- 193glenng0 contributionsA perfect dayVincent, our guide & Joaquin, our driver are perfect hosts. We had a delightful day seeing the sites of Tarragona & Sitges. Vincent is both knowledgeable and very friendly. The stops that we made were excellent and so beautiful; and we learned so much ! Joaquin transported us as quickly as traffic would allow with both comfort & safety. We highly recommend this tour to all. Thanks so much to Vincent and Joaquin!Written October 10, 2024
- Roy D0 contributionsTwo beautiful towns with historyOur experience with Miquel touring Tarragona and Sitges was outstanding. Tarragona features many Roman ruins including an aqueduct and amphitheater along with gorgeous views of the sea. Sitges is a resort beach town with a magnificent beach where we stopped for lunch with views of the sea while eating. Miquel did a great job of giving us the full story of each of these beautiful, very old towns. Highly recommended.Written October 10, 2024
- GlobeTrotting3131260 contributionsfantastic tour on ebikeThis was. fantastic way to see the city on ebike, especially Montjuic where we were able to enjoy the views and olympic venues. Stephanie is SO knowledgeable about the history and architecture of barcelona and gave us a great education throughout, making sure that we got to see some specific sculpture highlights as well. The FC Barcelona museum is interesting and fun to see all the trophies etc, the stadium is sadly still under construction but we did get to enjoy a visit to their current home field at Olympic stadium.Written October 10, 2024

- Go5564220 contributionsPerfect Barcelona experienceOur one day experience was made nearly perfect with the help of Viator and our wonderful tour guide Vicent. His personal touches and willingness to share his vast knowledge was invaluable. There is no way we could have seen so much in an eight hour tour on our own. We went right to the front of the line at our major stops and got a great look at Barcelona from many different perspectives. I would highly recommend Viator and especially Vicent if you are visiting Barcelona.Written October 10, 2024

Luis was a very helpful and friendly guide. Despite the fact that we were late he called the winery and made sure we were able to participate in the tour. We appreciated his flexibility and understanding. We were also very happy for his guidance at a local Spanish restaurant as we struggled with the menu and language. Overall, it was a great day.

If you're in Barcelona or planning a trip, save a day for Cava and Montserrat!
We came to Spain to celebrate my 40th birthday and our 5th wedding anniversary. From the effortless pickup at our hotel, to the wonderfully led winery tour, to the unparalleled vistas of the Montserrat Monastery, this excursion was unforgettable.
To start our day, our tour guide drove us to the Llopart Winery in Cava. We learned about the history of this incredible winery which dates back nearly 1000 years and its journey through history of itself with dozens of generations of family ownership. The wine was great, the wine tour (led by Mario!) was fantastic, the perfect buzz kept us going, and we were ready for the main event of Montserrat!
The car journey (by van) to Montserrat was easy and allowed us to see more of the beautiful topography of Catalonia than we would have seen had we stayed in Barcelona proper. The monastery is built into the top of a mountain and the views from this gorgeous location were simply magical. We were able to see the basilica and surrounding complexes at our own pace (it was just the two of us!) in the off-season.
We had a lovely time, and we know you will too!

We had a wonderful day with our guide Matt. We went to Monserrat first. He gave us multiple options to spend our time since the day was rainy. After the Basilica, we viewed the art museum then ventured down to the cave of the Black Madonna via funicular. Then it was on to wine tasting at Llaport Winery. This was one of the best wine tasting experiences. Overall, a really great day!

I wanted to reduce the physical and mental overload of figuring out how to get to Montserrat using public transport. After a thorough search, I found several contenders, but I chose the one with the Cava tour because wine is always a great way to end a long day in the mountains! At first, I was quibbling about the price, but in retrospect, it was well worth the price of not having to worry about a thing!
Our guide, Dulce M.P. Ortiz, was a treasure trove of knowledge! Her engaging, kind, and calm demeanor made the trip enjoyable. The presence of a separate driver, who was also friendly and relaxed, allowed Dulce to focus on sharing various insights about the area during our drive, significantly enhancing our experience.
At the monastery, Dulce pointed out several important historical and geological considerations that influenced the site's development before leaving us to explore for several hours. My friend and I aren't huge hikers, yet we still decided to take the Sant Joan funicular to the hiking trails to enjoy the beautiful views and the rock formations and to admire the effort and work it must have taken to build the Sant Joan and Sant Onofre hermitages built into the side of the mountain.
PRO TIP: The funicular stations have vending machines for water and snacks that accept Euro coins. If you don't have water, buy it in the gift/restaurant area where credit cards are accepted or carry some Euro coins.
After Montserrat, we embarked on a scenic drive to our Cava tour site. Dulce left us in the capable hands of the Cava guide for a two-hour experience. Despite not being a wine connoisseur, I found the tour to be a unique and informative experience, appreciating the efforts and processes required to create cava. We then enjoyed a relaxing ride back to our Barcelona apartment, reflecting on the day's adventures.
Overall, excellent way to make full use of the day traveling and exploring various sites in the area with an excellent guide.

We had an absolutely wonderful time on our tour. Our tour guide, Teo, was incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating to our very need. He not only showed us the sights, but went out of the way to share recommendations for restaurants and local bars around our hotel. I would highly recommend this tour, and couldn’t say enough great things about Teo!

A fantastic day with Alex and our group of close friends! We started with the winery, which was beautiful, informative and delicious! Then to a traditional restaurant right below Montserrat for lunch and then the best for last...Montserrat is beautiful and pictures don't do it justice.
I highly recommend this tour!

We were so lucky to have had Evelyn as our tour guide who picked us up from our hotel and gave us a fantastic experience. She was both friendly and very knowledgeable and went out of her way to make sure both myself and my daughter had not only a great day with her in the Monastery but also for the rest of our time in Barcelona. Highly recommend especially if you are lucky enough to get Evelyn
