Pere (Peter) was fantastic and he is everything one looks for in a guide. He is extremely knowledgeable and qualified and he customized the hiking based on my ability and preferences and the weather conditions. He was patient and helpful, and his mountaineering experience enables him to guide individuals at varying levels of experience. Our hike on Monday was about half without snowshoes and half wearing snowshoes (a first for me). The drive from Barcelona was about two hours each way, including time for a cup of coffee.
I highly recommend this tour if you are interested in getting out of Barcelona into some beautiful areas of the Pyrenees with a terrific guide.

Efficient communication and the pick up was on time. Our guide Pere is a rock climber and hiker so he was well aware of the area. There were three options for hiking - we took the 5 hour hike due to the weather. Suggest that you bring warm clothes because the temperature is much lower than in Barcelona and there is quite a bit of wind at the higher elevations. We were not as prepared as necessary but luckily Pere comes prepared and supplied us with slightly warmer jackets, gloves and walking sticks. The hike is challenging but Pere gauges your abilities and offer options so the hike can be as challenging as you wish. Highly recommend this trip if you want to get outside the city, are into hiking and want to see a beautiful part of Catalonia.

I was a bit hesitate to book as I am a young women traveling alone looking to hike in another country. I am so glad to of found Pere! He balanced the right amount of history/talking/jokes & allowed for personal reflection- internally it was a physically & mentally challenging hike- I would not of made it to the top if I was alone! He truly was a guide! I would say to look no further and go with Pere- a definite highlight of my trip!

Nothing like a good hike with splendid views and a motivating guide!

Pere was a great guide! He delivered a great balance between being high energy and informative and also giving a respectful distance to allow solitude and a personal experience. I was very impressed with how he took safety into consideration without being too pushy ie making sure we were dressed warm enough, reviewing weather and providing appropriate options and ensuring we had a great snack at the summit. Pere was very patient with my wife and I's many, many questions, he was happy to provide information about the environment, history and culture. Pere was on time, he was a great photographer and went out of his way to help us integrate with locals that we came across. Thanks again Pere!
