        A great day out
A great day out with a great host, Helena. To see the rings on Saturn; to see four of the moons on Jupiter, an amazing day. Well done Helena.

        Fantastic experience!
This was an amazing experience and I dare to say a must-go-to when visiting Tenerife. We were picked up at our hotel with a touring bus by driver Eduardo and guide Nico. The way up to the El Teide National park was already a treat. Nico told us lots of information about the island. We stopped few times for some really nice photospots. Then after a toilet break and time for some coffee at the really nice Papillon restaurant, we went into the National park. Nico told us a lot about the vulcano's and the landscape in a funny and clear way. The views were awesome. After a few photo moments we went towards the spot for the sunset. Since the sun doesn't wait on anyone, Nico very patiently and friendly made sure we were all on time back in the bus. The sunset was epic, we were handed a glass of cava and the spot was great. Amazing moment the sun went down. Tip: Make sure you have extra clothing with you, because when the sun is gone, it starts to get cold real fast. After the sunset we went back to the Papillon restaurant for a nice meal. After the meal we were taken to a spot where they set up some telescopes. They let us see a few different spots, which was really epic! Saw the ring around Saturn, fantastic sight! After that, the actual star gazing began. Nico pointed out several constellations and told a lot of nice facts. The sky is so filled with stars, really fantastic. We were dropped of at the hotel around midnight. This was an amazing experience, can recommend it to everyone visiting Tenerife! You will not regret it!

        Teneriffe Highlight Experience
"Teide by Night" was a great experience. In the comfortable and air-conditioned coach, our group was driven to the national park after pick-up near the hotel. The timing and locations for breaks and photo stops were very good, the tour guide explained very well during the journey and at night when observing the stars and provided extensive information on a wide variety of areas. The star observation and the sundowner at 2300 m altitude were definitely the highlight of this year's trip to Tenerife.

        Disappointed
Went onthe star gazing tour on June 6th this year. But was disappointed as it looked like it was a prejecter showing the stars didn't look real. Wodant recommended to book . Very expensive for what it is.

        Stargazing on Mount Teide
What a great trip! Good options for local pick up. Brand new bus, very clean. Great guide in Nico and excellent driving (can't recall his name). Very knowledgeable about the national park and the constellations. The stop offs weren't too bad.....not ridiculous prices and clean venues. Food was ok and the wine plentiful with the meal. Cava provided during one of the stop offs with plenty of top ups. Overall, excellent value for money and we would recommend going with this company

Best excursion we’ve done so far!
What an excellent day! This excursion was worth every penny and more. There was so much detail and information but not overwhelming. The mulled wine, cava and blankets was an excellent touch to the sunset part of the tour. Ruban was our driver who was very funny and Elena was our guide who was very kind and informative and had great humour. Absolute gorgeous views of the sunset. The stargazing was my favourite part. The largest amount of stars I have ever seen! My top tip would be to bring layers with you as it gets rather cold the higher you go. Even if you think you have reduced mobility, the tour is still suitable for you, you can choose you can stay on the coach if you want, yet the walks that we did were fine for all abilities. The longest walk we had to do was literally 5 minutes to a coffee shop! The meal was a little bit of a let down but we weren’t there for that. One of the best excursions we’ve done on our holiday!

        Unforgettable Trip
We booked this trip through our hotel TUI Rep. this is without doubt the best trip we have been on for a long time. Our driver was Oswaldo, who was so helpful and a very good driver: we felt safe and confident with him. He even found an iPhone charger for me to use. Our guide Isabelle was very experienced, funny, appropriate and very knowledgeable about the area, flora and forna! When it came to the star gazing we were blown away by her knowledge. She has the skills to include all in group, taking photos of couples etc. The ‘ telescope’ man was really helpful and I am sorry we have forgotten his name, but he was goid. The whole trip was an unforgettable trip. Both Oswaldo and Isabelle were terrific, thank you

        Isobel was fantastic
Just to congratulate Isobel and her colleague on providing five star care whilst sharing her vast knowledge locally and indeed her very impressive stargazing skills. From the moment they both welcomed us aboard the spotless coach which indeed reflected not only his onboard housekeeping efforts but his driving was safe and courteous to all . Isobel was a fantastic ambassador to us all insuring everyone was well tended and involved . Her quite obvious customer care focused on providing a truly memorable experience. Again thank you both for making this a special day. Finally Isobel’s connection to nature and our world bought a huge smile to all like minded Kind wishes The bee whisperer

