A rushed visit to Escorial and Valley of the fallen
The tour is good the locations are beautiful but we were rushed thru the entire tour. Our tour was early there were no lines or waiting any place but still our tour guide took us in such a rush we hardly have time for pictures or enjoy the beauty of the place. We were given 2 minutes for the gift shop or take pictures. She was very concerned to be back on time for the next tour, we arrived 15 minutes ahead of time. We were very disappointed I rather paid more to be able to enjoy the amazing beauty of the Escorial and Valley of the fallen

      Horrible trip
Horrible trip. Very disorganized. Tour guide ran through Toledo, from point to point. If you did not run next to him, you would came to the stop right when he finished his 2 sentence intro and would have to run to another point. I have been traveling for the last 40 years . It’s the worst trip.

      Segovia and Avila tour
Places that we visited were one of the most beautiful I have ever seen but unfortunatly we didn't have no time to Explorer and see the. We were always waiting for someone in the bus and couldn't leave on time. And the we had like 20 minutes of free time in every city. It clearly wasn't enough. The guides were both pleasant people but didn't proovide us any interesting facts maybe just a couple. I would like It if we could hear more during the driving the bus. I also bought another tour I hope It Will be better.

We learnt nothing on guided tour
The bus ride was OK. It takes longer than the train, but you get to see the panoramic view of the city from above. The guided tour was very poor because we didn't learn anything. When we were done with lunch we had to pay for another guide to actually teach us something about the city. Sadly enough we didn't have enough time to complete the tour before having to get back to the bus. This is why I would not recommend going on this particular tour.

      False advertising
I chose this trip specifically because it included entrance to the Alcázar in Segovia. We got there when it closed. Beatriz spent our time in Segovia in the Cathedral looking and explaining at everything. We were late getting to Segovia because of rush hour traffic. She could easily have shortened the Cathedral tour. She did not apologize for arriving late to the Alcázar and blamed it on traffic. The bus did not take the tour to see the Alcázar from the famous views from outside below. She did not explain that this was the original Walt Disney castle that many know.

      Trip to Segovia with momuments
Very disappointed. We thought we could spend time at the castle and did not even get near it. Most of the time was spent in two Cathedrals, which are on every corner in Spain. Paid for an English tour and most of the trip was lost in translation, although the translator tried her best. Would not recommend. Rent a car and go on your own

      Amazing morning, disappointing afternoon.
This was actually two tours. The morning was excellent, went to El Escorial and the Valley of the Fallen. The guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable about history and culture. The afternoon was disappointing. I paid to go to Toledo and see the historic sights. We started with an amazing view of the city historic district. Then we went to a souvenir shop. Disappointing to pay money and travel an hour each way to go to a souvenir shop. The afternoon guide, Ricardo, was annoying. Kept on repeating “fijaros (look)”, after spending half an hour at the souvenir shop kept on saying we don’t have a lot of time to see the city. We only got to walk around on our own 1 1/4 hours. It was late so we didn’t go back to the office, after dropping everyone else off at their hotel I was dropped off at a place 20 minutes from where I’m staying. I did better going on my own on my last trip.

Great option for half day tour from Madrid
Great tour providing just the right amount of information about the local sights. Very time efficient with sights so not a lot of time to spend wandering around the time at the end of the guided tour but that suited us. Tour guide was friendly and super helpful.

      Educational, friendly, enjoyable day!
Our guide José Luis was very organized yet relaxed and friendly. He provided all different types of information about the history of the cities and Spain in general. His english was very good. He kept a good pace and provided time for conveniences like a quick coffee and bathroom breaks. Highly recommend.

      Not recommended
Not a great tour. The bus was very uncomfortable with little leg room. We were absolutely jammed in like sardines. Uncomfortable!! The female guide did both Spanish and English but didn’t really seem to know interesting history to impart. I would recommend she research more and work on a better presentation. For 30 minutes in Avila we were held hostage at a candy store listening to an interminable explanation of how the candy is made from eggs and sugar. We had to wait through this BORING advertisement before the guide would take us up on the city walls, which we had paid for. We could have had 30 more minutes exploring the beautiful city, but didn’t! This was the largest and worst tour I’ve been on with Viator or trip advisor. It would have been much better to purchase train tickets and go on our own.

      I Would Not Recommend
THIS WAS THE ABSOLUTE WORST TOUR I EVER BEEN ON. MY FAVORITE PART WAS THE RIDE BACK TO MADRID. THANK YOU BUS DRIVER FOR GETTING ME THE HECK OUT OF THERE. I SAW THEY HAVE FREE CANCELLATION. IF YOU PURCHASED IT, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT. Summary of tour with the tourist guide Jose Luis: 1. Purchased English tour only 3 rooms was explained in English after I was complaining with my friend who was doing the tour with me He explained the fountain and statues in Spanish. when all I got was 1 sentance "this is the plaza in Segovia Alcazar" In Avia i had a wall explained on the way there on the bus and one room in a chaple. The entire tour was spanish. I got so angry and frustrated i didnt even bother sampling their itty bitty pastries that were all explained in spanish in Avila. At the end, the guide asked if I want him to explain the pastries I told him no. What the heck was the point everything was over and pretty much everyone was leaving. I have no idea what i was looking at. 2. We purchased the meal with the tour. Food and restrauant organization terrible. The waiter even seemed confused. Food was small and not very good. However I did like the bread and soup. Ohh the glass of wine was nice. 3. We were supposed to have time to ourselves. We did not got a moment of a break to visit shops or do our own site seeing. 4. Some umbrellas were provided. My friend and I were the lucky ones not get one. I'm riding on a bus soaked from head to toe. 5. If you can get a ride to these places just use Google images. You will probably get a better tour out of that than I did. What a garbage tour and waste of money. Good Luck.

Poor English meant a poor tour
We were assured by the tour company the guide would be fluent in English. This was certainly not the case. Explanations in English were difficult to understand even though the explanation given was about 1/4 of the same explanation given in Spanish. Difficult to know beforehand that one will be disappointed when the company confirms English speaking clients will have a good English speaking guide. Tour companies too anxious to get your money

      Great day trip!
Great day trip. Great guide. The combined Avila and segovia experience was worth it. Now I know what I want to see when I get back!
