a Nature Lovers delight

We took the sunset tour to Albufera national park, which also included a stop off at a nature reserve, Lago del Puchol. There were only 5 of us in the minibus which made it feel more personal. Our guide (I'm really sorry, I didn't get his name, he said it three times but with the masks on and my middle-aged hearing, I just didn't catch it) was incredibly knowledgeable and had a great way of imparting it. We got to see flamingos, Storks and many other types of bird and waterfoul, as well as learning the history of the area from out guide, just wonderful.
After the visit to the nature reserve we headed over to the lake at Albufera. The drive there was amazing, passing rice fields and seeing lovely little thatched houses dotted along the lake. We were taken out onto the lake in a small wooden craft with other tourists, about 20 in total, the boatman was very interesting, all in Spanish but our tour guide came along too and translated for us. Sadly it was a cloudy evening so no amazing sunset, still beautiful to see but I would imagine on a clear day it would be stunning. I would highly recommend this tour, not something everyone that visits Valencia would think about doing but well worth it.

Wonderful trip

We (2 adults and a teenager) had a lovely trip with our guide Anaïs, who was very friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about preserving the natural area . We did the evening tour and watching the sunset while on a boat in the lagoon was really tranquil. We enjoyed the birdlife too - seeing a bittern and the black ibises flying overhead was a highlight.

WONDERFUL trip, views and experience!!!! Learned alot.

So staying in the great city of Valencia we found this visit on line and booked. The organisation worked great and the coach was on time, from the city the coach trip is about 40 minutes to the park. From the coach we walked to the lake (about 10 minutes stroll) and we were loaded onto a lovely long boat with shade luckily, as the weather was very hot indeed.

The cruise around the amazing lagoon was fantastic as we had a gentle breeze on the water and the guide gave us a great explanation of the lake in English and also showed us how to make a little boat from some leaves!!

Back onto dry land we walked into the village and found a cold beer, then we walked to lunch at a lovely restaurant. Then we walked back to the coach for home and by about 1530 we were back in the city centre.

REALLY not to be missed.

Worth it for business travellers killing time or holidaymakers alike.
I booked this trip the evening before the afternoon departure to fill a little time on a business trip.
I received my WhatsApp text the following morning advising of time and location of pick up. Just mentioned which hotel I was at and arrangements made to collect me (Valencia Centre)
Clean, 8 seater transit style vehicle with Joaquin as a guide. Knowledgeable about the area and delivered info in a number of languages.
First stop beach and protected dunes, then to a bird lagoon. Then onto a popular place for locals to watch sun down then a boat trip out onto the lagoon for sunset.
Buoyancy aids not provided BUT the lagoon is shallow and the risk is just not there so don’t be put off. I’m sure there would be one if you requested one.
Dropped back off at the hotel. Roughly three hours in total so for the price (c.£55) I was more than satisfied.
Good comms prior to pick up, knowledgable guide; top stuff.

Visit nature outside the city of Valencia

If you love nature and you're visiting Valencia, this is the excursion for you! We learned a lot about the history of Albufera and it's huge importance to the city of Valencia and about the nature conservation work done to preserve this park. Enjoyed the boat trip. Our tour guide, Anais, was excellent.

Perfect way to spend a summer evening!

Our host Joaquin (the best!) drove a couple and I to the park, then to the boat launch. He admirably spoke in Spanish (to the couple) and English (to me) throughout the whole evening. I learned a lot about the nature preserve, species of birds, history of the development, and truly enjoyed the beauty of the area. Then the boat ride. OMG. We joined another approx. 12 people, and were taken well into the lake to see the sun set. It was beautiful. I felt the whole evening - wonderful guide, safe travel, enjoyable companions and especially the beauty of the area - was the perfect summer event. HIGHLY recommend.

The boat trip was the highlight, but this is a tour for those people interested in nature
We really enjoyed the 4+ hour tour with Anaise, in a small group (8 people) with stops to here about the conservation of the Alburfera, including the dunes and the halted development at El Salar. We even saw a flamingo. The boat trip is a highlight wand drifting as the sunset was stunning.

Albufera at Sunset

This was a lovely trip. My wife and I went on the sunset tour with 3 other people and the tour guide. The guide, Anais, was very interactive throughout and knowledeable particularly about the impacts man has made on the environment and what is being done by Valencia to correct the errors of the past. Really enjoyed this trip.

Nice nature trip
Nice trip, the guide was very knowledgeable, the boat trip was cool, we were unlucky that it was cloudy so we didn't see the sunset but it was still nice. Before the boat trip, we walked through the park and saw some of the birds. You need to bring your own food and water as stated.