        Beautiful Nature 💫🌟
What an amazing experience from beginning to end x Our guide was Isabelle…such a wealth of knowledge and passion for both earth and skies x also a very humorous lady. Our driver ( whose name escapes me) was also brilliant throughout the trip x such skilled driving. Cava, mulled wine and orange juice were provided (and continually topped up by our hosts) to toast the beautiful sunset x Our 3rd time in Tenerife, and first on Teide…should have done it sooner…definitely a must for those humming and har’ing about doing it 🙌🌞💫

        A fantastic trip.
A lovely evening trip lead by our informative and entertaining guide Elena. A spectacular sunset above the clouds , accompanied by free flowing cava, was followed by a nice meal at the highest restaurant in Spain (again accompanied by free flowing wine if you wanted!) Stargazing followed where we had fantastic views of planets and nebulae through the telescopes provided. Again Elena provided a fascinating commentary. A relaxing, enjoyable, educational trip with great hosts in the bus driver and Elena. Highly recommended. (Take warm clothes for the stargazing!)

Isobel the tour's star of the fermament
This journey into the stunning vista of a truly dark sky protected by the prohibition of man's light pollution is a rare and wonderful sight in this modern day and age. Starting with a sunset sinking below a cloud horizon followed by a sky infinite in depth penetrated by myriads of stars dancing in the relativity of spacetime. All of this augmented by the narrative of the informative and enthusiastic Isobel. Does she write her own stuff? Never a dull moment, she remembers her motley charges with a special word or joke for each making all feel that someone does love them after all. She's an astronomical teacher of this 28 degree latitude. Let's not forget the driver, ironically his name I missed (deaf), who guided the behemoth of a starship with consummate skill up and down the side of Tenerife's volcano. A must for those mesmerised by the mystery of the cosmos

I've heard about this tour through a YouTube vlog, and after a quick Google search I've found a booking provider for it.

We got picked up by bus straight from our hotel on Friday from Puerto de la Cruz and afterwards dropped off at the hotel as well.

The bus driver and tour guide both were amazing - great driver skills for navigating on a mountain road, and great explanation and information about bus stops, our tour plan, history, facts, and jokes.

There were a few of bus stops with amazing scenery, sunset viewing spot (even though we couldn't get to the original one because of the clouds and dangerous conditions, but went to a backup one, which still was great), a stargazing spot with tour guide explaining constellations with lazer pointer, and then the telescope experience. We were lucky that the skies were clear and there was no moon or light pollution.

I would want to mention that the bus doesn't have a toilet, but there are a few stops where you are able to use it, and that you definitely should wear warm clothes, since during the evening/night it gets really cold in that terrain (I'm talking like +10°C in January). We were also offered hot mint tea and blankets, so it was easier for many to deal with the cold conditions.

The restaraunt dinner was good, it felt very local in a way, with 3 course meals - pumpkin soup, roasted chicken with potatoes and a chocolate mousse (with vegetarian options also being available and tour guide asked that before the trip in advance), Fanta/Coca Cola, as well as red and white wine. We were also offered a glass of beer as a welcome drink before we got our food.
The restaraunt staff were very welcoming and friendly, even though they needed to serve 100+ people in short period of time.

I would say that this tour was totally worth it for the money, and was amazingly and smoothly organized, both with the time estimates of the tour guide, bus driver making it all happen in time and driving safely, and the restaraunt staff feeding all of us without a huge delay!

