11 on the scale of 1 to 10!
We had Sam as our guide and he was really great, funny, truly knowledgeable and visibly into doing what he loves. We got plenty of tips and suggestions from him and an amazing day biking around beautiful Barcelona! Thank you Sam and everyone at Fat Tires for making this possible. P.S Bikes were great for both adults and kids (My 9 year old daughter had a great time).

      ALVARO is the BEST!
Did a 3 hour bike tour with Alvaro and he was absolutely amazing. My wife and I have been traveling all over the world for 35+ years and he might have been the best tour guides ever. It obviously helps that he is a native English speaker, but speaks fluent Spanish, and seems to be fully integrated into the local Barcelona community and his Spanish->Mexican-->Texas heritage. His ability to plunge deep in intriguing, cultural heritage with big topics such as politics, art, architecture, religion, and wars while always balancing the vibe to not get too heavy, was unmatched. We would follow him anywhere!!!

      Exciting and interesting, would recommend.
Awesome way to see the city. Samuel was an amazing guide and so personable we felt like he was a long time friend. His passion for history and little surprises along the tour were a highlight of our trip.

      Must do experience for Barcelona!
Loved this tour! Our favourite way to see the city. Sonja was a great tour guide, very engaging, friendly and knowledgable about the city and its history. We went on the tour on our first day in Barcelona and picked up lots of tips and recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Would 100% recommend this tour.

Fun Intro to Barcelona for Family of Four
The half day bike tour was a perfect intro to the city of Barcelona for our family of four. The route was well thought out and we covered a ton of sites. Our guide Kyra was knowledgeable and fun. She showed us hidden gems that blew our mind. I would highly recommend this bike tour for a fun filled day with great company.

      Fun and learned a lot
Was fun to ride around and was very chill. The ride was flat and easy. There was a lot of facts and learns a lot about the city. Would recommend for anyone visiting.

      Not recommended
This trip was advertised as no more than 9 people but our group had 10 plus the guide. A group of 11 bikers is just too large to get around Barcelona safely and efficiently. We were often split up at lights, and had cars honking and people yelling at us. This tour also allows all ages, which is great for young families but makes it even more tricky for the poor guide to manage, ours spent the entire time focused on a young girl who didn’t know how to bike well. We went on another bike tour in San Sebastián that capped number of guests to 6, had a minimum age and recommended height recommendations and overall a much better experience. I will say our guide did a heroic job given the difficult setup, and did a really nice job explaining the sites.

      Seeing the sites with Samuel
Had an educational and entertaining afternoon bike tour with Samuel our fearless leader. Learned a lot about Catalonian and Spanish history and saw some amazing sites, including many we would not have had time to visit. Ride was well paced, orderly, safe, and fun. Would recommend and likely do again in another city!

      Fabulous Bike Tour
Highly recommend this tour, especially at the start of a trip to Barcelona. It really helps orient you to the city highlights and layout. Our guide Sophia was amazing. She taught us so much about the city and was just a joy to be with. She even provided a list of recommendations after the tour that we have been using. Muchas Gracias Sophia!

Great Tour and Tourist Leader (Sophia).
Sophia was awesome we toured around the city and she was very knowledgeable about the history behind each part. Highly recommend for people who want to learn and see more about Barcelona. At the end of the tour she then gave us things to do in the area.

A very wet day but a cheerful guide
Our tour was unfortunately scheduled for the wettest day in Barcelona for months. We got very wet! Consequently I can't say that I really enjoyed the tour, but the guide did his best to be cheerful and provided a lot of information. The route taken was varied and passed a lot of landmarks. Our guide recommended a place for coffee and churrros near La Sagrada which were simply the best on a wet day, and later gave us suggestions for a restaurant for lunch. We could not have changed the tour timing due to our schedule but be aware that tours are not cancelled for the weather.

Best way to see parts of Barcelona
Kyra was fantastic and so great with our three young kids! She shared lots of interesting information, we especially liked the tradition stories. It was a great way to quickly see some important parts of the city without walking. Highly recommend! I will look for these type of tours again in the future.

This trip is well worth it! My sister and I did the tour and absolutely loved it! The riding was easy paced and our guide always made sure to check that everyone was together! At times, it was a little chaotic navigating traffic but our guide ensured that we stayed together! We learnt so much about Gaudi, Barcelona and modernism. Entry into Sagrada Familia was incredible, and so worth the price. We loved this tour and would highly recommend this company!

My husband and I did the Gaudi bike tour with skip the line Sagrada Familia entrance. We joined the tour at 15:30 which was clearly signposted in Placa de Sant Jaume. The group was small, only 6 people and in general went at a nice leisurely pace. The tour gave us a fantastic overview of Barcelona as well as all the history of Gaudi and his works. We got to see all the main Gaudi structures in the city as well as other historical sites of interest. Included in our tour were tickets to the Sagrada Familia where we spent an hour - followed by churros from a local shop. All in all it was a really great tour with a very knowledgeable guide - Benjamin was brilliant! We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Barcelona!

We loved our bike tour and Iyeva (sorry, not sure of spelling) was a superb guide. The meeting point was easy to find and the bikes were really comfy - we were not saddle sore afterwards despite an afternoon of cycling. Helmets were provided although not obligatory if not wanted. We saw all the main sights and Iyeva gave us a great, detailed and entertaining history of the many buildings and monument we saw. She clearly loved living in Barcelona and her enthusiasm was infectious. The Sagrada Familia was absolutely awe-inspiring and I highly recommend using the audio guide (about €8). I would definitely book tours with this company when visiting other cities.

This was our third tour with Fat Tire. The others were outside of Paris so when I saw they were in Barcelona, I definitely wanted to experience the tour again. We were a small group of 4 and had a great time touring the city and visiting the Sagrada Familia. Yes I would agree with others that the biking can be a little chaotic. Fortunately it was a Saturday and in February so maybe fewer pedestrians and cars. There are designated bike lanes that you use when available wherever we were riding. A nice change to see a city without being on foot or a bus. I would highly recommend.

We have done 6-7 Fat Tire Tours in Paris and they were all 5* tours. This one, not so much. We rode on a Saturday afternoon with 12 in the group and with lots of traffic and some inexperienced riders, neither my husband nor I felt safe. For that reason I stayed at the rear but when I didn’t make a green light, I got dropped by the group. They went on and I spent about 15 minutes waiting The the leader to notice I was gone and come back for me.

The highlight of this tour was the Sagrada Familia and having tickets to get right in. We were given an hour to tour on our own and would have liked to have more time - the timeline we saw when we booked indicated we’d have longer. We also thought the group would stop for tapas but the leader said that was an error on the part of Trip Advisor and we wouldn’t be stopping during the tour. Not that big of a deal but still...

Doubt we will return to Barcelona but might give Fat Tire another chance.
