About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Karl A0 contributionsWe all liked itLots of things to do, the extra fee for the camel ride was worth it. Great sights, got quite a few photos. The guide was very knowledgeable and informative. The driver was very smooth as well.Written October 4, 2024
- DPritchard790 contributionsFriendly guide , good experienceWe were greeted with a pleasant and cheerful manner by the guide. He made us feel very welcome and told us the itinerary for the day. He was full of knowledge about the island and spoke in several languages to suit all passengers. It did not take long to get to the market and the place was an absolute gem. We walked around the harbour side and stopped in a cafe for a coffee admiring the views. The market it self was very busy but had lots of variety. We got picked up after just over three hours and had a lovely ride along the scenic old road passing through some of the coasts.Thank-you very much for providing us with a good experience :) Definitely recommendWritten September 28, 2024
- Isla F0 contributionsGreat excursionWe had a really great time, there was lots of information provided by the tour guide, and value for money. Be prepared for a long day we were picked up at 08:30 and dropped off at 17:00. Only negative was lunch stop, we didn’t enjoy however this is optional.Written September 27, 2024
- Extraordinary2504370 contributionsGreat locations a bit rushedThe National park was great however the geo thermal experience was almost torture as you’re only there 20 minutes, they cook food from the heat of the earth and you don’t get a chance to eat it. Jameos Del Agua lava tube cave is amazing and would have liked to spend more time here. Could have been structured better to have lunch at these points of interest instead of a restaurant at a bus meeting point.Written September 17, 2024
- Nathsmam0 contributionsMarket day in MOGANThe coach was on time and communication from the tour guide was spot on.He gave a travel guide in several languages and was very knowledgeable about the area.He was very helpful and pleasant to everyone. We got slightly lost on our way back to the coach(2 older ladies 🤪) and he was very calm and told us not to worry via phones.Would definitely recommend and Mogán is very pretty with lots of market stalls. They’re quite expensive but they do take some hard bartering.Written September 14, 2024
- P6487QRmichaelm0 contributionsGreat way to see LanzaroteWhat a great way to see the island of Lanzarote by going on the grand tour with Travelonworld I highly recommend it. You get the breath taking scenery and also the option to do the camel ride for an extra 11 euros.Written July 13, 2024
- sarah_burn740 contributionsPuerto moganwe visited Puerto mogan on market day its a really beautiful town would definitely recommend and would visit again our tour guide kabir was amazing, full of information, friendly, accommodating and full of enthusiasm and paco the driver very friendly polite and punctual great day outWritten July 13, 2024
- L015L0 contributionsGreat way to see the islandWe booked the Grand Tour through First Minute Transfers and was picked up a short 2 minute walk away from our hotel by coach. As we travelled up and down the island the tour guide gave us lots of information about the sights and where we intended to stop. The driver was fantastic at navigating through the tricky, narrow, steep roads and put us at ease. We were picked up at 8.45am and arrived back at our hotel for 5.30pm, so it was a long day. You do spend most of your time on the coach as you travel from one end of the island to the other, but that is to be expected. We first stopped at the National Park of Timanfaya for a little while. The views were amazing and we watched 3 experiments to show just how hot it was a few inches under the stones. It felt like we could have been here a little longer and seen a little more but after that, we were back on the road. The next stop was the camel rides, which I have written a separate review for so will not go on too much. However, I would not recommend this, the camels are not cared for, the men did not care for them and just want to take your money - to put it bluntly, it is just cruelty. We then went on for a lunch break, which was in a secluded area with only the buffet as an option which had been chosen by the vendor, and a very small cafe that served only ham and cheese sandwiches. We opted for the sandwiches which were quite nice and as there was no other option. We then moved onto the lagoon which was amazing. Such incredible views and so much to take in, from the green pool of water, to the amazing different rocks and cliff looking volcanoes - it was a shame we were only here for 20 minutes. We then went on to a vineyard where we were given a small tester of wine. I think it could have been a better experience if there was someone there to explain more about the vineyard, the grapes, the way they bottle the wine etc. Otherwise it just felt like a quick toilet break and we were off again. The last stop was by far the best - Jameos del Agua. What a beautiful place, like a paradise island. It was peaceful, relaxing and I was stunned by the beauty. We were there for about 45 minutes, which did seem like long enough to walk through the caves, enjoy the views and stop by the gift shop. Overall I would recommend this excursion but a few little tweaks could make it better!Written June 27, 2024
- purnammagar0 contributionsA must tour in LanzaroteHighlight of my holiday to Lanzarote. There were so many excursion available but glad we chose this and it was the best experience ever. Never thought volcanic mountain would be this great, and the thermal experiment was so amazing. Camel ride and lunch was extra and it was mentioned on the details. For the price i did expected lunch would be included but €12 pp was well worth it as the food was very delicious. It was buffet and drinks were included. Camel ride was €11pp, again good experience but it was not good value for the price. If you’re visiting Lanzarote then this trip is a must.Written June 6, 2024
- JessFLKMorrow0 contributionsWould highly recommend!I would highly recommend this excursion to anyone of any ages, also if you want to get to know the history of Lanzarote. Our tour guide Thomas was absolutely brilliant and very knowledgeable about everything to tour had to offer. It is a full day of travelling around the island, but, in my opinion, it is very much worth it! You get to see the true beauty of the island and the landscapes it has as well as facts and history of the volcanos that make up the island, the history of Lanzarote, the vineyards, the lagoons, Timanfaya and the fire mountains! Your lunch is included which consists of a buffet style lunch at a restaurant you are taken to. This trip is worth every penny, we were however a little disappointed in the vineyard as you are told you can go wine tasting when in reality you are only given the smallest amount of either a sweet or dry wine and in the first place we went to to see the green lagoon you had to pay 1 euro to use the toilet, so I would suggest going to the loo before you go! Everywhere else you go on the trip is free to use the loo! All in all, we had a brilliant day! Got picked up at 8:50am and was back at our hotel for around just after 4pm! Definitely go if you have the opportunity to!Written March 4, 2024
- F9585CSchloem0 contributionsSave your money and do something more excitingAwful. Not sure why these reviews are all so high. I expected a day on a bus but this was really bad… Well over priced. Be prepared for a long day with experiences that really are not that interesting. Save your money and do something else. Worst part of all the poor camels… tied down to their own legs so they can’t get up. Muzzled and Weighed down with sandbags. No food. No water. Lying in their own faeces . And forced to walk up and down that mountain ALL day. Truly horrible experience!!! This needs to stop.Written February 27, 2024
- jonsm1930 contributionsContinuous coach commentary in 3 languages spoiled the tripUnfortunately the commentary was continuous for the entire trip as the guide had to speak in three languages, Spanish, English & German, it was very loud initially, we did ask for the volume to be reduced which it was slightly but still uncomfortable. I’m sure it was for others. We sat with our fingers in our ears at times. It made the trip uncomfortable and not all together enjoyable. The three stops are worth a visit but it was very busy at the Timanfaya NP with vehicles queuing and at Jameos del Agua we had a very long standing queue behind at least three other coach loads of people which reduced the enjoyment once inside due to numbers of people slowly snaking along. The highlight for me was Greens Caves and exploring the lunch stop village. I’m aware you can only travel the NP luna route by coach so organised trips are the only way for this. I wouldn’t recommend this trip unless the commentary can be sorted out. Early on in the trip the French speakers transferred to their own coach, also English is the language of the EU. The guide was excellent throughout and commentary issue apart, she worked extremely hard for our safety and enjoyment.Written February 24, 2024
- Tom N0 contributionsViews if a lifetimeTour group was way too large. We stuffed a huge intercity bus. The first hour or two was a waste of time, driving through overdeveloped tourist areas. But when we really got on the way, the tour was great. Well put together with stunning views of a lifetime.Written February 23, 2024
- catherine m0 contributionsLanzarote South TourThe tour was fabulous with Yvette as our tour guide. Once on the tour the length at each stop was appropriate for the attraction. There was confusion and lack of co-ordination in the hotel pick ups - some people were on the bus for an hour and half before everyone was picked up.Written February 15, 2024
- 295jamesp0 contributionsIntresting day but delayed by TUI bus broken down at cratersThe tour was full even in January . The driver and tour guide were really helpful and even have to re plan a visit back to craters at volcanoes due to a broken down TUI bus and exit which blocked the site. Food was included and the pick route was across the whole island (Costa teguise, teguise, Arrecife, peurto del carmen and playa blanca ) we started in the south and return north back toward teguise and the lagoons.Written February 4, 2024