A surreal experience. Driving through the national park was amazing and there was plenty of jaw dropping scenery along the way. We booked through TUI and had a English speaking guide that was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. We stopped at several viewpoints on our way up with plenty of time to look around and take a few pictures. We then arrived at the restaurant (Papillon). The only negative information we found online before the excursion was about this restaurant but I honestly thought the food was really tasty and staff were as helpful as they could be despite not speaking any English. Any negative reviews are simply people thinking they would be served Michelin star standard food at a 2500m altitude restaurant, which obviously isn't the case. There was more wine than we could drink as well as a whole bottle of Fanta and Coke on the table between 8 people. There was even a little gift shop at the front where you could buy a quite reasonably priced souvenir.
After this you watch the most beautiful sunset over the clouds, which is very surreal. You are also given a glass of Cava to enjoy whilst watching it. You then briefly stop at Papillon again for another glass of Cava or hot chocolate (strongly recommend the hot chocolate) on your way to star gazing. Again the stargazing was amazing and I was shocked at how much the guide new. I thought she would just point out a couple of stars but she knew the whole background story about most things in the night sky. We then looked through telescopes at a few different constellations. Bare in mind we went on a warm night and at that altitude it was still only 8 degrees. They had blankets on the coach, which helped a lot but defo bring a jumper/coat.
In summary, honestly one of the best value for money trips I've ever been on and could not recommend more.

A truly amazing day out. The afternoon was well planned with respectful comfort breaks and refreshments. The journeying was fabulous, mainly due to our superb tour guide, who must be a botanist, geologist and historian. Amanda kept our attention so well with stories of the past and present as we learnt so much about Tenerife's culture, history and geography. She was so interesting and delivered at a pace which meant it could easily be taken in. The tour of Mt Teide and the lkava fields was fascinating. After, we had a wonderful stop to view the sunset from well above 7000ft; it was getting cold but hot mint tea was provided. Subsequently, we we driven to a lovely 3-course dinner were we got to know our fellow travellers a little more. What was especially nice here was that drinks were provided as part of the fee, so we all felt equally welcomed. Afterwards we set out for our star-gazing experience to top off a wonderful day. This is when Amanda showed she's also an astronomer and astrologer as she pointed out the major objects on show and through excellent telescopes we viewed Jupiter and the rings of Saturn. Again, and like the rest of the day before, the organisation for the night-time activities was spot-on, with 6 telescopes available, we all had ample time to view the planets and never felt rushed. The journey home in the dark was superbly driven by Reuben, our coach driver, who had been great all day long. The last lovely touch was being dropped off at our hotels in the same order we were picked up, so nobody spent too long on the coaches at both ends of the tour. In summary, a worth-while and valuable day out which was worth the fee. Many thanks to Amanda and Reuben for their time and considerate attention to all our questions throughout the tour.

My fiancé and I were excited for the Teide by Night experience, but the way the tour guide Isabel and the bus driver Antonio treated us completely ruined it.
During the sunset stop, we were first told to be back at the bus by 6:30 PM, which we did. Later, Isabel said we could stay and watch the sunset until it got dark. Since the sun actually set around 7:00 PM, by the time we made it back to the bus, it was 7:05 PM.

As soon as we approached the bus, Isabel and Antonio started scolding us like we were misbehaving kids, saying we had delayed the group by 15 minutes—even though other tourists later told us that another bus was blocking the way, and the actual wait was only about 5 minutes. No one had been complaining, especially since they had seen us earlier talking to Isabel, specifically asking about a return time.

But the worst part? Both Isabel and the driver, Antonio, started badmouthing us in Spanish, even though they knew I spoke Spanish. I didn’t want to get into a shouting match since I was sitting in the 5th row, but their comments were completely unprofessional and unnecessary. Those words damaged our entire experience, and I can only imagine how many non-Spanish-speaking tourists have been insulted behind their backs without ever realizing it.

On top of that, their instructions for returning to the bus were completely unclear—“come back when it gets dark” is not a real time. If they needed everyone back at a specific time, they should have just said so, especially if they claim to have been working for this company for years.

The food at the restaurant was also disappointing—definitely not something worth looking forward to. If you're expecting a quality meal as part of the experience, lower your expectations.

After the tour, I reached out to the company to express my concerns, hoping they would take the situation seriously. Instead, I was met with a generic response that defended the guide’s reputation rather than actually investigating what happened or addressing our complaints. They showed no real interest in fixing the problem or making things right.

Yes, you get access to telescopes, but you’re only allowed to see 3-4 celestial bodies—which isn’t much considering the €178 price tag. Honestly, you’re better off just renting a car and going on your own. That way, you can enjoy the views at your own pace, avoid the rude staff, and actually get your money’s worth.

