About the operator

- S6332UXcarolync0 contributionsWow! Three Gems in One DayWow! what a Day! It was a wonderful private road trip with Rodrigo to Poblet Monastery, Siurana and… Montserrat (yes, I finally got here!) Only took me five trips to Spain to get here. Rodrigo was the perfect guide, kind and attentive to my needs. Poblet has been home to a monastic community for years and was founded in the year 1150. It fell into a sad state in the 1830s but was restored to its former glory by four trusty and rich Italian Cistercians, and is now both an institution and a monument well worthy of a visit. I really loved the cloister. After that drive me to what I think of as Spain’s most beautiful villages, Siurana. It is a tiny, medieval village you have walk into as the streets are exceptionally narrow. It is a limestone paradise in Catalunya and because of the amazing, tall limestone cliffs, is very popular with climbers. I saw so many dashes of colourful clothing of the climbers as we wound out way to the top to explore the village and enjoy a leisurely lunch. It was lovely to have his company así have been travelling alone. Then, it was onwards to Montserrat, now late afternoon, which worked in my favour as nearly everyone had left by then. I truly appreciated this unique mountain because it is spectacular from a geological point of view, and also because this Benedictine monastery has more than a thousand years of history. I’ll didn’t have time to see the Holy Grotto but enjoyed the basilica, the Angelic door, many of its spaces and made sure I touched the right hand of Our Lady known also as the Black Madonna, who holds in her hand a sphere, the symbol of the universe. Gabi believed in the universe so I lit a long lasting blue candle in his memory. Today was a very special day for me. Really you need a whole day in Montserrat alone. Thank you Rodrigo for a memorable day.Written January 30, 2025
- leonardr8240 contributionsPrivate tour from Palamos to Girona, Besalu and the Dali museumWe had a wonderful tour with Rodrigo from Palamos to Girona, Besalu and the Dali museum. Rodrigo was a terrific guide, full of knowledge of the places we visited. We enjoyed every minute with Rodrigo and highly recommend him and the Barcelonalands staff who we arranged the tour with. Thank you very much!Written October 21, 2024
- LindaandRon0 contributionsAn interesting experienceWe went to the Dali museum on the only rainy day of the holiday. It was most interesting but Dali curated the museum himself and didn't want any explanations displayed next to his works of art,and no audio guides either, so one just had to work out all the exhibits oneself. A little explanation would have helpedWritten July 27, 2024
- 869lilyo0 contributionsExcellent audio!Excellent balance of history and interactive trivia. Points of interest to stop were excellent suggestions! Hope ‘Jeremy’ will produce more audios for other locations!Written June 17, 2024
- Dakcanoe0 contributionsSeville's FinestWow, is all we can say. This hotel exceeded our expectations! Wonderful staff who upgraded us to an amazing room exquisitely designed in an artful decor. Loved the beautiful vintage clawfoot tub in the bedroom, so luxurious. Breakfast was served in the most exquisite room with an amazing buffet. The toasted mushroom sandwich topped with caviar & fresh pansies served with champagne was out of this world! While arriving before check in time, we enjoyed a drink on the roof top where there was a pool and bar. The amazing views of Seville from the rooftop during the daytime or nighttime where lively music plays into the wee hours was so much fun!Written March 16, 2024
- popm4970 contributionsNot a good hotel! The Alhambra hotel is not the best choice, if you look at the hotel and generally the staff. The only good thing is the food, but the service in the restaurant is awful, rude! The opening in the morning is 8 but groups going to trips or airport ask for earlier opening ask the impossible!!! When in summer is ok for those coming to relax, but now in october for groups NO! Rooms are strange, shower in the room next to ved, no curtains!! Or in the balcony, and at the toilet no sink! The cleaning of rooms inexistent! Even changing towels when asked takes some days! No glass in the room or bathroom, waited 3 days to get one. Light cards...strange in sone rooms...and so on Staff not helpfull Avoid this hotel!Written October 20, 2023
- 322brenta0 contributionsDo it !Pickup was on time and without complication. Our guide, Sandra, was wonderful at pointing out interesting observations regarding the landscape and history on our way to Montserrat. The monastery and the natural landscape surrounding it are incredible. The visit to a local, small, family operated vineyard was a pleasant surprise. Very informative and charming tour of their operation, history, and, of course, the tasting was nice as well. Yes, we took advantage of their on-site purchase program to have more than a few bottles shipped home. The last part of the tour was a stop in Sitges which was nice to grab some lunch at a sea side cafe followed by a casual stroll through the narrow streets and shopping district. Finally, shout out to our guide, Sandra. Very friendly and offered a lot of interesting information, while still allowing us to take things in at our own pace.Written April 1, 2023
- Storyteller3770200 contributionsAmazingMy wife and I were treated to the most amazing, exclusive tour of Salvador Dalí’s museum and home in Figueres and Cadaqués, respectively. Our exclusive tour guide, Jordi Groeneveld is the Cohibas of tour guiding, you definitely want him if you are looking for the most extraordinary and cultivating experience of the museum and house of the immortal Dalí. We are definitely looking forward to going back to Barcelona.Written July 2, 2022
- 606germanz0 contributionsEXCELLENTExcellent. Everything was perfect. The guide, the personalized service, the punctuality. In particular, our guide showed us unique corners of the itinerary, we met native people, who taught us their work.Written May 26, 2022
- paultmoloney0 contributionsTerrible. Terrible. Beyond words. I repeat absolutely aghast of the cost and value for my hard earned money. The worst trip ever. Communication was poor , worse than poor. The owner knew he had a sub par guide but nevertheless let the tour go on. 6 fellow travellers left one third of the way through due to the inadequate tour.Written April 17, 2022
- Andrea M0 contributionsAVOID THIS TOUR OPERATORThe tour operator had one review when we booked. The review was “terrible” because the tour guide did not show up. We decided to take a chance and book the tour. The day before our tour, we received confirmation from the operator that everything was good. Then, one hour before pickup, the tour operator texted us, canceling the tour because the driver was “undisposed.” By then it was too late to book an alternate tour. Stay away from this tour operator. 2 reviews, 2 no-shows. I would give zero stars if that was an option.Written February 26, 2022
- astridr0se0 contributionsTERRIBLE!The driver/guide never showed up to pick me up from my hotel. This tour is a hotel pick up option. There were no communication from the tour operator on the time frame for the hotel pick up either. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS TOUR AND THIS TOUR OPERATOR. EXTREMELY INCOMPETENT!!!Written December 3, 2021
