Awaken your taste buds with coffee and a traditional Catalan pastry, xuixo, and head to a family-run deli to sample meat and cheeses. Continue to Santa Caterina Market—a less-crowded alternative to La Boqueria Market—to learn about local produce before doing more tastings in the Born area, where one of the stops is to a shop that’s been open for more than 150 years. Seville Tapas & Flamenco Tour was Awesome and so was our Tour Guide, O'Sing!
My family did the Seville Tapas & Flamenco Tour in Spain. It was excellent! There was so many wonderful things about it. Our tour guide was O'Sing and he was awesome! The tapas restaurants we went to were fabulous. We loved the food and drink that was chosen - great variety to embrace Sevilla's culture. We really liked it all - ox tail, black seafood spaghetti, jamon, potatoes, pork steak, custard, vermouth and wine. It was excellent. O'Sing was a great tour guide - very friendly and knowledgeable about Sevilla, the small business owners they support, the food, wine and the sites. Also, loved the Flamenco show and O'Sing provided us with a lot of background information so we knew more about the style of dance prior to the show. Would highly recommend!

    A must do in Barcelona
Another great food tour. After doing one in Rome, I booked this last minute and was very glad I did. The guide Alex as excellent and she shared her passion for food and Barelona as we explored and ate and drank our way around! I would recommend doing this tour early in your stay in Barcelona so you can go back and experience the amazing food venues again

    What a great tour!
What a great way to experience Barcelona! We met our guide Alexandra at a location in the Gracia neighborhood. Honestly, I didn't know anything about the neighborhood so it was really interesting to hear all about it. Gracia isn't touristy, so it was certainly not a place I'd have discovered by myself. Anyway, we started at a cool little hole in the wall kind of place that was formerly a meeting place for the resistance during the Spanish Civil War. It doesn't look like it's been updated much since then but wow, what food! First, Alex showed us how to drink like a local, which involved aiming a stream of wine from a bottle held up from on high (see photo of the expert below). Along with the wine, we had tripe, sardines, bread with tomatoes, chips and vermouth. (I think I remembered everything.) Then we made it over to a bakery owned by a Syrian transplant to Barcelona, where we had our choice of yummy pastry. Next was a wonderful shop that sold local hams and cheeses, and we were able to taste a variety of each. (And I bought some vacuum-wrapped cheese to bring home -- it caused quite a "fragrance" in my luggage for the next 10 days, but hey, it's worth it.) Believe it or not, we then went on to have some paella and Alex insisted that we scrape the pan clean. Most of these stops included a glass or 2 of wine. And finally, dessert -- churros with chocolate sauce at a street stand. We were blessed not only with a wonderful guide, but with a really good group of participants. Whew, this was a really outstanding tour led by a fun and knowledgeable guide. Thanks Alexandra!

    I loved this tour
Valentina was amazing. I’m a big fan of food tours but the guide made this one even better. She shared so much history and then she took the time to email us recommendations for other food places to try while in the area. I wish I could take another tour with her. She was so great that I went ahead and signed up for a tour in Sevilla with the same company.

    Really, really great food tour
My wife and I have been on food tours in a number of cities (both in US and Europe) and this one was the best we've experienced. We toured with Mick and six other couples. There are only three stops so unlike other food tours, this felt more like a dinner party. Enjoyed the food at all of the stops and we returned to two of the restaurants again during our time in Barcelona. Highly recommend

Great Barcelona tapas and history tour.
What a great tour! Our guide, Dom, was wonderful. He’s incredibly knowledgeable about all things Barcelona. We had already taken a walking tour of Barcelona the previous day, and still learned so much from Dom that we hadn’t heard before. And his tapas and wine expertise were exceptional (and the food and drinks were so delicious!). We highly recommend!

    Barcelona food tour
We really enjoyed our Devour tour with Vera. She was very passionate about the foods of Barcelona, and how they relate to the history and culture of the city. We enjoyed the foods as well as the company of others. It was a great evening, and I highly recommend this food tour with Vera.

