryma Christi (“Tears of Christ”) red wine and Amalfi's famed gelato and fresh seafood in a cone.
If you would like to make the most of your time and visit these 3 unique towns all in one day-this is the tour for you!

Our tour guide Alex Scellok was just amazing! Alex met us at the port of Sorrento and was very friendly and enthusiastic. We only had about six hours to visit the towns and ports of the Amalfi coast and the many other beautiful locations, but Alex and his driver, Enrico Di Biase, made sure to get as much as possible accomplished during our day tour including a beautiful lunch with a view of the amazing Amalfi coast including a stop at the beautiful Piccadilly Ceramiche factory and most importantly a visit with a Limoncello producer for tastings and purchases. Excellent and well informed tour and visit of the Amalfi coast - many great memories and pictures. Thank you, Alex and Enrico for the tour, the legends, the pictures, and the singing!

Can’t say enough good things about our Amalfi Coast tour. Our guide Roberto was amazing. The driver did a awesome job of navigating the narrow winding traffic filled roads. Absolutely beautiful scenery...we were staying in Sorrento, but now want to go back and stay in Positano. We highly recommend taking this tour!
