    Not what we paid for.
Be clear where the tour starts. Along with another family, we stood next to a statue outside the front door of the museum. The meeting spot was, from what we could tell, on the street entrance. We paid for an English only tour. We got a English/Spanish tour. Because the guide spent the entire time translating everything she said, she rushed through her presentation and refused to take any questions. We were allowed to stay in the museum after the tour. However, due to circumstances beyond our control, we have not eaten anything that morning and were very hungry. When we asked the guide the location of the restaurant, she kept giving us directions to sites in the museum. When we explained our situation she replied with “well, if that’s what you want to do.” One star because the guide was knowledgeable. Take off four stars for previous explanation and the guide being rude and snippy.

    Thoughtful private tour
I did a search and came across this tour company. We decided to book the private tour of the Royal Palace and we so thankful we did! The communication before hand was great. Telling us our guides name and exactly were to meet. Our guide was Saskia and she was amazing! She was so energetic ( in spite of the heat) and gave us such great insight and information into each room and the history of Spain. After the tour, she was super helpful in making us a dinner reservation and we were thankful for the too! Highly recommend the private tour, and specifically Saskia!

    Cuidado- poor service
Cuidado!!! Not a well run tour company. Poor instructions on meeting place and zero customer service. We lost $200 because they didn’t have a good meeting spot and didn’t use umbrellas like promised to find them. Person on phone didn’t understand English. Emailed to get refund, was told “sorry, everyone else found us.” I would NOT use them

    Poor organisation and customer service.
Awful experience with this company when booking a tour of the Madrid palace. I paid for 6 people to be on the tour costing just under €200 and when we arrived the tour guide didn’t have us on his list and therefore we couldn’t join the tour. There were also two American couples having the exact same issue. When asked what we should do the tour guide shrugged and said “I don’t know” so we ended up having to go and pay again for general admission to the venue and walk around on our own. I emailed Feel the City Tours immediately to make them aware of the issue and ask for a refund, but got no reply. Emailed again when I got back to the Uk and again haven’t had a reply. So it appears I won’t be getting my €200 euro’s back. Really disappointing as it was the only bad experience we had of our entire stay in Madrid.

    Americans beware!!!
I scheduled and paid for my family’s tour with feel the city before arriving in Madrid. The day before our tour of La Palacio Real, I received a phone call from the company saying that they overbooked and that they had to cancel us. My bag for them to see if there was another opening in the next two days while we were still in Madrid. The young lady said that she would call me back. I thought I called her back two more times before she was able to say she found an opening two days later. She said everything would remain the same and to meet at the same place. We should up an hour before and then 10 minutes before when we should be finding our guide I called her again and she said to just be patient the guide was running late. After another 15 minutes I called again, This time she said I must not be at the correct meeting place and the tour had already entered La Palacio Real. I pulled out the tickets I had printed for our previous rescheduled tour time and it said to meet at the statue of Philip and that’s exactly where I was and had been for an hour and a half. She said I should’ve received another email from her however I combed through my email in my junk box and I have never received an email other than the initial one when I scheduled the tour . It’s important to note that I did not receive an email saying that they canceled my tour. I was called through WhatsApp about this. When I was struggling to communicate with the lady on WhatsApp, my friend who’s Spanish is better took the phone and she told me that the representative from the company acknowledged that she had confused two different parties because our names were the same. I was told that they would refund my money within five days. The five days came and went. I contacted the company by texting the same WhatsApp number and I can see that they read it but they have chosen not to respond to me or refund my money. Our trip to Madrid and Barcelona were wonderful we celebrated my father‘s 75th birthday and my kids really enjoyed Spanish culture. This is the one time I actually started crying in front of everybody because I had carefully planned every aspect only to have it fall apart. I do not recommend this company.

Find another company for this tour!
We signed up for a group guided tour in English of the royal Palace. Our guide was not friendly, her English was very poor and we basically met the group about 10 min walk from the Palace and all she did was walk us through each room. She has limited knowledge of the Palace and history of the Spanish Monarchy. She could not answer any questions we asked either because she didn’t know or could not understand us. Again, her English was very limited. Do not book this tour!

We loved the Toledo city and farm lunch tour
We just finished this tour which was referred to us by our concierge at the Hyatt Centric. Our tour guides Olga and Mateo were fun, well-informed and excellent hosts as well as great at keeping the tour on time. Toledo is a beautiful city with a rich history and Olga lives there so she is very familiar with the local and current life there in addition to the history. After the city tour in the morning you visit a huge ranch, gain an understanding of the ranch’s business and products and sample them at lunch. The company only schedules small group tours so it’s easy to connect with the guides and other tourists on the trip.

Horrible experience and they refused to refund us a tour that never happened
After walking 15min away from the palace we found the meeting point. Of course we were late as we thought like in any other country and place you meet in front of the place you are suppose to visit. But with this people we had to walk away from it, which made us 10min late for our appointment. When we reached the guide left and there was no other timing for this day and they refused to refund us the money. For me this is stealing. Don't book with them I am sure you can find a better and more professional comapny

    Tourist Trap
This is a not a Palace guided tour. The meeting point is a 15 minute walk from the Palace. After discovering this too late, and hiking through the heat to reach the meeting point, we were too late and missed the tour. The company was responsive but couldn't help us - refused a refund and had no other tours that day. On every trip, you fall into one tourist trap - this was mine for Madrid.

    Very poor experience
I advise people visiting Madrid to book their own tickets into the palace in advance and avoid this tour. The tour is four times as expensive and is terrible. Our guide, a woman did not even make an effort to appear connected and involved. She rushed us through the rooms and gave no additional information that u could not get from the legends in each room. The Bluetooth earphones were jarring . On the whole a bad experience though the palace is beautiful and would be great with a good guide.

This is a screwed up operation
We made a reservation to take a guided tour of the Royal Palace, a total of 69.8 Euros. We were early, saw the guide, tried to check in per the confirmation, but she had no record of our being on her tour, and would not honor the reservation we showed her on the cellphone. She told us to call the office, gave them the confirmation number, but they said that while our reservation was valid, there was no way we could join the tour. This business seems totally confused. There were 30 in her group, a size too large, especially given the price. Instead, we stood in line and did a self-guided tour at a total of 30 Euros. We could have gotten tickets to this tour online, which would have saved twenty minutes in line. We have no opinion of the quality of the tour, as we could not be on it. It remains to be seen if they will refund our money. Travelers, be wary of this company.

    Decent guided tour
I booked this through a third party site. I thought I was purchasing a tour directly through the Palace. After paying a bit more attention, I realized what I had done. When reading the reviews I was very worried about the tour and considered not going at all and buying tickets at the door. The reviews are not accurate. This tour is just fine. The tour guide was wonderful in the Palace. The tour is only an hour or so and the rest of the time is taken up getting into the museum. The guide gave wonderful commentary and you could understand her completely. Is there room for improvement yes. In other words, the guide could have explained what to expect a little bit more. There was a large group of about 15 or so. AS is typical of American tourist, there was many complaints. We meet the guide at the Metro station and walked over to the palace. She then checked us in and walked us through security. We made our way into the palace and people with large bags had to check their bags. She then got audioguides for us to listen to her. The issue is that she never explained what she was doing when. This left people wondering what and where to go next. That is my only complaint. For this price, this isn't a bad deal. I have paid why more for private tours.

The guide never turned up. Despite us calling more than 3-4 times, they promised someone will come and no one did. We did get our money back, but we wasted a whole day.
