I booked a Sagrada Familia and Parc Guell tour through GYG.
On the morning of the tour it was very hard to find a taxi to get us to the meeting point even though we took a 40 min time buffer for a 10 min ride.
Seeing that, I wrote an e-mail to the agency notifying them that we might be a few minutes late and to tell me if they can wait or we have to rebook. No answear was given. At 9:27, 3 min before and in the taxi around the corner, I wrote again an e-mail saying that we will be there within 5 min. No answear.
At the meeting point after discussing to other tour guides we did not find our group. I called the agency at 9:39 to ask where is the group. I was announced that the guide entered the Sagrada Familia and it is not possible for them to reach him because he is closing his phone during the tour.
The receptionist started to explain that they cannot deal with every ocurring situation and that I have lost the tour and the money. It seemed very dismissive.
I then insisted that we at least get the Parc Guell tour and she accepted. Somehow, she could reach the guide to let him know that we would join the group at the end...
The second part of the tour was delivered nicely by Marc, but it looks like the company's attitude towards our situation was unprofessional even though diplomatic.
It seems that the Amigos Tours usually dismisses the clients and I believe that more could have been done to come to a resolution. For example, I proposed to join the tour in one of the next 6 days and was told that they are fully booked. I checked their calendar through GetYourGuide and I found availability.

Dear Amig@
We appreciate your comments and regret that you missed half of the tour. It is true that we start the tours on time out of respect for the clients who are on time and that it is impossible to catch up with the tour, but this would require distracting the guide from his work inside the premises. We hope to be able to serve you again on your next trip and you can see that we are very committed to quality service.

Poor communication and information from Amigo tours. Rude unhelpful staff. The tour itself was fine but I won't be booking with Amigo again thanks to the poor service.
We booked a guided tour of Sagrada Familia and Park Guell (without transport). We knew we would have to make our own way to Park Guell since our package did not include transport, however the information in our booking details only gave a meeting point and time for the first part of the tour which was Sagrada Familia. We thought this would be fine as we could just ask the tour guide for this information once we got their.
At the end of the Sagrada Familia tour we asked our guide Svetlana where and when we needed to meet at Park Guell so we could get there. She said she didn't know and that we needed to look at the booking information. We told her the information was not provided. She then gave our details to someone at the Amigo office and told us they would contact us to let us know.
We waited for a while but didn't receive any message so called the office ourselves as we were worried about missing the second part of the tour. The man on the phone told us there would be a taxi to pick us up at 11.30 and gave us the meeting point for the taxi. I asked him if he was sure this was correct since our package didn't include transport but he said yes and told us to go to the meeting point. We would have liked to spend more time at Sagrada Familia but didn't want to miss the second part of the tour so rushed to make the 11.30 meeting with the taxi.
We waited until at least 11.45 at the taxi meeting spot with no taxi arriving so called the office again and were told not to worry, the taxi was coming soon. After waiting a while longer we saw the guide, Svetlana arrive so went to talk to her. She seemed frustrated with us saying that we had to make our own way their since our ticket didn't include transport. We told her we were aware of this but had called the office and were simply following the instructions they had given us. She told us to hail our own taxi and ask it to follow her taxi so we tried doing this but the taxi driver didn't understand so we went back to Svetlana who was increasingly impatient with us, asking why we hadn't hailed our own taxi. We explained and asked if she could tell us the meeting point for Park Guell so we could instruct the taxi. She told us that it's very difficult to find the meeting point so she couldn't do this. She was rude and unhelpful but ultimately did hail a taxi for us and explain in Spanish for them to follow her taxi.
We got there in the end and the tour itself was fine but we were incredibly unimpressed with the way we were treated. We later checked the reviews and found many others have had similar experiences. It is clear that Amigo tours doesn't care what your experience is like once you have already booked and paid for your tickets. At the second point we even heard Svetlana say that she hoped the whole group wouldn't turn up. Disappointing experience, stay away from Amigo Tours.

In this case I only did guided Park GĂĽell.
The guide was Silvia excellent! Although we had booked a tour in Spanish and she gave us a bilingual one (a scam of the walking tours from Civitatis that allows it), the truth is that she maintained the perfect balance between the time she dedicated to one language and the other, which He clarified because on other tours that I did with it was not like that, hence one pays tour in Spanish.
In summary, I highlight Silvia's work in making us discover Park GĂĽell with all its historical and architectural framework.