The stars were beautiful, but honestly, this tour left a bad taste in our mouths. If you still decide to book after reading this, the only thing I can recommend is bringing really warm jackets because up in Mount Teide, the temperatures are freezing, and you will be miserable if you’re not prepared.
Would I recommend it? Not at all.

What an amazing trip! We booked this for the Friday; however, we received a message via WhatsApp that they only collect from the north of the island on a Wednesday, so we changed the date.
The coach picked us up on time and we were met by our tour guide, Tania, who was very friendly and knowledgeable. The entire way, we were provided with the history of the area and informative facts.
There were several stops to see the area from different vantage points before arriving at a restaurant where we would later have dinner for a 30 minute break to use the restrooms, get a drink etc.
We then had further stops before being provided with numerous glasses of cava/mulled wine/orange juice and peanuts for 30-40 minutes to watch the beautiful sunrise. We then had dinner at the restaurant (not the best quality but edible; vegetable soup and a roll for starters, breaded chicken, potatoes and veg for the main and chocolate mousse for dessert. Vegetarians are catered for). Soft drinks and white and red wine were also provided.
We then saw numerous constellations and the moon (amazing) through the telescopes before Tania guided us through the stars and constellations that we could see with the naked eye.
We were then taken back to our hotel with sweets to suck on the way.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would recommend it to anyone who wants to see Mount Teide and the local area during the day and the evening. The operator is very thoughtful and had thought of every eventuality/need.
Just a couple of tips; there were only two opportunities to use the toilet during the trip (which totalled around nine hours), so you’ll need a strong bladder (there’s no toilet on the coach). Bring warm clothing as it does get cold once the sun goes down (blankets are

      The Good/Right for us:
      - Having the opportunity to view the stars, moon and planets through the professional telescopes was awesome!
      - The sunset stop was also a highlight. The drinks included during the stop were a nice touch and we felt we were given plenty of time to enjoy the moment and capture some family photos.
      - Careful and confident coach driving made us feel safe, even on the steep/winding National Park roads.
      - Very reasonably priced compared to some excursions we've been on elsewhere.
      - Guide was very knowledgeable about the island, Teide National Park, and stargazing, and he shared some interesting facts.

      The not-so-good/not right for us:
      - The included dinner (at Pavillion) was really poor and yet felt compulsory. The soup was cold, there was no choice, like a bad school dinner etc. Would've happily paid the same excursion price yet brought our own picnic to eat outside/spent the stop time looking around the gift shop.
      - The toilets at the restaurant stop were not clean at all during our visit and made me gag.
      - We would've appreciated a few quiet minutes during/after the stargazing to wander away from the group and enjoy a peaceful moment to take in the sky ourselves with what we'd learned, before being expected to return to the coach.
      - The guide's attempts at humour during the commentary were sometimes quite distasteful - this was unnecessary and detracted from the experience for us.
      - So many different hotel pick ups and drop offs makes for a lot of extra time sitting on the coach.

Overall, and mainly due to the restaurant stop and a meal being included, I would not book this excursion again.

Dear Guest, Thank you so much to take time to give us your feedback about our experience Teide by Night. We like hearing all comments of our guests to improve always our service and to give the best service at each tour. We are glad to read that you had enjoyed the parts sunset and stargazing (the Teide National Park offers so beautiful landscape during the day as well during the night with his starry sky), that you had appreciated the explanations of the guide and that you had learnt a lot about Tenerife, his culture and the stargazing. Regarding the food, the dinner offered in the restaurant Papillon is a 3 course-dinner with water and wine included. We are sorry if the dinner wasn’t not to your likings and hope you mentioned it to the guide whilst you were at the restaurant as we would have gladly changed your plate for you. From the review you wrote we can see that unfortunately you did not enjoy the Teide by Night tour like our other guests, but we accept and respect that we are all different and entitled to an opinion and therefor perceive your rating as a constructive critique. Kind regards, Teide by Night Team Elegant Excursions

