Retiro Park Segway Tour in Madrid
From $41.56
Discover many of Madrid’s attractions and cruise effortlessly around Buen Retiro Park, the city’s green oasis, on this 1.5-hour Retiro Park Segway tour. Traveling by electric personal transporter, glide around the park’s beautiful highlights, seeing the lake, Crystal Palace, and monuments including the famous Fallen Angel statue. Plus, take in other landmarks such as cobbled Plaza Mayor and Puerto del Sol. Segway training and a helmet included.
What to Expect
Meet your guide in central Madrid, don the supplied helmet, and hop aboard your electric Segway. Get instructions on riding your personal transporter, and after a training run, set off behind your guide.
Spin around cobblestoned Plaza Mayor, once the scene of bullfights and public executions, and ride through the Literature Quarter (Barrio de las Letras), the former home of great Spanish writers like Cervantes.
Glide down the pedestrianized Calle Huertas, and stop at the Prado, Spain’s national art museum. Then, pass the Church of San Jerónimo el Real into Buen Retiro, Madrid’s beautiful main park, a favorite relaxation spot of Madrileños.
Once inside, spend around 40 minutes exploring the wide, tree-lined avenues and ornamental gardens, making regular stops to admire the sights and hear their stories from your guide. Circle the Retiro lake, with its Crystal Palace and colonnaded monument to King Alfonso XII, and view highlights like the Statue of the Fallen Angel, a 19th-century sculpture depicting Satan.
After soaking up the park's greenery, head back into the city streets. Navigate the bustling Puerta del Sol, and pass landmarks like the Alcalá Gate and Cibeles Palace before your 1.5-hour tour finishes at Plaza de San Miguel.

What a fantastic way to see the city and park. Having never done this before we were a little apprehensive - I don't know why. We had a fantastic time, thank you.

Just had a great trip with Yanny, who is a young Cuban guide that could not have been more helpful or interesting. He enjoys himself and seems to be popular with locals we passed :) As it was only my daughter and I then he...More

Very good despite the fall

Took awhile to assemble enough machines for the group which had arrived. After training we set off and had a good run through the backstreets before emerging at the park. This was via my falling off the curb - wish they had a handbrake! Lovely...More
