- Tony H00Great ExperienceWe took the 3 hour buggy tour. Fantastic experience. Great fun. Minor issue with our buggy but not surprising with the hammering they get on the off road trips. (Ladies wear a sports bra!). Fixed on-site by our guide. Highly recommended. Thanks guys.
- jonhB3398FV00Not your usual vehicle hire.Just done the 2 hour buggies tour, first of all our 2 guides Mario and Jason were great. The tour was part road and part off road . The buggie was a nightmare no brakes, very loose steering hard to find any gear and kept jumping out of 3rd, I loved every minute of it , the buggies are put under huge stress off road and are made to work really hard. Would definitely do it again and definitely recommend. Thanks again guys Jon and Jack.
- WanderingSurvivor00Fun, but not worth the risk.Let me start by saying I've driven buggies many times in different countries, it's an excursion we always book, as options to do this in the UK are limited, and have lots of experience of driving offroad vehicles. Pro's: - There was more driving than sightseeing, we were looking for offroad buggie driving, not tourist pit stops. - The drive had a reasonable level of offroad activity, and the drive wasnt as boring as the briefing suggested it might be. - The guides we friendly and articulate, and had the mechanical knowledge to deal with issues (more to come). Con's: - I chose this company as the buggies were geared up for fun, fast, offroad driving. manual gear box, reasonable power, low and wide but with decent ground clearance. Great for driving through the dunes etc. - The briefing suggested it'd be very slow, steady driving, which was disappointing, however the limiting factor was other peoples ability/condition of the car vs' the lead car's pace, and overall the pace wasnt terrible. - Glasses were provided not goggles, goggles are really needed when there's thick dust flying in your eyes. - Finally the buggies are tired, and IMO unsafe, pretty much the same issues others have already flagged. - Our first kart had the following issues: 1) Excessive play in the steering rack, resulting in VERY poor steering, trying to keep the buggy straight on the roads was difficult and down right scary. At speed the buggie started snaking side to side 2) Brakes were poor with lose bolts on the front right caliper, 3) Gear linkages were all generally worn really badly but, 3rd gear was hard to engage from the start and within 15mins started jumping out. Flagged the issues and we checked it over, two of the gearbox mounts had snapped (wear and tear for these vehicles, but we gone out in it broken). 4) Seats no longer adjust so lose foam is placed under/behind you, presenting a fall out risk. 5) The harness safety release button kept jamming (at least we didn't catch fire or roll over and need to get out). 6) Kept losing power. 7) Handbrakes disabled 8) You're advised to keep a buggy and a half distance between the one infront at all times, yet the stopping distance is about 10/15 times that distance, you'd easily end up rear-ending the person in front. After the gearbox mounts had snapped we transferred into the backup buggie. 1) Steering was much better, but only when turning left, on my first right hand bend on the road I ended up way on the other side of the carriage way, luckily no on coming cars! 2) 10mins into the second buggie and we lost all power again, this time the fuel pump had packed up. Guys we're quick to diagnose and luckily had a spare, but back we went into broken buggie number 1 :-D 3) All the other issues above regarding poor brakes, sticking harness release, disabled handbrake were the same. Obviously this cost the whole group a lot of time, maybe 20/30mins. Did we have fun? Yeah it was a laugh Would we do it again? No, not unless they'd seriously overhauled the buggies or replaced them, they're just not safe, particularly on the road with other cars, coaches and lorries passing you. Was it value for money? If the buggies had been sound, then yes. I can see if you've never done this before you'd be wowed by the "experience", and had the buggies been sound i'd agree the "package" offered was good. But both the buggies I drove were the worst i've ever driven. Time to re-invest guys!
- DONTEXPEXTATIPEARNIT00A brilliant way to see LanzaroteBrilliant fun for everyone. My wife and I enjoyed this as a birthday treat - something a bit different. Admittedly we were slightly apprehensive we would look slightly out of place (whisper it - middle aged couple) and be surrounded by testosterone fueled 20 year old something 'petrol heads'. Im pleased to say we could not of been more wrong. It was a mixed friendly crowd of all ages and abilities. The tutorship and guide was first rate and no one got left behind. I would strongly recommend this to anyone looking for some fun as well as a different way to enjoy and see the island.
- P7722VYelainew00AmazingCouldn’t recommend doing this enough! I was very nervous about this experience but the guides were the friendliest and nicest people putting all my nerves at ease very quickly. The views were incredible and the whole experience was the best part of our holiday. Totally worth the money and time! I’d definitely do this again in a heart beat with these guys!
- E8885OLsamp00Dusty funA fab way to spend a couple of hours, see the island landscape and have some fun. The team are all fantastic - from the lady in charge of the office and bookings to the whole team that joined us on our tour we were very well looked after. I wasn’t looking forward to the second half (when I had to take over my other half for the driving) but Chris our tour guide and the other guys leading us were amazing and I really ended up enjoying - the 2 hours flew over (though I’d recommend a good stretch of your calf’s beforehand!!)
- daviddL3820LJ00Amazing 3 hours of fun! With great guides!4 of us done 3 hour trip with Mario and the team, they were amazing, friendly knowledgeable! Also didn't let other people ruin it for the rest of us! Hats of to the guys! Highly recommend
- lydbarbcol00Fantastic buggy experience with wonderful guidesA group of 7 of us went on a buggy experience for my dad’s 60th - Mario and his lovely colleague (so sorry I didn’t get your name!) were great guides, very funny and supportive! Buggies were fun to drive and a unique experience that I had never thought I’d do but would definitely do again. The Buggies Lanzarote staff at the office were lovely too. Highly recommend.
- 93lewk00Great day out !!!!I would give 6 stars, if i could . We ve had a unreal day out, our guide has been Adriano. Very professional guide, made sure that safety is first and showed us a wicked time on the tracks, with fabulously views of the island. Also a very fun character, that made us lough. Would recommend this tour to anyone with this company ,coming to the island
- 11stut00Best buggy tour on lanzaroteWent with my daughter on the 2hour buggy trip was a great experience and would highly recommend to anyone . The staff are brilliant too good laugh , wish we had done the 3 hours
- sueswain00Absolutely Fantastic!!!!!Wow-what a fantastic time we had on this buggy trip. We couldn't fault it at all and wished we had gone back again! Yes, we got filthy with the dust but we would do it again in a heartbeat. Sadly I have forgotten the guy who headed up the team but he was such a fantastic guy, full of fun and very friendly as was the chap who stayed at the back to keep us all together. We led the way most of the time behind our lead and had a brilliant time. We would have loved to go up a few mountains too, but the trip of three hours was a blast to go on. Exhilarating, fast-paced and totally awesome!! Go on this trip you won't be disappointed and we will definitely be going again when we return to stay in Puerto Calero.Huge thanks to you both!!
- dawnpirie201700AwesomeOne word AWESOME. Guides were great fun and really looked after us making sure none of us got lost. There were 3 of us but our daughter got to jump in with the guide and they really looked after her. Buggies easy to drive and brilliant fun. Don’t wear your best clothes and definitely buy a scarf from the buggy office if you don’t have your own as lots of dust. Highly recommend if your looking for a fun activity.
- Andy O002 hour sessionDid the 2 hour tour, absolutely great fun, would highly reccomend. Tour guides were very friendly, only regret is I didn't do the 3 hour and only the 2.
- burgyg002 hour buggy fun experience.Mario and Chris explained everything at the start and were supportive and cheerful throughout. This is a truly fantastic experience, that I strongly recommend! So so much fun! Just do it, you won’t regret it!
- Connar31400Worth the money very fun for all agesWent on a 2 hour tour (lasted more like 2 hours 20) we had Mario and Chris guiding us they were very helpful. The website actively suggests at 21+ to drive however I did fine and I am only 19. They checked up on me regularly which was fair. Cars were really fun to drive it's more like a 50/50 off road to on normal roads ratio but still incredibly fun. Overall definitely and reccomend worth the price. We even brought our 79 year old Nan on the trip and she enjoyed it (well most of it) so don't let age stop you.