Teide by night is an absalute must do whilst in Tenerife. The trip was well organised and absolutely stunning. Or guide Isabel was very informative and gave us loads of interesting facts about our surroundings as soon as we were on the coach. We stopped at multiple viewing points along the way where she had plenty of information to share with us, and she was more than ready to take excellent photos. We stopped just outside the national park at a lovely cafe. It was busy but the staff were great and very efficient. they sell excellent cake and coffee as well as some local produce, and I would highly recommend giving it a go. The stops along the way had stunning views, and you could tell how passionate Isabel is about the island.
Tea was lovely. There was a set menu, but the staff were more than happy to make adjustments for dietary requirements/requests. We had drinks on the table (wine, orange juice, water, and coke), and they had beer available at the bar. There is also a lovely gift shop which sells national parks and teide by night suveneers. The shopkeeper didn't speak English, but Isabel was on hand to help and translate. It is very clear that the tour guides have an excellent relationship with people who work in Teide National Park.
From there, we headed to watch the sunset, and it was stunning. We were above the clouds, and it felt like you were in another world. The photos will never do that justice. Once the sun had set, we headed off to go star gazing. Once again, Isabel was very informative and had an excellent lazer, which was great for pointing things out in the night sky. On the night we visited, we had no moon, so there was no light pollution apart from the occasional passing car. With the help of some telescopes, we spotted multiple satellites, 6 constellations, the Milkyway, 2 clusters, a nebula, and Saturn. It was a little chilly, so I would recommend taking extra layers, and they do offer blankets if you wish to use one.
Finally, our driver Domingo did an absolutely fabulous job of navigating the roads as they are very windy, but he was so smooth and was ready to help pass out drink and blankets.
The whole experience was more than we could have wished for. We saw loads but never felt rushed. Thank you so much to Isobel, Domingo, the staff at the cafe and restaurant, and the whole team at Teide by Night for giving us a truly unforgettable experience.

It was the most unique experience of our lives. It already started when picking up how friendly and full of enthusiasm isabelle greeted us and welcomed us. During the ride also delicious jokes in between so it never became boring. Isabelle can also tell everything and clearly. This excursion was more than worth the money was good stops and nice area of national park where you have few stops to be able to photograph. Isabelle was suddenly your photographer who shoots the most beautiful pictures of you and you can kiss haha. Being able to enjoy the sunset even if it was this time with a fruit juice as cava because of the rules now, but that doesn't make it less on also a hand with nuts .Also the 3 course menu was very tasty and of course the highlight of the trip the stars how clearly they shine in the sky and what we all can't see with the naked eye. Also impressive and very interesting to be able to see the moon and even Saturn in the telescope. We had a very nice experience because of this and there remains for us 1 star that shines and that is isabelle how she tells everything and makes the atmosphere. We say cheers and isabelle enjoy your cactus liquer (you know who we are)

I would highly recommend this tour.
We were met at the agreed time by a super friendly host called Isobel and her driver Osvaldo (apologies if i have spelt that incorrectly). Once onboard a very comfortable coach we were given proper introductions an the itinerary by Isobel, who apart from being extremely knowledgeable does a tremendous sideline in humour which continued throughout the tour.

The tour is a fairly by the numbers stop here, look at this, back on the coach, onto the next etc....etc..... However it does show a side to Tenerife that many will not see and for that reason i would say it is a must do.

The Mount Teide national park is an absolute wonder and Isobel's knowledge of the history, flora and fauna would be hard to match.

The night time star gazing part of the tour was an absolute joy, truly awe inspiring.

One criticism would be the "3 course meal" which consisted of food that was very poor.

      Anyway, can't have everything.

What an amazing experience. A must for all ages and star gazing lovers. The whole trip was worth every minute.
We were met by Amanda and Ruben our guide and driver for the evening. Amanda was fantastic, funny, at the same time very informative. Amanda did not stop giving us information on the island, plant life, volcanos, drinks to try and food to eat. Amanda’s passion for the stars and Tenerife was 100% genuine. We stopped a couple of times for “wee wee stops and snacks” saw the sunset with a glass of cava and nuts then a 3 course meal and a local restaurant. Including wine, beer and soft drinks. Finally we went to an amazing spot to watch the stars with a full tour of the consultation’s and telescope view of Venus and clusters. Then back home driven carefully by Ruben.
I would highly recommend this trip to anyone even if you have done tiede in the day the views are spectacular
