This is the most beautiful cathedral we visited in Spain. Definitely make this a stop while visiting Segovia. The architecture, stone work and art are beautiful. Take your time and enjoy the surroundings.

A highlight of Segovia and one of Spain’s true treasures. The cathedral is awe-inspiring, both inside and out. We purchased our tickets online in advance to avoid any lines. Happily, there was no line when we arrived, so we were able to walk right in. Allow an hour to walk around and explore the inside, as there are many small chapels and works of art to see.

We paid for the tour but unfortunately there was no English audio guide to use during the tour. Otherwise, a stunningly beautiful cathedral both inside and out. Gorgeous at night from the Plaza Mayor when it is lit up.

During our two weeks Spain tour we've visited some 7-8 Cathedrals and many smaller Churches. This one in Segovia counts into most beautiful ones along with Salamanca, Cordoba's Mezquita and Seville Cathedral. The Segovia Cathedral was built during the 16c and it dominates this rather small town. At some time it had the tallest bell tower in Spain you can climb for great views around. Apart from that amazingly decorated altar, choir, many stained glass,.....

Incredible cathedral. My first impression from the outside was that it was a castle! I've never seen a cathedral with so many individual, customized crypts and prayer areas/chapels. Each one was so different and unique. The care and money that has been put into keeping this cathedral beautiful is probably staggering - but is apparent in so many ways. Even got to see some of that in action. Also, be sure to check out the art gallery downstairs as well. Amazing.

Beautiful cathedral with a variety of things to see, including the cloister, museum, & tower (although I preferred the view of the cathedral from the Alcazar tower, then vice versa.) We were there in early June in the afternoon and there was no line - the cathedral was practically empty.

We went at 6pm so it was very quiet. No queue. It’s a beautiful place with amazing history. We also went to the Bishops Palace down the road on the same ticket.well worth it too!

We booked the tour of the tower, unfortunately it poured with rain so we followed the instructions to the meeting point that according to the map was at the back of the cathedral. - it’s not! Anyway got in and were given the audio guides and advised to wait for the guide. We waited no one came so I asked and the guide and the other 4 participants had commenced the tour. I am unsure if you are aware as a guide of let’s face it a small group you wouldn’t make sure you had all participants before you commenced your tour. The tower itself and the audio guide was well presented and worth the €8. The guide must have had some sort of block with us as she completely blanked us for the whole of the tour. So in short it is worth doing maybe we had a dodgy guide. Don’t let my experience put you off.

We arrived at the Cathedral around 10.20am and were offered spots on the Tower Tour. Sure! For 7 euros and 187 steps we did one of the best value tours of our trip to Spain. There was an excellent audioguide in our language and a charming tour guide who directed us and did her best to answer questions in English. She also recommended a great restaurant for us to enjoy Cochinillo for lunch later. We saw a great audiovisual about the history of the Cathedral on one level, then visited the Bellringer's house on the next level. Fascinating to see how the Bellringer's family lived. Then the last stop was the bells, with fantastic views across the countryside and to the Alcazar. After the tower tour we wandered around the Cathedral and enjoyed the gothic magnificence. The tickets also gave us entry to the Bishops residence which was an interesting bonus, in a beautiful building. A great tour in a beautiful town, and not as busy or touristy as Toledo.

We enjoyed our visit to the city of Segovia. The Cathedral was one of three sites we came to see and it did not disappoint. We were amazed to see the 22 chapels and the stunning main altar. We also visited the Bishops Palace which is worth the visit if you have time.

The Cathedral of Segovia was built in the Gothic Flamboyant style between 1525 and 1577, and was dedicated in 1768, constituting one of the last Gothic cathedrals in Europe. It is part of the UNESCO heritage site "Old Town of Segovia and its Aqueduct". Following additions are of Renaissance, Baroque and Neoclassic styles. It is a huge church (it covers an area of 14025 square meters, or over 150 000 square foot), with a main altar, a choir, 22 chapels, a cloister, three halls, 256 funerary heritage spaces, 161 stained glass windows, 167 spires). Several wonderful art pieces can be seen in the cathedral, and there is a unique entrance ticket for the Cathedral and the Bishops' Palace.

The massive Gothic Segovia cathedral was built in the 1500s. The current stone spire crowning the tower dates back to 1614.

Have been here many times and I love it. It’s well preserved and a fairy tale in itself. The views and the drama of its size and perch. Don’t miss it

This magnificent edifice well worth your time to visit. Lots of beautiful artwork inside this last great Gothic cathedral built in Spain. Truly historic and awesome. Don’t forget the cloisters as well.

We had a great visit, we chose the tower tour and didn’t regret it. The guide, Toni, was really kind and knowledgeable he told us loads of the history and was able to answer all questions. The cathedral is included in the tower visit. The views are great and you also get some information about the history of the cathedral.
