    A Beautiful Evening in Madrid
Daniel was an excellent guide. He grew up in Madrid so he knows the area extremely well, and he went to school in the US so he is also in touch with American culture and is very relatable for us Americans. His #1 priority is making sure his guests have a good time, and boy did we. We stopped at 2 great tapas bars where we sampled wine and beer before reaching our dinner destination where we had more tapas, sangria, and paella. Daniel, thanks again for the great evening!

    Real food, real Madrid
We had a fantastic time with Daniel. The food was excellent and the best of Madrid classics, such as tortilla, paella, croquette, meats and cheese, and sangria. We also had some excellent wine and beer. Daniel is an excellent communicator with a thorough knowledge of Madrid history and Spanish food. He even recommended foods and restaurants in other areas is Spain the group was soon to travel to. He has a great sense of humor and speaks with great clarity which made it easy to follow as we walked and ate. We had a wonderful time in every way!

    Wonderful history and food tour
Daniel organized a fun, interesting, and delicious food and history tour. We enjoyed ourselves from start to finish! The history we learned about Madrid and Spain was fascinating. Daniel shared some of his favorite restaurants and it really made our tour feel personal. Everything we tasted/ate was so good! (That paella! Those codfish croquettes!) I highly recommend this informative, fun, and delicious tour!!

    Great intro to Madrid!
Great way to get our bearings around the historical part of Madrid. Knowledgeable guide who answered our questions and added great insights into discovering this amazing city! Food and wine tastings thoroughly enjoyable!

    Good guide - poor tour
Our guide, Pablo, was engaging and informative; and sent us group photos after the tour -- but we cannot recommend it. Just two stops for tapas - one consisting of less-than-good ham and cheese in the upstairs room of a large restaurant; followed by an OK meal in a hot room that left us exhausted

    Fun walk, awesome tastings!
Daniel is a great guide. Excited about Madrids history and great local info along the way. His favorite bar, best chocolate churros ( been there since he was a kid and still his go to ), info on places we passed but not on the tour, helped another couple get a reservation at a restaurant as we passed for another day. All that not part of our Tapas stops! Interesting historical tidbits along with cultural traditions and stories of the plazas, churches and buildings along the way. Now the first tapas for the classic croquette was such a great find. Standing room only. Daniel knows people on every corner, not just where we stopped. And genuinely has friends everywhere we stopped. With a line out to the street we got right in and served in literally seconds. Clearly we jumped the line at each place because of Daniels intimacy with staff and owners. Food was great, Daniel provides awesome native guiding plus he is a dog foster and has saved many lives. That may not mean the same to everyone, but that kind of compassion tells you a lot about a person!

    Tapas, culture, & history
Pablo made our tour of Madrid such fun! It was a small group (6), so we could feel included and have any questions heard & answered. The culture and history was clearly given. The three choices for tapas and dinner were excellent. And, in true Spanish fashion, we felt welcomed and not rushed.

    Thank you, Madrid!
The food and drinks were plentiful and excellent. Our guide, Pablo, was very informative and fun. It was nice to talk to someone who could help us understand the culture of Madrid. My husband and I as well as our older teen fully enjoyed the evening.

    Amazing
Absolutely wonderful tour would be an understatement. My husband and I made a friend for life. Not only did we have an incredible, historically accurate, tour but our tour guide Daniel gave us the experience of the real side of Spain. The culture, the food, the stories, was an experience we will always remember and keep in our hearts. Daniel, if you ever came across this review, thank you for this memory. Thank you for everything!

What a fun night and a great way to start our vacation in Madrid. We visited three different places, learning about the history of Madrid as we walked, and sampled tapas that only locals would know to order. Pablo even taught us customs for ordering beer and wine, why ham hangs in doorways, and why pictures were painted on the street signs you see all over Madrid. A quick walk by Ernest Hemingway’s favorite restaurant, Botin, and the touching story of the convent sisters who had a revolving door to place babies in (now they sell fresh baked goods the same way) were some of my off-the-beaten-path favorite moments. The evening ended with a wonderful dinner of paella (which he asked the restaurant to cook without shellfish for my allergy) and taught us how to drink the dessert liquor (arriba, abajo, al centro, pa dentro)! Such a fun evening and perfect for any age.

Daniel was a awesome tour guide. He is very personable and has great knowledge of the history of Madrid. The tour was not expansive but hit several of the major historical parts of the city. He seamlessly blended this with stops at three different locations where we received wonderful tapas and wines. He was even able to give some history on the wine and the food. I recommend coming with an empty stomach.

What an amazing adventure we had with Daniel. My brother and I thought we just booked a tapas tour around Madrid but, low and behold, we had a history lesson as well. Daniel's knowledge of Madrid is commendable . But, more importantly, we had fun, tasted tapas where the locals go, had incredible wines to pair with the tapas, learned history and basically toured the city as well. Learned so many things -- much more than the bus tour provided. Daniel was the perfect host for Madrid, his English was impeccable and we felt like family when we parted. I can't say enough about how he introduced his city to us and left us knowing we want to return. Thank you, Daniel, for sharing your afternoon with us. Loved every minute of our 3.5 hours with you! Wishing you and your wife the very best in life.

We had an incredible tour with Pablo. Felt just like exploring Madrid with a good friend who knew all the best places to visit and eat. Perfect balance of a little bit of hisotry, recommendations, sight seeing and getting your bearings in this beautiful city. We had a mix of first timers to Madrid + people who had visited before and he was able to tail the tour to make it incredible for eveyrone. Wish we had more time to see more of Madrid with Pablo. Will definitely be recommending to all our friends and will book Pablo when we return.

Pablo was awesome. We started with a place that specializes in Cod Croquettes, then we went to a place that specialized in Jamon with Manchego cheese (with Beer or Tempranillo). And ended up at a place that serves delicious Spanish Tortilla (not to be confused with Mexican tortillas), chorizo, and Seafood Paella, paired with Sangria. Along the walk, we stopped by famous landmarks and were able to take pictures while Pablo explained their significance.

It was a great introduction to the city and the food/wine was perfect.

My wife and I spent the afternoon on the wine and tapas tour with our guide, Pablo. Not only was the wine and food superb, but we were able to get immediate access to some the more historically interesting tapas bars in Madrid. In addition, Pablo provided a wealth of information regarding the food and wines of Spain. Our guide, Pablo, is a native of Madrid, and was open to sharing stories and anecdotes of life in Madrid. I would highly recommend this tour, especially with Pablo as your guide.

There is no better way to start a vacation in Madrid than Daniel’s tour! He provides the perfect introduction to Spanish culture, customers, and cuisine, pointing out which restaurants are great and which ones to avoid. He's also a really funny, personable guy with an interesting history and a lot of good advice for traveling other regions of Spain. Just be prepared to have a siesta shortly afterwards, as you’re going to be completely stuffed with meat, cheese, and wine!

No fault of the guide, we waited a long time for our paella because the restaurant burned the first one and neglected to tell us. Food was good throughout. I said no to the sangria as it's not my thing. Our guide happily replaced it with a lovely Verdejo.
Despite the rain and cold of the evening, we had a lovely tour

This was amazing. Daniel was so kind and has a wonderful knowledge of the city. Also the food he took us to try was amazing. I high recommend if you want to discover some wonderful hiden gems of the city. We had a private tour, and my partner and I agree, it was one of our favorite tours on our Spanish trip.
