Booked the full day in Tenerife cruise excursion on tripspoint which I think maybe a little less than via tour pricing. It was quite affordable compared to the cruise ship excursion offerings, plus my husband and I had the tour guide all to ourselves instead of dealing with buses and coaches and lots of people. Gregory was very knowledgeable with perfect English and actually speaks several languages. He had deep knowledge of cultural, geological, historical, and many other aspects of the Canaries. He was very enjoyable. He listened attentively to what we wanted to see, and what we wanted to avoid, and took us on a very amazing tour of almost the entire island. He had car trouble that morning and had to go rent a car, but was still on time to pick us up and seem pretty relaxed about the whole situation that that must’ve been stressful. He’s very patient and laid-back. The communication while booking right up until pick up time was excellent You cannot go wrong, looking with Gregory on trips point for your Tenerife shore excursion.

This is our 2nd tour with Tenerife Host (Gregory- Owner/Operator). The 1st was in 2019. When my brother and I booked a cruise to return to Tenerife this November, we immediately contacted Gregory. We were a party of 5 who wanted to see architecture, street murals, and island sights. A 6-hour tour turned into 8 (no extra cost) after 1 of the group wanted to see the Tenerife Air Disaster memorial, which he gladly accommodated. You absolutely cannot go wrong with Gregory. He goes above and beyond in service and in hospitality. All of these 5 star reviews he gets are earned.

We (2 adults and 2 children) booked the 8 hour Tenerife Magic Circle Private Tour online and Gregory called us to confirm within 5 minutes. On the day, he picked us up on time and started the tour around the island. Gregory is very kind, patient, down to earth, respectful and extremely knowledgeable. It was great listening to his stories of the island whilst showing us around. Tenerife is a fantastic island with so many things to see and do. We enjoyed Gregory’s company so much that we booked a separate 5 hour tour with him to see Mount Teide at sunset - this is a must do! If you’re short on time and want to see all of Tenerife book these two tours - you won’t be disappointed. Tenerife Host is a great company and Gregory is a joy to be around and we would recommend him to everyone! Gregory, thank you for safely showing us around the island.

Gregory took me and my mother on a private tour that was amazing. Not only does Gregory know everything there is to know where he takes you, he knows all the good sweet spots. Going on a tour with Gregory was like going with a good old friend. I can not vouch enough for how good, professional and friendly he is! You will not feel any rush or stress going with him, you will have the chance to take pictures of views you most probably never thought existed on the island. I was not asked to leave a review, infact, I have never ever left a review for something prior to this - this is how big of a impact he had on both me and my mother. All the other reviews speak for themselfs, this is just amazing service at a price nobody, and i mean really nobody can beat on the island. Gregory took us around the island of Tenerife for 3 days. He was always on time, very kind, respectful, down to earth and knowledgeable. He is very easy to talk to and we felt very safe with him. He knew a lot about the island and shared with us interesting stories which we really appreciated. He knew the best places to eat while we were exploring the island and always asked our group if we needed a snack or bathroom break. He introduced us to barraquitos- the traditional Canarian coffee drink, which was amazing. He also took us to a beautiful beachfront restaurant where we enjoyed fresh seafood and watched the local surfers catch some waves. On the last day, he took us to a volcanic vineyard on the way back from Mount Teide which offered one of the best wines we’ve ever had and the most delicious Canarian traditional meal. We felt very at home with Gregory and the people he’s introduced us to. He always made sure we were comfortable and provided us with bottles of water daily. He also suggested quick, yet breathtaking hikes throughout the trip and took incredible photos of our group. He always greeted us with a smile. We loved having him around and made our first time in Tenerife memorable. We would recommend him to anyone exploring the gorgeous island of Tenerife.

We hired Gregory of Tenerife Host as our guide/driver in the Toyota car hired by him. We are a family from the Netherlands travelling with a toddler. We wanted to see the main highlights of the Island of Tenerife in one day. We did not want to hire our own car as we wanted to spent our time caring for our toddler in combination with enjoying the beautiful Tenerife. We thoroughly enjoyed the amazing day. On a beach during one of the stops our toddler was digging for pirate treasure and proudly posed for an anchor for which she stated it must have belonged to a pirate ship. We had so much more fun than we would have had with a big bus tour group which is not convenient when travelling with a toddler. Note there are also trips of less hours a day available if you think the Grand Tour of 12 to 14 hours is too long for you. Gregory drove safely while enthousiastically telling us interesting stories about Tenerife. He was open and frankly fun to spent the day with us in his easy-going and respective manner. We saw all the places in the itinerary and a lot more. Also we had a lovely lunch in a local restaurant with a relaxing garden (lovely for the little one to run around in) where we saw a local wedding party and ate local fish. Beautiful sunset right from a beach and then onto the mountain top. We have a feeling that we had a good view of beautiful Tenerife and highly recommend Gregory as a Guide/Driver. Also the value for money is great. Really worth it. Echte aanrader!

