Highly recommend this trip for new and seasoned travelers!
We had an excellent time on the Windmills of Don Quixote Wine Tour from Madrid. Ignacio worked with us to arrange a private tour for just us two (in Spanish), collected us from the hotel and shared a wealth of information throughout. While we have visited Madrid several times in the past, seeing the famous windmills has always been on our list. We also enjoyed the local winery and wine tasting, as well as a visit to a safron supplier. This day trip was one of the highlights of our visit. Highly recommend.

      Vino en la Ribera
Ignacio gives you a peek into the glamourous world that is wine in the Ribera region. Within the first few minutes you can tell he is a man deeply passionate about wine and the people who produce it. A man with a deep understanding and appreciation of wine. He strives to give you a truly unforgetable experience. Words simply aren't enough to explain the journey he will take you on because he will leave you wordless at every stop. Could not recommend more.

Not the average Wine Tour-Don Quixote, Windmills, Castle and More!
My wife and I were in Madrid during the beginning of December and choose this Wine Tour because it sounded different than the run-of-the-mill Winery Tours. The tour guide & owner of Winebus (Ignacio) is excellent and very passionate. We specifically visited the winery of Bodegas Jesus Diaz e Hijos, the town of El Toboso (and the Cervantes Museum), and the Windmills and Castle of Consuegra. The Castle itself was well worth the cost of this tour. Lunch at a local restaurant was also excellent. The only caveat that I would mention is that this is a very full day tour. So be prepared for a fair amount of driving time between the various stops. But again, well worth the time spent.

This winery tour stands out as my most gratifying experience
It provided an in-depth exploration of the entire wine-making journey, starting from grape harvesting and meticulous selection, progressing through filtering and fermentation, to the wine barrel resting period, and concluding with the bottling process—all accompanied by insightful and detailed explanations. The experience included a delightful tasting session featuring seven or eight exceptional red and white wines. The tour guide,Ignacio, was exceptionally fluent in English, offering a comprehensive overview of the rich history of Spain and its intricate connection to the world of wine. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour guide for an enriching and enjoyable winery experience.

Windmills of La Mancha and Don Quixote
Very interesting and informative tour about Don Quixote and the infamous windmills of La Mancha. The windmills are incredible and the views from the castle are spectacular. The food and wine were excellent as well. Thank you so much, Ignacio, for a wonderful trip.

Lisa was the best. We had an amazing time.
Lisa was the best. She took her time with us, showed us everything we needed to see. Recommended us in every situation when we needed advise. And most importantly, she went out of her way to consistently make sure we were having a great time and if we needed anything at all. First class service throughout. I would recommend this tour to everyone I know. Especially if you enjoy a tour guide who loves what she does and will make you feel the same.

Ignacio is a philosopher and all round lovely human being
Oh my gosh, what a treat. So much information and a lovely guide Ignacio who made us feel so comfortable on the drive and gave so many stories and understood the terroir and wine history that it came alive. We booked this based on other travellers reviews and just so happy to have done so. The lamb in the restaurant was Devine and felt so looked after throughout the day. Would recommend in a heartbeat. Rob and Jane Jones…….thank you Ignacio xx

      Amazing Tour
We embarked on an incredible journey led by our tour guide, Ignacio, which turned out to be a truly exceptional adventure. The combination of the remarkable winery and the captivating history was beyond compare. The windmills and fortress added a picturesque touch that enhanced the overall experience. This tour is an absolute must-try, and passing it up would be a missed opportunity. What an utterly astonishing day it was. Our day was packed to the brim with exploration, yet every moment was undeniably worthwhile. Our driver and guide for the day exhibited an impressive depth of knowledge concerning Spain's history and the wine region. During our drive from the city, he skillfully pointed out various landmarks, offered enlightening responses to our inquiries, and regaled us with tales of Spain. Each of our stops held its own fascination, and our guide was at our side, providing personalized insights throughout. He even joined us for lunch, suggesting that we order an assortment of dishes to share – a brilliant notion that allowed us to savor a diverse array of flavors. A highlight of the tour was when, at the windmills, our guide pleasantly surprised us with a bottle of wine. Without a doubt, I wholeheartedly grant this tour a perfect five-star rating and enthusiastically urge anyone to make room for it in their travel itinerary!

