          Beautiful trip into the countryside
Communication before the trip was easy & the organiser responded quickly. They were helpful with any questions. They picked me up at my hotel on time & I had a great day. First we went to the monastery which also had a beautiful lookout with views down both sides of the valley. The Picos were snowy, freezing & beautiful! Poets was lovely - beautiful medieval town with stunning unspoilt architecture & lots of places to enjoy the views. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, professional & super helpful. Had a fantastic day & would highly recommend!

          The charms of Comillas
A very interesting and informative personal half day tour by Gabriela. The restoration of the old seminary is very impressive.

          Fascinating
It was really fun overall. The guide was attentive and explained everything. We got to see so many things. Due to the windy conditions we couldn’t go on the teleférico so we went to visit a different village near Potes! Would recommend to anyone!!

Amazing, caring and considerate- brilliant day out
There are zoos and then there are zoos, this one is right up there, both in terms of animal care and visitor satisfaction. Absolutely amazing, totally undersold and very much a hidden gem. E were initially put off the place by the visitor information centre in Santander, far from encouraging visitors to the site, they actually tried very hard to put you off it. Glad to say we decided to go, and so glad we did. Yes, ideally you need a car as the hill you need to walk up at the start is enough to bring on angina but once you are at the top, it’s like being on the Swiss alps, breath taking! The views from the cable cars are something else and to see the animals below you without interrupting them, well, it’s something else. The whole place is a credit to those who run it and look after it could not speak highly enough, without doubt the best Zoo/safari/ nature reserve I’ve visited. Will definitely return, would love to see it in the winter. Congratulations to all whom play a part in making this possible

Enjoyable trip: fantastic scenery, loads of animals to see in natural settings. Our driver/guide Rafa was excellent. Friendly, funny, knowledgeable - he made the trip a special occasion and is a credit to the company.

A rather sad experience with happy ending
We booked a half day trip to Comillas and Gaudi’s Caprice which, by the way, are wonderful sites. The tour was supposed to be in English and Spanish, yet we were in for an unpleasant surprise: all the other tourists, except for us, were Spanish speakers. The first stop was the famous Seminari - the guide that welcomed us there spoke only Spanish so that we could not understand the information provided. Luckily, for the tour of Gaudi’s Caprice we had an excellent, well documente guide, speaking really good English. Thank you, Mario, for this wonderful presentation of Gaudi.

          Very Disappointed…
Very Disappointed… We purchased tickets for this tour, a week in advance, primarily to take us to the Teleferico de Fuente De cable-car in the Picos de Europa. We received an email nineteen hours before our departure informing us that ‘we regret to inform you that this week the cable car service is suspended due to a breakdown’. This notification was inside the full refund 24-hour cancellation policy. The email did not mention an opportunity to cancel for a full refund. To add to our disappointment, the guide informed us on the day of our tour that the cable-car had not been in operation for the past two weeks! While the tour operator does not operate the cable-car, they do include it in their advertising and considering the cable-car had not been in operation for two weeks, they had sufficient time to either update its website and/or inform clients of the cable-car breakdown at the time of booking. Some time in the village of Mogrovejo was added to the tour as a time filler. Lovely village, but not what we really wanted to do on this tour. Based on the above, I would never tour with this operator again, nor would I recommend them for any tours. Their business model of informing clients of major changes after the cancellation period has passed is unacceptable and they are taking money under false advertising practices.

Great driver lets you enjoy nature and history
Great to have a driver (Mercedes) skilled, familiar & confident on mountain roads through a beautiful area. She gave brief explanations, directed us to time and place of meetingpoints, & answered questions cheerfully, otherwise left us to explore independently. Enjoyed immensely!

          Best day of our holiday.
Best day out of our holiday. Never seen so many animals close up before. Do not miss. Recommend taking a hire car and a packed lunch as there are loads of lovely picnic spots. There are also restaurants on site but we didn't test them out. Highlight was the bears but also the elephants and tigers were pretty amazing.

Not far away from Santander, Santillana del Mar and the Altamira Cave are two tourist spots worth visiting. We booked a half day trip there and we really had a great time. Thanks to our English guide Jairo!

The museum contains a replica of a painted Neolithic cave. The real cave is nearby and not open to visitors. It is awe inspiring to look at the drawings from so long ago.

Our guide Mercedes was very informative and polite, picking everyone up from their hotels and explains in both English and Spanish! The town of Santillana del Mar is really pretty set in a lush location - it has a museum of torture which is fascinating! The Altamira museum is an excellent remake of the actual caves and is very interactive - the shop is a little expensive but full of interesting looking books, shame I can't read Spanish though. Well worth doing this tour as it takes the hassle out of trying to get to these places.

A really well presented tour of the famous replica cave with great audio tour and descriptions well worth the visit. We arrived late in the afternoon and there was no queue a huge bonus and everything was easy to navigate and even managed to download the app to assist with the tour with excellent level of information to keep me transfixed for the whole tour.

The replica of the cave is excellent, it seems to be in the original cave that only 5 people per week can visit to preserve it.

Excellent excursion, as if you were with a friend from Cantabria. The appropriate number of people since in this way the explanations of Rafael, our guide, could be very close. Everything well organized. At first I had my doubts about the Altamira neocave but they were quickly dispelled when Rafael was providing you with information. Well prepared and documented guide. The excursion responds exactly to everything it says on the page and is one hundred percent recommended.

A total disappointment... a practically uninhabited village, full only of restaurants, bars and souvenir shops!
The village itself is cute... Twenty years ago it was probably a wedding favor, today I consider it a TOURIST, to be avoided!
This excessive and uncontrolled exploitation of tourism is destroying the identity and authenticity of beautiful places.
The height of my disgust is the selfie tower in front of the cathedral... I would have weighed it with a pickaxe!
