Extremely beautiful- and a great audio guide
The Church of St Nicholas, Valencia, is known as the Valencian Sistine Chapel, but I much preferred it to the one in the Vatican, because I didn’t have to queue for an hour and then fight a thousand tourists for space. The interior is stunning, the audio guide was- remarkably, as I don’t often say this- very good indeed, and the staff were rather lovely, particularly the lady looking after said audio guides. It’s very easy to miss the entrance to the church, but worth searching out.

A must to visit if in Valencia
It was a great experience and the audio guide worked really well. January was a great time to visit since not many people and you could really enjoy this amazing place. Just remember that the church is not open on Mondays for tourists.

Extraordinary temple, example of gothic architecture with baroque decoration
Absolutely incredible church, founded in the 13th century by Dominicans, and they consecrated the temple to Saint Nicholas. In the 15th century it was extended in a Gothic temple with central aisle. Towards the end of the 17th century they started a baroque renovation. This temple is a perfect example of the coexistence of gothic architecture and baroque decoration. Absolutely the must place to visit in Valencia.

    Jaw dropping sight!
It was difficult to get into this amazing church partly because whenever I was passing by the maine entrance was always closed and partly because I spent Christmas days in Valencia. Finally I realized that entry is possible only through the back door where the sign shows that this is the entrance to the parish. I can tell that it has been worth all the trying to get in, as I was blown away by the sight of the interior! It reminded me the San Antonio de los Alemanes in Madrid.

    Must See
Having seen many churches and cathedrals, this by far is the most beautiful. It is a feast for the senses and the audio guide helps to locate the body and mind within this baroque masterpiece. The ceiling is a masterclass in making you think you are looking at a flat surface but as you move around you start to see that the ceiling has indentations for windows. The imagery on the ceiling matches the chapels below. The alter is an array of paintings, statuary and gold metal work. I took so many photos but they are minor moments when compared to standing in this beautiful place.

    Stunning
Visited this beautiful church and was not disappointed. It's pretty much the valencia sistine chapel. It is stunning. The ceilings are stunning. The audio guide came free too which was great to have the history. I would say it's a must see.

    The Valencian 'Sistine Chapel'
They call it the Valencian 'Sistine Chapel' and for a good reason! Located in the historic centre of Valencia, this little church is truly one of the best sights in the city! For a reduced cost, you can choose the conbined ticket that also includes Silk Museum and the Church of Santos Juanes, that are located nearby!

    Amazing Church
I can’t believe that this church is not world famous. The art on the walls and ceilings is incredible. I found it more impressive than the Sistine Chapel. There are some great churches in Valencia but I thought this was the best, by far. Highly recommended.

    A golden visit in Valencia
A bit expensive, but for that everything was very well organized and you got a very informative audio guide with the ticket. The line seemed long at first, but it moved pretty quickly. Of course, it is worth buying a ticket in advance, because they have priority when entering.

Absolutely breathtaking place. Great audio guide as well. You can easily spent 1 hour here. It's really hidden from the outside.

I was literally speechless by the Church of St. Nicholas. The frescoes that adorn the walls are of extraordinary beauty and made me think of the Sistine Chapel. The Italian Audio Guide was very useful to fully understand the history and meaning of each artwork. I learned so much!

The combined ticket to the Silk Museum was a bit disappointing. The latter seemed to me a bit dull and with few interesting finds.

Valencia - a city full of movement, dynamism and appeal to the usufruct of the streets and its historic wealth. To visit and enjoy the visits. Religious monuments with expensive entries. The ticket reduction should extend to teachers who are not from Valencia. Being an intense and flat city, I noticed few features, in general, for people with disabilities and mobility difficulties.

One of Valencia’s highlights is the small church of San Nicolaus, known as the “Sistine Chapel of Valencia” due to its exuberantly sumptuous colour scheme.
The church itself is very hidden and cannot be seen from the outside. Yeah, it's magnificent, but here you know how to make money.
Where only a small obolus of €2 is requested for the old Gothic silk exchange with its state rooms and Unesco World Heritage status, here you simply declare the church a museum and call an outrageous €11 per person. The consideration of ceiling painting (made around 1700) is difficult to include in details and rather overwhelming, especially since one does not have access to the pictorially told episodes from the lives of unknown, local saints.
Incidentally, the 11 euros don't even include an audio guide.

We absolutely loved San Nicholas. It is a true treasure. It is reminiscent of the Sistine Chapel with every square inch of ceiling covered with magnificent frescoes. The Silk Museum was not of great interest to us and the other church was under renovation to such a degree there was no way to get a sense of it. Most importantly this was advertised as a skip the line trio of tickets. There were no lines in any of these venues. We could have walked in off the street. That said, San Nicholas was not to be missed and was worth the admission ticket for all three.

Valencia Cathedral is an imposing Gothic building that has undergone several changes over the centuries. Its construction began in the 13th century on an old mosque and was completed in the 17th century. The building houses the Chapel of the Holy Chalice, which is believed to contain the Holy Grail.

The cathedral features a mix of architectural styles, from early Gothic to Renaissance and Baroque elements. Its Miguelete tower is one of the most recognizable symbols of Valencia and offers impressive views of the city from above.

Be careful, the tourist map is not clear as to the precise location of the museum. I went along thinking it would be boring but it was interesting with good a good audio guide in English. The museum went through the history of silk making in Valencia in a building that was the centre of the trade in the city. There is also a good shop if you want to pick up clothes or a fan. Overall good value for €8.

We bought the joint ticket for the 3 of us.
The Juanes church is well worth it, the audio guide is included and it is a success, it is very enjoyable. The staff cares that you see it complete. Despite it being under construction when we went, we loved it.
The Silk Museum, we expected more.
We also really liked the church of San Nicolás. It has an audio guide included. It is in the El Carmen neighborhood that is characterized by all the graffiti on its streets.

What a stunning church. The Sistine Chapel of Valencia. Breathtaking frescoes in the ceiling. Stained glass in the windows. Masterpiece after masterpiece. Wonderful place that should NOT be missed. You receive an audio guide with the ticket price and you can tour the church at your own pace, admiring, observing and enjoying this incredible church.
Highly recommended.

A small place with lots of history and meaning. Audio is a must since you don’t want to miss anything. Try to avoid crowds. You will enjoy every minute. The paints and artwork in the ceiling is outstanding