Near the beginning of the tour, the tour guide driving the lead car stormed over to my buggy, removed the key from the ignition, and shouted
“You’re done! You can get a taxi back! Get out!”
I remained calm, and asked,
“Why are you shouting at me?”
“Because you drive like a f**king idiot!”
He then marched over to the other tour guide, Chris. To Chris’ credit, he did his best to de-escalate and calm the aggressive tour guide.
I overheard the aggressive tour guide say to Chris, “I wanted to f**king slap him!”
I wasn’t physically attacked, but I don’t think even the hint of it is appropriate for a tour.
Chris persuaded the lead tour guide to allow me to continue driving as long as I am more gentle with the car. Perhaps the aggressive tour guide was upset because these buggies are indeed quite old and rickety, and in poor condition. Personally I don’t mind driving a machine like this — I think it’s part of the fun. Some of the other drivers had problems with their car’s reliability.
Immediately after the incident, some of the other drivers came over to me and asked what happened. I explained that the guide shouted at me because he didn’t like my driving, but that I wasn’t so unhappy. It was nice weather, and island is beautiful, so everyone should be happy.
When the aggressive guide returned, he saw that I was still happy and smiling, and he rather aggressively said “Don’t laugh!”
I’m not sure what he was expecting me to do. Should I have been upset? Should I have been aggressive in return? I don’t think so. We were all there to have a nice time.
At the end of the tour we parked the buggies. As we were walking away from the parking, I overheard the two guides arguing, and I heard the aggressive tour guide shout “Because he was being f**king cheeky!”
For the unprofessional behaviour, I cannot recommend this tour or this company.
If the owner of the business is reading this, I think Chris deserves a raise. What should happen with the aggressive tour guide is fairly obvious.
If Chris is reading this: I think you would fare better at another company.

