Costa Brava tour with BARCELONA HOLIDAYS with tour guide Monica

We have done 3 tours with Barcelona Holidays, last year in August 2014 we went on a day tour to the Costa Brava with Monica to Estortit and costal towns and beaches that also included a 1 1/2 hour cruise. It was a full day and there was a lot of walking with amazing scenery. The tour was from 8.30 - 8.30 at the cost of 82 euros. This tour was exceptional value. I have had trouble finding the BARCELONA HOLIDAY site to review on tripadvisor. Hence my late review.

This year July 2015 we went on another full day tour ( 8 hours 55 euros) to the Costa Brava. Tossa Del Mar was the high light of this tour which also included a cruise on this most beautiful coast.
We were very pleased to have Monica again as our guide. She is an excellent guide, very informative and has very good people skills. There is no wasted time on her tours, you get exceptional value for money. These tours to the Costa Brava with Monica have been some of the best value tours we have done on our many trips to Europe.You don't get taken to tourist shops to waste time buying trinkets etc. Yet you are give ample to do so if you want in,the free time given during the day.
We highly recommend BARCELONA HOLIDAY tours (you book tours at the tourist information centre)
Hopefully, we can find another day tour with this company next year.

I recommend going on a daily trip at least. My friend and I took the daily trip guided tour and honestly it was a well organized trip. Costa Brava is one of my fav spots on that tour and our guide took us on a walk that we could not have done on our own.

A most enjoyable tour and good value for money

Thoroughly enjoyed our full day tour of the Costa Brava, which included visits to four villages, including the medieval village of Pals, a sail round the Medes Islands in a glass-bottomed boat and a tour of the Graeco-Roman remains at Empuries. Monica was an excellent guide; she and her colleague were very friendly and helpful and the tour was very well-organised. If there was a fault, it was that there was not a lot of time for lunch. Very good value for money and would recommend this to other visitors to Barcelona.

Excellent tour
This is an excellent full day tour of the Costa Brava plus a stop at a Medieval village dating from the 12th century. The tour is both informative and fully packed. A tour of the Greek and Roman ruins of Empurres was extremely informative and would be of interest to any student of history. A particular shout out of Jorge, our guide, who not only provided excellent commentary but spent time one on one with each member of our tour group. Again, and excellent introduction to the beautiful Costa Brava!

a great day

we did this tour on 1st june and the weather was really nice.
visiting quaint sea side villages with crystal clear water of Calella Palafrugel, then walking around the coast line to Llafranc, an almost perfect scene as you came around the hillside. then on the bus to the medieval town of Pals, a very interesting town. A little disappointed not to be able to stop at the local businesses to support them.
onto L'Estartit for lunch, followed by a boat trip around the Medes islands, beautiful, finally to Empuries and the greek and roman ruins.
A really great day, big thanks to Monica our guide

Terrific day in Costa Brava

Excellent day tour - it was a terrific way to see a variety of Costa Brava sights all in a single day which we would have been hard pressed to do in our own. The weather was perfect that day and our guide, Jorge, was quite informative as well as being fun and upbeat. Wonderful short hike on the coast between villages to start the day with ample photo opportunities and I especially enjoyed the Greek and Roman ruins at Emporia at the end of the day. All in all, well worth it.

Great day out of Barcelona

This was a fantastic tour of Costa Brava . A day of contrasting sites with very friendly tour guides coast line on a large coach that was full. Highlights were visit to coastal beaches, visit to Medieval city, tour of boat that had glass view6ing of sea bed and visit to ancient Greek and Roman ruins. Tour guides were very friendly, informative. Pace of the tour was good as it did not feel rushed. Tour siited more for people who want to sight see rather than doing adventure activities such as kayaking,diving or snockling.Overal we had a wonderful day out. Highly recommend this tour.

GREAT WAY TO SEE COSTA BRAVA

We had a brilliant day exploring Costa Brava with this tour. The boat ride was dreamy and the views werw spectacular. Monica was extremely helpful and kind and made the day very enjoyable. Highly recommend!!!

Amazing Experience!!!!
This was an Amazing experience!!! Loved everything about it! All 3 Stops were breathtaking. Our tour guide LUIS was GREAT - he was very knowledgeable, friendly, patient, respectful and charismatic - I can’t say enough. Thanks Luis 😊 Muchísimas Gracias!!!! And the best part was that when we arrived at our last stop to have lunch - Luis made sure that our table at the restaurant was ready for us and this was ocean side view. The staff at the restaurant was courteous, friendly and fast. Luis made sure that our meals came out before anyone else’s - amazing experience. The food was DELICIOUS and FRESH!!! Once again - Thank you Luis! You’re the BEST!!!!! 😊