Amigo tours overbooked us and others on this tour after canceling an am tour (they said the cathedral was closed in am when in fact it was not) the day before and then rebooking everyone in the pm for a morning tour and overbooking the afternoon tour. Some were not rebooked at all and were leaving that day and never got their tour. Amigo left the tour guides, who do not work for them, to deal with the situation. The guides ended up negotiating with the cathedral to let all participants in, Amigo told them to have some people wait for next tour
Also the tour is advertised as 5.5 hours when in reality it was about 3 hours and two hours of waiting. Needless to say Amigo failed us and others in multiple ways on this trip. They sent us a cancellation to our what’s app when all prior communication was via email, so we initially missed it and had to call to get everything straightened out for rebooking. After doing this, they still didn’t recognize us for second tour…..

It was a terrible experience we had with Amigo Tours in Barcelona. If I could, I would give them -5 stars, but I am forced to put only one to write this review. We had a Guide called Silvia in Park Guell and ended up abandoning the tour because we spent too much time in the same place. Silvia repeated the same information over and over again, which caused us to waste our precious time.
In addition, for the next tour at La Sagrada Familia, we arrived 10 minutes late and the guard supervisor informed us that Silvia had refused to allow us in. When we contacted Amigo Tours looking for a solution, we were denied any options, not even offered the possibility to reschedule the tour for another day.
I work with public service and Amigo Tours should NOT offer tours to tourists. The level of customer service they provide is unacceptable.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL!

What happened to Charlotte in the previous review is EXACTLY what happened to me. Even down to asking the tour guide where the meeting point at Parc Guell was and her being quite short and unhelpful. It literally was like she was punishing me for not having paid extra for the transport.
I had to ring the provider which obviously cost me in foreign charges and, having walked to Parc Guell myself, it turned out I was at the wrong entrance and only had 15 minutes to rush to the correct meeting point.
The Sagrada tour was OK but felt quite rushed and I found it quite difficult to understand the guide.
The Parc Guell tour (once I got there!) was fine as well but certainly not worth the extortionate cost.
I contacted Amigo Tours to complain and request a partial refund and all I got in response was
'Unfortunately we are unable to proceed with the refund, as the tour operated normally and without any problems.
We will send you the detailed meeting point by email, with or without transportation booking.'
I then contacted GetYourGuide who I booked through and they said they had the same response from the provider but as a goodwill gesture they (GYG not Amigo) offered a partial refund.
AVOID AMIGO they are rude, unhelpful and do not care about the customer at all!

Dear SophieS,
We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your recent tour with us. We understand your frustration regarding the difficulty in finding the meeting point at Parc Guell and the subsequent stress it caused. However, we are unable to identify the specific comment you referenced regarding Charlotte.
Nevertheless, we deeply regret any negative experiences you encountered. Please note that the meeting point information is provided in the vouchers sent at the time of confirmation. We will certainly review the communication process with our commercial and reservations department to ensure clarity for future visitors.
Our guides are trained to provide comprehensive information about the tour, including meeting points and other relevant details. We sincerely apologize if this was not adequately conveyed during your experience.
Furthermore, we would like to clarify that we are not a company that seeks to extort anyone. We cannot agree with such a characterization, as our services are priced based on market research, the resources invested, and the quality of service we aim to provide.
We appreciate your feedback and will strive to improve our services.
Best Regards from Amigo Tours.

While we were already in Barcelona, less than 24 hours before our tour, we got a notification that our tour had been significantly changed. We were supposed to get transportation from Sagrada Familia to Park Guell and have both tours together. However, the transportation was removed and our Park Guell tour was moved several hours later than planned. We had no choice but to accept this change as there were no more tickets available for Park Guell to purchase on our own before we were leaving Barcelona.
We had other tours planned for that day and so we had to rush to get to Park Guell, running to make it in time. We were only a few minutes late, however we missed the group and were denied entry to the park.
We made these tour plans months in advance and one day’s notice of a complete change is unacceptable. Customer service did not care at all when we contacted them over the phone, and didn’t even reply to our email. A terrible trip experience.

Scammed by this agency as I had booked a park guell tour in Barcelona via the all inclusive pass purchased with Go City. Later I cancel the pass because it did not allow me to book the entrance to the Sagrada Familia, I ask the operator if canceling the pass automatically cancels the reservation at the park guell, I am told yes. The day before the park guell tour, I take part in the Sagrada Familia guided tour with Amigo Tours (I also buy access to the towers) and before the visit starts I receive an email from Amigo tours reminding me of my reservation at the park guell! At this point I turn to the guides and explain everything saying I want to cancel, I am told that they will take care of it.... moral of the story? I was deducted from my card the full cost of the guided tour that I never did. Congratulations... never again with Amigo Tours

We accessed Park GĂĽell with Amigos Tours via Go City tickets. We were sceptical as it was a time-specific walking tour, and we'd read some negative feedback on Trip Advisor.
This tour was one of the highlights of my family's trip to Barcelona. The tour guide was terrific; he was so knowledgeable and a lovely person. I would recommend this tour to everybody, you really won't be disappointed.