Had a fantastic tour with the team. The 3 hour tour was great value for money! You definitely got to enjoy the buggies for what they were, powerful off road beasts! There was plenty of off road driving where you could get some good speed up and get the adrenalin racing and see what the suspensions are made of! The team were engaging, fun and very clear with instructions. The stop for tapas had great food as well! Would thoroughly recommend!

All I can say is this adventure was worth every Penney. If we could give six stars we would. It was a bit scary/intimidating at the start as the buggies we had (maverick 200hp) are monsters of the off-road world. When you see them you’ll know what I mean. That being said, our guide tony just assured us if we follow him all will be fine and he was spot on. He made my girlfriend feel safe and even encouraged her to have a go. She thought it was excellent also. Most will be a little outside their comfort zone when starting off but I can say if you listen to tony and his instructions you are guaranteed a great time. Exceptional views with some breathtaking off-road is guaranteed.

Me and my partner visited Lanzarote Buggies today for the 3 hour tour. I can hand on heart say it made our trip, the instructors are out of this world, they offered to the not so strong drivers an opportunity to have a short spell off road to make sure no one was left out and they were constantly insuring people were safe whilst having fun.
Could not recommend enough thank you so much we will definitely be back:).

Highly recommend this excursion to anyone wanting a last minute thing to do on your trip away! Was very handy as we got picked up and dropped off at our apartment and it was a really fun filled adventure for the day. We took the 3 hours buggy tour which is well worth the money and to top it off we couldn’t have asked for a better guide as half way through the trip my phone had died and he was lovely enough to take some for us to remember the day! (Unfortunately I don’t think he took our number down right though so if it was possible for him to get in contact we would be really appreciate getting to see those photos if you could send them through to: emmabailie.official@gmail.com)
Thanks again guys, definitely be back!

Wow Just when you thought There's nothing left to do on the Island. Boom 3hr Buggy tour!!!
Probably the best excursion I've been on.
Both professional and funny from the start.
This rekindled the petrol head in me.
So nice to put your foot down and even with no off road experience these buggies are easy to drive.
I've asked Mrs if I can sell our car and buy one.
3hrs hrs go past in a blink and will leave you wanting more
#Topoutfit
Excellent value for money, even Bandanas a reasonable 5 euros, or as they said 2.50 next door, good to see they are not out to grab your Euro. The bandana they sell makes for Excellent souvenir.
Update Mrs said no!
Oh well I will definitely do this again with these guys, still buzzing.

If you're expecting a lot of off-roading, don't book, you'll mainly driving with traffic. We've been on similar tours & these buggies are quite worn out. You aren't allowed to drive very fast, but I guess it's for everyone's safety. There seemed to be quite a few people that weren't confident drivers, which slowed down the tour & in my opinion made it unsafe in some situations. Overall, I found it boring & wouldn't recommend it, especially for the price.

Had an amazing time on the buggies with Carlo. It was a Great mix of on and off road and a nice little stop off to get an ice cream. Would definitely recommend wearing bottoms and a jacket as although it is warm, it is extremely windy

Our tour with Alexander was absolutely amazing. We discovered parts of Lanzarote you won’t be able to explore otherwise. Breath-taking views at El Golfo, cruising through the vineyards, speeding through the inner parts of the island and along the coast. We always felt safe with our guide Alexander. He chose a great route for us. The buggies are in great condition too and rather powerful (900cc, 180bhp, 900kg only). We had plenty of fun. Bring sunshades / goggles and a scarf to enjoy to the max and protect yourself from the dust.

Chris, Mario and the office Lady were helpful and supportive. Instructions were clear and in advance of sitting in the buggy. Buggy gearboxes were not the best (particularly 3rd) but the tour was super fun and loved the drivers change option. We did get to see some of the island but not a huge fan of the final winery stop, overall would recommend

Hi there - me plus other half want to go. How does it work? Can I drive and she sits next to me so we have our own buggy, is that right? Assume we don’t have to split up and we can choose who drives? Cheers