    Fun Food Tour of Gràcia
This was a great tour. With our guide Valentina. This was my second tour with Devour, and both have been excellent. First of all, it was nice to be in a true Catalan neighborhood a bit away from the Gothic Quarter and the other crowded tourist areas. There is no way I would have known to choose any of these places by myself and I would not have known what to order. Valentina was very energetic, friendly, and passionate about the neighborhood and the food. She did a particularly nice job of making us all feel welcome and comfortable with each other. I highly recommend this tour!

    Barcelona Tapas Tour!!
Our group of 6 did the Barcelona at Sunset: Tapas and Wine Tour on October 29, 2023 and it was fantastic! Hector our fabulous guide, took us to 3 wonderful places in Barcelona. We not only got to eat great food and drink great wine but we also got to stroll the El Born and Gothic neighborhoods as Hector pointed out the history and the things that make those neighborhoods so magical. We would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a fun night out to explore while in Barcelona!

Amazing! Barcelona was the first of three tours we signed up for with Devour over a month in Spain, and it really set the tone. Our guide Luke was funny, engaging, and his enthusiasm for the city was contagious. We were absolutely stuffed full of delicious food and loved trying so many that were unique to Barcelona.

Our Devour Tour with Alvaro really set the stage for a deep experience of Barcelona and its rich food and history. We learned a lot, walked a lot, and ate A LOT--but were eager to continue the explorations with all the great advice and background we acquired on this tour.
I'm a "go it on my own" traveller, but have discovered that small walking tours like Devour enhance the experience of a city many fold. In the case of this trip and this guide, I can honestly say the impressions will be long lasting.
Eager to find another opportunity to take a Devour Tour.

We had a great tour with Valentina! We had a group of about 10 people. We met at the Santa Catarina market and started our visit inside the market. We had some wonderful ham and cheese there. There were several other stops, and Valentina explained things well and dropped tidbits of other information along the way. We had plenty to eat, and actually, were too full to finish the paella we got at the end. This ended up being one of our favorite days on the trip, and we wish we could have taken the tour earlier. The tour wasn't offered on Saturday or Sunday (we got to BCN on Saturday), so we took the tour on Monday. I recommend taking the tour as soon as you can because you learn about the city, and you get great recommendations about food and where to eat while in Barcelona. We like to do food tours when we can, and I was quite pleased with this one. I felt it was worth the money spent.

We have booked food tours with Devour before and they have always been highly enjoyable and this was no exception. Our host Nika was enthusiastic, engaging and a passionate foodie and possessed a wealth of knowledge with regards to the many wine regions of Spain.

We got to try some great locally made bread, pastries and cava, excellent cheeses, delicious hams including the world famous iberico ham and to finish a lovely homemade paella.
The tour was an ideal size (8 people) and Nika afforded time to us all and at the end provided us some great tips of places to eat for which one of them, namely Bar Del Pla, we had the opportunity to visit the next day and can highly recommend for both its excellent food, choice of wines and great service.
If visiting Barcelona tours would highly recommend booking a food tour and look no further than Devour and if you are fortunate enough to get Nika as your host then you are going to definitely have a great time.

Average tour which took us to one market and a few stops in the Born and Barceloneta neighborhoods. Minimal food on offer and nothing that you couldn't find on your own - ham, cheese, croissant, some mini sandwiches and a few small bites of nougat candy. Oddly, the tour ended with an average taste of paella (which is not a specialty in Barcelona). The tour guide was nice but made us wait 10 minutes for two late arrivals and was difficult to hear because she didn't project her voice. Every place we went I think a tourist would have found during their own walks. We didn't go to any out of the way or not as well known places. Would not recommend Devour Tours.

