I was looking for an experience to discover Madrid in an alternative way and we found it. Javier took his time to explain the street art around Lavapies district, and showed us two food markets which we later visited on our own. Nice spots & recommendations. I wish the guided visit would have lasted longer. Recommended service.

The tour took us through areas of Madrid which aren't the typical tourist ones, and we got to know a lot about them!
-We got to see really cool places which we would have definitely walked right by without noticing, if we were just out for a stroll by ourselves...

If you're in to street art and/or just want to see something different in Madrid, I can really recommend this tour!

Thanks for your support and recommendation! We hope to see you once again in the near future. There are many alternative parts in Madrid to be discovered, full of graffiti and street art.

The tour made for a nice way to get out of the heavily-touristed city center and all of the traditional museums and experience a local neighborhood and current art that's being done by local citizens. Javier took us around to some really interesting pieces and provided a lot of background on the pieces, the artist, and the social context around them. He was really engaging and helped me to see a different side of Madrid.

Hi Scott! We hope you got a new perspective of what does Madrid city has to offer to its visitors. Lavapies neighborhood is one of the most multicultural districts in town. Did you like the graffiti in Madrid? Thanks for your time to review our street art tour.

Javier was a lovely guy who showed us around the local art. After street art tours in other major cities we were not overly impressed with the art - a bit pedestrian and not particularly innovative. We did see some interesting art away from the tour as we spent a lot of time walking around Madrid. Thanks.

Thank you very much for your review. Were you using our free guide to discover those places on your own? You may have found really interesting art around Malasaña neighborhood too.

We made this tour as we generally like graffiti art tours in other big cities and we were absolutely impressed! Our tour guide Javier was super friendly and knowledgeable. He showed us the interesting area of Lavapiés and then took us to the Tabacalera, an old tabac fabric which is now a cultural centre. Wow! Don’t miss it! The inside is really amazing! We really enjoyed this tour as it showed us another side of Madrid!

We had a great morning see the wonderful street art around Madrid. Our guide Santi, was knowledge and passionate and ran the tour at an easy pace allowing plenty of time to admire and photograph the works.
My husband is an avid photographer and this tour took us into an area of the city we would not have seen if we stayed on the usual tourist route. Fabulous for street photography. We walked back to our hotel which was approximately 30mins away enjoying the sights as we went.
Overall a great experience and highly recommended.

We were travelling with another couple and we have a 4 month old baby. The company charged us €5 for our baby to attend the tour (all children under 5 years old were charged this). Are you kidding me? My friend paid for it up front (after A LOT of trouble with the company's website trying to book and pay for the tour and communicating with the owner) and didn't tell me until afterwards otherwise I would have demanded our money back. No business should charge money for a baby, nor for young children for that matter.

The tour itself was a waste of time. We saw more graffiti and street art on our walks around Madrid. The first hour and a half was basically spent at the train station then in a museum and standing outside one. We could have done that on our own time. There was then a great wall of 25 panels of graffiti murels which was explained by our guide but other than that, we were all ridiculously unimpressed. Generally the tour was not well organised and seemed very amateur. We learnt next to nothing about street art or the local artists and was shown pretty disappointing art.

For the second time in our lives, we left a tour early and we don't do that lightly. We have done graffiti tours in various other cities around the world (Bristol, London, Bogota and Lima). We have also done walking and cycling tours in alot of cities round the world (as we find them a great way to see and get to know a city) and this tour just doesn't rate, no matter what scale you apply.

Don't bother wasting your time or your money, whether or not you have children.

I did the tour with Javier and really loved it. Got to see things that I wouldn´t have seen otherwise. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about Street Art and I enjoyed very much that he showed us different kind of Street Art and not just the shiny new pieces. After the tour I was smiling, felt inspired and Javier had taught me much about the symbolic in the local street art.

Hi Tina! Thanks a lot for your kind comments. It is our pleasure to share the stories of the street art in Madrid with our guests. We take every tour as a unique opportunity to show our passion for this industry as well as an opportunity to show the alternative Madrid to our visitors.

Santiago our guide had great English. Started the tour near rail station and went to Lavapies. Unique visit to communal area that used to be old Tobacco factory. Excellent idea of Santiago's to look inside. Watched a wrestling match between and male and female! Simply amazing art work and Santi explain all the background. Was so he showed us the community building (which is due to be taken over by the Reina Sofia Museum next year. Thankyou Santiago