We booked an excursion to the Timanfaya National Park (2 hour trip option) last month with First Minute. Unfortunately there was some issue with their online booking form so we had to email them. We managed to get it booked but realised that they were not picking us up at our hotel but rather a bus stop down the street.
So I emailed to ask which one it was as there was two. Unfortunately, they did not bother to reply so we had to take a chance and just guess.
The bus was 30 minutes late, we literally were just about to walk away from the bus stop when it came down the road.
The national park itself was great. However, the guide literally just whipped us round and we had very little time to see the things on offer where the bus had stopped at the main site. We then went round the park which was a vast area of thin windy roads. This was great to see. But the guide just sat back and put on some really corny tape with sound effects and random music. He then did not speak after that.
On the way back was the worst part, as the bus driver did not seem to have any order for taking people back to their hotels. It seemed like he was literally just randomly picking. So although we were maybe 3rd last to be picked up, we were last to be dropped off. This wouldnt have been so bad if there wasnt so many people to be dropped off. We also noticed that everyone else had actually been dropped off at their actual hotels, so we had to ask to be dropped off at ours and not some random bus stop.
Obviously on excursions you expect to be picked up in a sensible order and then dropped off in the opposite order so we really should have been dropped off 3rd in line. Yet to have to wait until the last, just meant that we were on that bus for way longer than we should have been and the drop offs lasted longer than the whole excursion.
I have also never booked an excursion where you do not get picked up at your hotel. They literally had to pass our hotel to pick us up at this bus stop, so what is the point in that!
For the price it was worth the visit, but the excursion itself was a shambles. Picked
up late and dropped off in some weird order (actually think they forgot about us!).
Could not wait to get off of the bus and were so glad we had not booked anything else with them. All of us felt physically sick from being on that bus for so long!
If this is how this company run their excursions, I definitely would not use them again. Disappointing to say the least.