      Must do tour!
Excellent, we had an awesome adventure with our tour guide Ignacio. We were lucky enough to be the only ones in the tour. Ignacio was able to grant us some extra time in Toledo. The winery and history was superb, I never imagine such a place to exist. The windmills were picturesque. This tour is a must do! Don’t miss out.

      Fantastic Tour
Oh My Gosh! What an amazing day. It was a very full day of exploring but well worth it. We made quite a few stops and each one wasn't too fast or too slow. Our driver/guide for the day was so knowledgeable on the history of Spain and the wine region. On our drive from the city, he pointed out sights, answered our questions and told us about Spain. All of our stops were interesting and he was our personal guide. He joined us for lunch. At his suggestion we ordered several dishes and shared. Great idea as we got to sample many dishes. There were 2 highlights - the goats and the Windmills. The goats were in a field by the road. We are all animal lovers so we had to get a closer look. We drove over and met the man herding the goats. Turns out they were all expecting baby goats. At the windmills, our guide surprised us with a bottle of wine to enjoy as we took in the views. I absolutely give this tour FIVE stars and highly recommend working it into your trip!!

      Memories for a lifetime
We thoroughly enjoyed our wine and castles tour with Don Ignacio! He shared a lot of history and context with us on the journey. The family-owned wine business on our first stop also shared about the history and their process, which was fascinating. The food at our lunch stop was delicious. The castles, windmills, and countryside scenery were picturesque and breathtaking. Don Ignacio took pictures for us so that we could be fully present and experience the moments. He was also very accommodating of our needs and comfort. I would recommend this tour to others and would do another Winebus tour given the opportunity to travel to Madrid again.

A Great Day in Rueda and Avila!
Our tour with WineBus turned out to be via wine car: we were the only two people on the tour! It speaks to the quality of our guide Ignacio that he actually ran his tour for just two. We have had other operators cancel for that number. The tour was ideal for us. We wanted to visit the Rueda wine region and its great white wines. We also wanted to do a day trip to Avila. This combined both! Ignacio gave us a brief history of Spain on the way and told us some things about the wines. He is a charming and loquacious guide who obviously enjoys what he is doing. Since we had a combination tour, we could only visit one winery, but it was certainly special. The winery was the oldest in the region with amazing tunnels under the winery and town. We saw the usual tanks and barrels, but we also saw a production facility for their sherry-like fortified wine. They had hundreds of demijohns under netting (to protect from potential hail) exposed to the elements! Their whites were delicious and we got to taste the fortified wine in a couple of stages of production. Fascinating! We had a good lunch stop and then drove on to Avila. We walked about half the walls and visited inside the Cathedral. This exceeded expectations. We highly recommend WineBus and Ignacio! It was a great day. Ignacio also followed up our trip by sending us pictures from the trip and information about wine bars and hotels throughout Spain. We really appreciated his follow up efforts.

The most memorable day of Spain!
My friend and I were so lucky to get a private wine tour with the windmills. Ignacio is a great guide and truly passionate about tourism in Spain. One of the many highlights was having a glass of wine at the windmills looks over Consuegra. Definitely a unique addition to the tour that is a great memory. We had extra time since it was only 2 of us and Ignacio offered to show us around Toledo. He took us the parador at sunset overlooking the beautiful city. He went the extra mile to ensure our last day in Spain was action packed. If you’re looking for a tour to get the most of your day definitely go with Winebus!

Personalized Tour of the Windmills with Wine!
This tour was one of my favorites we took during our trip to Madrid. My friend and I chose the Consuegra Windmills tour with wine tasting because I am a Don Quixote fan, but it included more than I even thought. First of all, the tour was a small group--which made the experience extra personalized. The vehicle which took us to the sites was clean and comfortable. The wine tasting was AMAZING. It is a family-owned, historic winery with delicious wine. We got to explore a castle, the windmills, and a museum. There were surprises along the way and a wealth of history. I highly recommend this tour and tour operator!

We had an amazing experience with Ignacio to Ribera del Duero and Segovia with a small group. We got to taste 5 different wines at a family owned winery and learned all about the winery and got to meet some of the family! After an amazing lunch we ended the day in Segovia. Both the Alcazar and Cathedral were amazing and the final highlights were getting to see the Roman aqueduct up close right in the middle of the old town and then having wine at a secluded location while watching the sunset over Sevovia. Truly an unforgettable experience and a fun group!!