Dear SDS769, Thanks for taking the time to write us a review. We are sorry the tour did not meet your expectations. Our Devour tours have been in the market for many years. We are happy and proud to say we are one of the best tour companies. The 5 stars reviews we have received throughout those years show how much we care for our guests. Again, we apologize if it was not a 5 stars for you this time. I could not find your booking with us. If you can please contact us directly at feedback@walks.org. We will be happy to assist you and understand with more details why this tour was not like you were expecting. Thanks. Kind regards, Jhonas.

Ferran, our guide for the day, was a dream! My wife and I were lucky in that we were the only two visitors on a slow Tuesday morning. Unlucky for him though as we were relentlessly peppering him with questions about, you guessed it, tastes and traditions of Barcelona.

In terms of the food & drinks aspect of the tour, do not expect to get the full value of what you paid for. If we were to go to each of the places Ferran took us to ourselves, it would definitely be cheaper. However, we would have missed out on so much of the deep and complex heritage of Barcelona (not to mention we wouldn't know where to go to begin with!)

Ferran, Barcelona born and bred, knows the city inside out. He was a veritable treasure trove of information, weaving a rich tapestry of the city from its ancient Roman beginnings all the way to the struggles of more recent times and what effect it had in shaping the Barcelona of today. A dream city for foodies, Ferran also gave us so many suggestions and tips on where to go and what to eat.

It was a 3.5 hour tour, but it continued to enrich our experience in the city long after ending!

11/10 would recommend!

Dear eyantravels, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We work very hard to provide our guests with the best level of service, and your comment assured us that all this hard work has not been in vain. The tour has 3+ delicious tastes at 7 iconic establishments in Barcelona's most historic neighborhoods, which is enough for breakfast & lunch. We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed the company of our guide. All our guides try their best to create a friendly atmosphere during the tour so that you can feel comfortable and free. We are always open to all of your questions and ready to help you plan your trip and give you suggestions for the next few days. Thank you for trusting us in letting you show Barcelona. We are happy that we opened new areas for you and that the guide made your trip unforgettable. We cannot wait for the time to see you again with us! Best, Sasha

Would highly recommend for any foodies, ideally to do near the start of the trip so there’s time to revisit your favourites! Our tour guide was great, there was a perfect level of history, particularly food history and also just general hints/tips to navigate the food markets and restaurants. The food was really varied and all delicious, and there were a few alcoholic drinks along the way too (with soft drinks alternatives for non-drinkers). It was a nice small group of 5, perfect for couples or solo travellers!

Hi there! Thanks for leaving the review! This tour is all about balance. Giving you enough history and food history that it is interesting but not overboard. Classic Catalan food and drink, while not leaving you bursting. We thoroughly agree with your point about taking the tour early in your stay. We hope you were able to revisit places, and put into practice what you learnt. Safe travels, and we hope to see you again!

Absolutely fabulous food tour! Alex was our guide and he was fantastic. He was entertaining, funny, and informative. We really had a fabulous time on this tour. The love for both the city of Barcelona and the cuisine of Catalonia was apparent from the carefully planned itinerary to the fabulous tastes we enjoyed. The paella was great. I loved the torron. My favorite might have been the bomba - a ham and mashed potato fried ball of yum! I also had vermouth for the first time on this tour and loved it. Yum!! Thanks to Alex for a fabulous time.

The Taste and Traditions tour is fantastic and Hannah is a terrific guide! She was enthusiastic, patient and knowledgable. The variety of food is exciting to taste- and delicious! Learning the history of the food and the Catalan people made it meaningful and educational. We tried to recreate the tour on our own the next day with our daughter, who is living in Barcelona. Will recommend the tour spots and Devour tours to anyone!

Valentina was a fantastic tour guide! She was extremely friendly, very knowledgable, and took us to some delicious places. We were a small group of 5 and the tour felt very private. Highly recommend this to solo travelers as a way to get a feel for Barcelona's food scene early on in your trip.