Great excursion introduced with passion by David our guide. Driving past the mile long queue of hire cars waiting to get into the national park made the ticket price worth it alone.
Volcano road was tremendous and respect to our coach driver for keeping the wheels on the tortuous ribbon of tarmac.
Camels are best described as an ‘experience’, but it keeps the local economy turning over I guess.
Wine tasting was a non event, but the attached gift shop had some really nice local jewellery made from lava and local stones.
Overall an enjoyable day out with easy stops for toilets, drinks etc. Camels were €11 each, not €6 as stated, but they do Apple Pay!
Recommended.

My friend and I often go away for long weekends or tasters of places and we usually take in a tour of some sort. We both wanted to do the camel ride so this was an obvious choice. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny too. The wine tasting was lovely and the location beautiful. Then on to the camels, our highlight. We were put on the lead camel which was great as we had a complete uninterrupted view until the man leading our camel unhitched it and let it take us where it liked. A little worrying but great fun the camel knew where to go. They only work every other day so they do have a reasonable life, their coats seemed in great condition and they were very friendly. I had no qualms about riding one.
We then drove through the Park to view the volcanoes and lava flows. We only stopped to take photographs but had to stay on the bus. This is totally acceptable when you consider how some of our beautiful places are destroyed by humans.
Definitely a good value tour, the camel ride was only an extra 6 euros very good value.