Had a brilliant trip with Ignacio, he had lots of interesting stories about the history of Spain and how the wine played a part in it. We visited El lagar de Isilla winery which was beautiful And had a tour and tasting of some very delicious wines. Then we headed to Segovia which was a beautiful town well worth visiting, we saw the aqueduct and went in the cathedral. Ignacio was a brilliant tour guide full of fun stories and information and was extremely attentive to ensure we had a great day. I realised I had left my wallet inside the vehicle and Ignacio delivered it back to me that evening despite it being a long day - I was so grateful and really can’t thank him enough for his kindness! I couldn’t recommend his tours enough, it was a fantastic day and I can’t wait to visit Madrid again and go to another tour on the Winebus!

My husband and I had the pleasure to have Ignacio take us on an AMAZING tour this past week to a beautiful winery in Castile and Leon and then onto a wonderful tour of Segovia. Ignacio was exceptionally knowledgeable about all the history of Spain, he took great time to make sure we could ask questions and in explaining all of what was going on. He simply made the experience 100 times better then had we done it alone.

The winery was absolutely beautiful, and the wines fantastic (we bought bottles to bring back to the states). We got to sample 5 different wines of varieties and learn about the certification process for the region. After that we had lunch at an authentic wonderful place, and Ignacio had great recommendations, we listened and had our favorite meal in Spain.

After a wonderful morning we toured Segovia which was beautiful, and having Ignacio there to translate and help make sure we had a wonderful experience was lovely. We’ve already told our friends and when we’re back we’d absolutely do another of the tours he offers!!

Our favorite event of our time in Madrid!

Ignacio was awesome. He was so passionate about every part of the tour and it made for a remarkable experience. The tour started at the winery, which we really enjoyed. After the tasting we were able to purchase wine and have it shipped back to the states. The lunch that we had at the local restaurant in Milagros was awesome. The lamb chops were so delicious and unlike anything we’ve eaten before. Segovia was absolutely stunning. The castle, the church and the aqueducts were the icing on the cake of this great tour.

My mom and I went on this tour. It was the highlight of our trip to Madrid. First we had an amazing tour of a winery in the Ribera Del Duero region. As a wine enthusiast I thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the wine making process and then the tasting. We then had an amazing lunch and then headed to Segovia. Segovia was breathtaking. The castle, cathedral, and aqueducts were all fascinating. Ignacio gave us so much history and interesting facts and really customized the tour to cover what we wanted to see. I would give this tour 10 stars if I could!

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Ignacio was a very informative guide who provided very good background information on the region's history as well as wine making. Our tour group ended up being just my husband and myself so Ignacio was able to customize the trip with some interesting side trips. The wine tasting and tour were fun to do and the wine was excellent. Segovia is a beautiful town and the Alcazar tour was great. We look forward to booking another trip with Winebus the next time we are in Madrid area.

My girlfriend’s family and I visited Madrid last March, and we wanted to get a view of one of the old towns nearby and visit a winery. Giving a taste of both, the Winebus’ Segovia package did the trick.

When we met up with Ignacio, he provided a detailed itinerary of everything we’d be seeing for the day — and he gave us a nice, full schedule to make sure we could see as much as possible without feeling rushed.

Our first stop was Pago de los Capellanes, a beautiful winery with modern facilities. We toured the production part saw the very impressive cellar. The wines themselves were very good; everyone in our party found something we all liked. Both our tour guide and Ignacio were able to answer all our questions about the wines.

From there, Ignacio drove us to a small town nearby where we had lunch at a classic restaurant that served tasty Spanish fare (including hare). It was a very good pitstop before our final destination.

Finally, we visited Segovia, a beautiful town whose old town and Roman aqueduct are UNESCO World Heritage sites. The castle, cathedral, and aqueduct felt preserved in their original glory. The Gothic cathedral was stunning to take in from the inside. And finally, we walked from the city center down to a clearing right below the aqueduct. It was fantastic to see a part of its scale up close.

While all these places were great to experience, having Ignacio as our host truly made it better. He was nice, knowledgeable, and thoughtful, and was the perfect guide to show us around.

Even better, he had the timing figured out perfectly — so much so that we all shared a glass of wine together as the sun set on Segovia and our day. Beautiful.
