We checked the website before we went to Santander and learned that the bus only operates on Friday, Saturday or on Sundays. Our cruise arrived on Monday, so we were not expecting it to be running. However, we could see a Red Bus near the dock, so we did a 'live chat' on line to see if the bus was actually completing the route. The live chat, said 'No', it's not running today. We then found out that it was. So, please update your website and your on line chat function!

Took the bus yesterday with friends an are totally disappointed. Wait times over 30 minutes while the driver waits for passengers and sells tickets on the sidewalk. DO NOT recommend, period. Better take public bus. All public buses pass in front of Cathedral, are quick and inexpensive. DO NOT take the red bus!!!!!!

the beaches are superb , all cuisines catered for , a thriving , vibrant city , lots of historical buildings to pass the time .

This service could be better. It arrived on time but against a very minimal timetable which we got from the tourist information office: its not a regular service as indicated on their website. There is no way we would have used this as a hop on-hop off service with such a minimal number of runs. We fully acknowledged when we got on board that it was a one way service to see around us. It was 30 plus degrees and the bus sat at numerous stops for lengthy periods, this was obviously an organisational/planning problem. We enjoyed it generally, be aware of what you are getting so as not to be disappointed. It fell short of some of the better city sightseeing trips we've had: management should listen to the feedback as how they are planning this seems to be a recurring issue.

We had a morning free in Santander so decided to take the tour bus. We waited for a bus at stop 1, arriving about 1125, with the bus due at 1145. Nothing happened for about 30 minutes, until a representative arrived and said the bus was due at 1230, 45 minutes after the published time. The bus then didn't arrive until 1245, and then once on board drove to the next stop (100m down the road) and stopped for 10 minutes. By this time we were worrying about catching our afternoon train so decided to abandon the bus tour. When I contacted customer services about this, I was told that a bus left the stop where I was waiting at 1138. Which is a total lie, and I can prove I was there waiting, as I have GPS from my phone and a photo with a timestamp. A real shame as I have used their tours elsewhere and found them very good

We had the afternoon in Santander and wanted to use the hop on hop off bus as we'd enjoyed such trips in other parts of the world. We read up on their web-site that we could pick up the bus from Estacion maritimo so we walked there, sat down positive we were in the right place as there was a plackard nr our seat - get tickets here, used the app (useless) to see the bus would be there in half an hour after 40 mins saw the bus the other side of the road across around 6 lanes of traffic on the main drag and another road so wasted our afternoon thank you

The people are very welcoming , city it’s located on a sea side , I was there when the carnival was very interesting to see how they celebrate !

The tour route is nice, but the organisation is terrible. We spent lots of time waiting at stops while staff chatted and the bus didn’t stick to advertised route. I’d recommend you stick to using local bus service and walking.

Instead of 10.00 h as announced, we left around 11.00 h. At the stops themselves there were no nice photo motives. And where there were nice things to see or to take pictures, the bus did not stop. At one stop the bus waited about 20 minutes in the blazing sun. The 24 hour ticket is questionable if the tour only takes place between 11.00 h and 19.00 h.

It was a very relaxing, interesting and informative trip. We used the wheelchair and that was no problem very curteous and polite. The trip consisted of most of the sites you would see if you hired a taxi or went with a cruise group. It covered the Cathedral,Centro Botin..exhibition Centre,Museums and festivals centresLLamas Park. also the ticket covered you for the boat trip but do ask where and when you get the bus for that. I believe it was at the same stop from midday

Yesterday my friends and I did a guided tour through Santander and all was very pleasant,the instructions of one of the employees, i believe her name was Ana, were clear and she was surprisingly polite and agreeable, the tour in the bus was nice and comfortable, in general it was a good experience.

On a cruise to Santander recently we decided not to book a port excursion but to go it alone. As the ship docks in Santander itself walking to the centre is not a problem. We disembarked and walked out of the port and along the pavement. We were soon stopped by a lovely young lady trying to sell us tickets for a sightseeing tour of the city. I asked how much each, what do we get for our money and how long is the tour. The response was 25 euros each Open top bus tour of city 1 hour boat ride round coast 4.5 hours Well as you can imagine we jumped at the offer. What a wonderful experience it was too. They took us all round the city and showed us the golf course where Seve Ballesteros practised his golf. The bus ride was a hop on hop off with 10 stops and the buses running every 40 minutes. Therefore you could get off take photos check out the immediate area and then grab the next bus coming. We were then dropped off along the sea front where we relaxed for 20 minutes or so before the boat arrived. We managed to get on the open top deck and had great seats. The boat took us round the coast to see the Royal Family's summer palace, the beautiful sandy beaches, the casino etc. I would recommend this to anyone who has a few hours to spare.

This is a beautiful city, made even more beautiful with its amazing shore line. It is very easy to get around by an excellent bus service.

What a great city to explore! Easy access from the airport by bus or taxi. City buses are very efficient and easy to use to get around. Plenty to do for all ages as there are great parks for the little ones, superb beaches, shops museums, architecture and restaurants galore. Definitely worth a visit for any age group.

Travelled to Santander On Brittany Ferries Pont-Aven for 2 night stay in Santander.Booked through Brittany Ferries who were brilliant and helpful.Great cabin there and back with good food and great entertainment on board.Stayed at Hotel Abba in the centre of Santander.Really nice and clean,good breakfast and helpful staff.Went on the Red Sightseeing Bus.24 hr ticked can be bought.Pop on pop off any where you want.Got to see some fantastic beaches.Lady selling tickets Lucia really helpful and spoke good English.Eat mainly in Cafe Gloria just behind Cathederal.Good food and not too expensive.Santander is a great place to visit.