Great experience
Picking everyone from different locations is a bit long but did not reduced our enthusiasm at all. Our guide (forgotten her name) was absolutely amazing, giving informative talks along with few jokes all the way through the tour. At the entrance to Timanfaya is was extremely busy but she went above and beyond to make us have the most enjoyable experience. Mario, the driver had some amazing skills as Timanfaya’s roads are very narrow and he stopped several times for us to take pictures. Bonus point is the comfy bus with air con. The down side is that we were not picked up from the hotel as advertised nor we were told the bus company that will pick us up.
The most important thing is that this tour is well organized. You have a couple of minutes to take photos at Timanfaya, but you don't need more. You have enough time to do/see everything.
We highly recommend this trip as it is a good value for money.

very reasonably priced considering if you were to visit alone you would queue for 3+ hours because of the car parking availability. tour guide was lovely and informative albeit a little quiet so if you are hard of hearing make sure to sit near the front. a great trip to see the volcanoes that you won’t see anywhere else!

The tour itself was great. Micheal our guide was funny, informative and friendly. We went for the camel ride add on for €11 each, they take you up around the base of a volcano, leading to great pictures and the camels seem well cared for and looked healthy.
The demonstrations onto of the volcano were great, and the way they cooked the food over the heat from the mountain was impressive.
The wine tasting was a tiny serving but very yummy, we bought a bottle for €12, and I believe there was also beer and cheese available, and a nice gift shop to browse.
My only slight criticism was the large amount of travelling before and after the actual tour stops due to the amount of pick ups and drop offs and the distances between, for over 150 people. We spent over 2.5 hours of the 5 hour tour just driving, so be prepared for this.
My only feedback for the tour guys would be to maybe have smaller coaches with less pick up/drop offs, but other than that we have a great time and we are glad we did this tour, just be prepared for the amount of time spent travelling all over the South of the island before and after the tour.

The tour itself was very interesting, all the volcanic landscape, witnessing the effects of the heat below the surface, with jets of steam etc. If you are expecting a proper wine tasting on the way back though, you will be disappointed - all you get is a thimble-sized amount of one of two wines, just as you stand around! However, the highlight of our Timanfaya tour was the camel ride, which costs 11 euro per person. The tour bus was immaculate and the guide and driver very good. Beware, though, if you doddle around after the demos and the slot for your bus to leave comes up, they will go without you, as happened to us, so we missed the crater tour and had to wait at the barrier for half an hour for the bus to come back through, waving frantically to make sure it stopped for us! It's so busy and there can be a long queue to get to the action but bus tours get priority in turn.

We decided to have a tour round whilst we were staying in Lanzarote for the week and liked the sound of the Lanzarote Volcano South tour, so booked to go on it.
We were picked up from our hotel and were glad we went on this tour as there was certainly lots to see as Timanfaya had an amazing landscape. Our first stop after a quick coach changeover was at El Golfo the emerald green lake which was quite spectacular then we were back on the coach to go to the actual volcano park where at the next stop we saw three demonstrations showing the heat that the volcano generates then we were back on the coach for a drive through the park with all its twisty turns and interesting landscape.
Next stop was for camel rides, which are optional, which we did not really fancy, so we wandered round and went in the small museum at the site and read about the history of the place.
Note its better to go on a tour like this than to drive to Timanfaya as cars queue up for ages to whereas the tours just go straight through.
We then had a lunch stop which was an ok buffet style lunch.
The most pointless thing was the wine tasting stop which was just a very small glass of wine, so they could have removed this part of the tour and added the time onto one of the other places. It was mainly a gift shop stop really.

Bus picked us up on time. The tour guide (don't remember her name) was very friendly and explained everything and every place we went . Everything was rushed but that was the short half day tour as per schedule. Oscar the driver was very professional and you could feel safe when he was driving through volcanic landscape . We enjoyed the tour and recommend it . Thank you.

This was a brilliant family trip. We are a family of 5, including 12,10 and 6 year old. We enjoyed it so much.
If you had to push me on the negative- the bus collecting us from the hotel in the morning was about 10 minutes late!
The tour guide on the bus was brilliant with all her local stories.
There was about 1-2hour queue for cars getting into volcano park but we skipped all these. The bus tour up around volcanos was magic which I don’t think cars can go on (I’m not 100% sure of this tho) We stopped in a local town for 40mins for snacks. So enjoyable. Wine tasting was short quick stop - wasn’t too much going on here but nice souvenir shop
Big thing on holidays is to keep kids entertained and they all gave thumbs up. We spent just the right amount of time in between stops and bus journeys was short enough in between stops