My husband and I felt like we got to see virtually every corner of Tenerife with our great guide/driver/translator/companion, Gregory! It was a truly incredible way to see all the key places and learn so much about the island while enjoying the ride in a comfortable and clean vehicle. He is truly passionate about the island and is incredibly knowledgeable. From the time in Mount Teide National Park, seeing some of the oldest and most unique trees (Canarian Pine and Dragon trees), to take some short and enjoyable hikes through Anaga and other small villages, and stopping just the right amount for breaks and food/drink, it was a priceless experience! Plus, he even took amazing photos of us throughout the day in all the different beautiful surroundings. It was a jam-packed fun-filled day and a great way to get to see lots of key places on the beautiful island!

Gregory was an excellent guide. We had a great day touring Teide and the towns surrounding it. We ended our day with a wine tasting of historic Malmsey wine and a visit to the Dragon tree. We really appreciated the professionalism, kindness and knowledge of the island Gregory shared with us. This was a memorable day.

Our guide Gregory picked us up from hotel promptly and gave us a brief description of the tour and history of the island. He was very knowledgeable about the island, history and amazing general knowledge. The car was a very comfortable Mercedes and he made us feel like VIP’s. The trip took us up the East coast to Candelaria, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and further viewing points on to the North east peninsula of Anaya. This area is quiet and unspoilt where we had several photo opportunities and short breaks before moving on to the rugged coastline and village of Benjo where we stopped for lunch at a small fish restaurant overlooking the sea. We were offered plenty of time at all the stopping points and felt that the time was ‘ours’ The afternoon was a trip through the mountains and laurel jungle with more marvellous photo opportunities which Gregory took many of us on our camera. We had a short walk in the controlled area of the jungle before retuning back to our hotel in the south. This was a very enjoyable experience with a friendly driver / guide, throughly recommended if you want a personal tour over the island.

4 of us went booked a private tour with Greg. He couldn't have done more for us & although 2 of us had been several times before, showed us some incredible places that we didn't know existed. Originally from the Ukraine he probably knows more about Tenerife than the locals & answered all our questions with great knowledge & enthusiasm. He finally dropped us at the airport saying he wished he had time to show us more! If you want to really see the island, definitely book with him.

What can we say about this guy and the tour we had with him? In one word... AMAZING. Super professional, and kind especially when our son became poorly on the tour. Nothing was too much for Gregory. We had a luxurious drive from PDLA to loro parque then onto mt tiede. We have been to Mt Tiede many times before but with larger bus tour companies and we experienced a completely different experience this time. We saw the other side of the Volcano and its history. The entire day was phenomenal. We were collected from our hotel at 8am and were back by 10pm. Gregory was keen that we saw more of the surrounding areas and we would have been there till the early hours if we could have! So if you want to explore and enjoy tour day trips around Tenerife, Gregory is the man for you!

Our driver/host Gregory was very punctual, knowledgeable and courteous. We did a fantasic tour of the Pyramids of Guimar and town of Candlaria followed by his suggestion of a drive to viewpoints in the Anaga mountains and a visit to the real Tenerife jungle. Truly our best day out in Tenerife! We would thoroughly recommend this Company for tours. Thank you for a memorable day!

HOME RUN TOUR. Gregory is a 1 man operation that charges a little more than some for a private tour, but his private tour is worth every penny. You get what you pay for. Most tour buses- especially ship tours- make 2 stops on a tour-Mount Teide and Gofo Rocks. To be honest, these 2 attractions are both excellent and they will give the tourist and excellent memory. Our Tennerife tour included 4 Mt Teide related stops, the Gofo Rocks and 1 additional plate tectonic related stop (more later) AND 4 villages PLUS a lunch break with Canarian local food. MT TEIDE: This is the 3rd largest volcano in the world. The volcano is so tall and the air is so pure that there are world class planetarium observatories located on the summit. The area is certified as an International Dark Skt Reserve by the Internationl Dark-Sky Association (IDA). Awesome photo ops were given. When you only have 6 pax in a tour, stopping for pictures is a snap (pun intended). The crater rim of this huge volcano is amazing- it is 11 miles across. It just goes on and on. ADDED BONUS: 3 extra stops for great photo ops of the volcanic region. GOFO ROCKS: A very interesting natural rock formation is located within the crater of this huge volcano. This formation is Gofo Rocks. The rock outcrop formation is TECTONIC and NOT VOLCANIC. 2 tectonic plates collide inside the crater, and the result is the Gofo Rocks. ADDED BONUS: There is another area at high elevation near the summit of a crater rim mountain peak where the tectonic plates also meet. This stop was amazing because the air temperatures for the wind rising up the opposing slopes of the peak are different, and clouds are created when the air flows meet (like cloud forests in Costa Rica). On one side of the peak it is perpetually moist and ferns grow on the steep walls of the arête; the other side has dry air, so it is desert like, with a lot of cactus. CANDELARIA VILLAGE with 10 KINGS STATUES and CHURCH: This was an added bonus stop on the tour. The original aboriginal inhabitants of the island were called Guanches. They were literally stone age tribes. There were a total of 9 tribes-each with a king- together with an overall ruling king. The Spanish arrived and for reasons unknown rounded up all of the tribes and killed them all, so there are no surviving blood lines from the original settlers. Candelaria has statues commemorating each of 10 kings that line the perimeter of a plaza that also has a nice photo op of a church. 3 ADDITIONAL VILLAGES: We drove through 3 additional villages that had quaint or historical significance. It was pleasant to see locals in their natural environment.
