We have been today and thoroughly enjoyed every minute being as I've not ridden in along time, even my children enjoyed it too, to my suprise as they've never got on a horse before!! The girls were very friendly and extremely good at giving advice to the novice's, the horses are well kept, the views are spectacular and I would highly recommend this trip to anyone, thanks so much for making me realise..I do need to get back in the saddle!! Went on a 1 hour ride at 1pm, including transfers. 2 adults (me and my daughter, who both have horses at home) took a friend's 7 year old daughter for her first riding experience. Transfer was punctual, staff were friendly, and the horses were clearly very well looked after - deep shavings beds with dinner and lovely green hay after the ride. The stables were really tidy and cool for the horses, despite the heat. We got the chance to buy treats for the horses after, and a shoe with the horses name on for our little girl. She had an absolutely amazing time, and is coming to our horses when we get home! Really good value for money. Just to comment on some negatives from other reviews - yes the path is rocky and sometimes the horses stumble, but you are on a volcanic island so it is to be expected. The horses are used to it and it doesn't hurt them. Finally, yes some are a little lean, but I imagine it is very difficult to keep weight on horses that are getting older in this climate. They all had lots of good quality food, and I noticed the horse in front of mine had corrective shoes (which are quite expensive) showing that they receive good vet and farrier care. Very much recommended.

I like Divano. It was a really sweet horse. we drove through the mountains and it was very beautiful. The people took it easy for the people who had never been on a horse before. the horses looked well cared for, the people handled the horses correctly. the horses were very well behaved.

Horse Riding May 2024 The horse was old had hardly any teeth and was tired they did not look in best condition (skinny) this was in hot gran canaria island. I feel they are not the best but not the worst it could of been so much worse. At the beginning of the ride before we mounted we got a pep talk 👄 they explained how to use the REINS very simply and how to kick them on, they explained nothing else did not even welcome us or seem happy to see us. They asked if we ridden before which I had in the past and this was my first riding experience in several years it was disappointing though the scenery was lovely very desert like adventure. My husband was was told to whip his horse because it would not go, hungry I would guess, even though he was a complete beginner that was his first taste of the sport. Fortunately he was not put off. He felt sorry for these horses too 😢 over worked and under fed shame really as it could be a special place with happy healthy horses. Over all my score is 2 out of 5 poor rating they could improve by treating their horses better and giving you a bottle of water it's not much to ask on a hot day.

We just thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had not ridden horses before so we needed good instructions which we got. The guides were very good, nothing was rushed and it all just ‘worked’

I booked this as a surprise for my wife. She used to ride horses all the time but then life got in the way. As such, this was a lovely gift for her whilst we were on holiday (her words, not mine). Collection to and from our hotel in San Agustin was on time and simple. The transfer was nice, with some lovely views of local towns on the way to the stables. At the stables, everyone was introduced to their horses and, where necessary, given a few tips on horse-riding. The group consisted of highly experienced, current riders to absolute beginners and right across the age spectrum. The group went out for just under an hour and had a wonderful, calm walk in the sunshine. My wife’s horse was called Jara and she was a sweety. My wife loved her time with Jara and there was only one disappointment. When they returned to the stables the horses were immediately taken away (probably due to another group arriving shortly) and so she didn’t get a chance to buy/feed Jara some of the horse snacks that are on offer. That was the only even vaguely negatively negative aspect though as she had a lovely time and recommends this trip to others.

Excellent experience with lovely staff. Pickup and drop off was superb and on time. Horses were friendly and didn't bite me! 🤣

Me and my mother booked this while on holiday. Being my first time on a horse and mum not being on since an accident years ago this was a beautiful experience. The staff were patient and helpful matching everyone up with the right horse and led us on a beautiful hours walk. Also pick up and drop off from accommodation

I had an amazing experience @El Salobre Horse Riding! The horses were not only healthy and well-cared for, but it warmed my heart to learn that some of them were rescues. The staff is exceptional – incredibly nice and attentive. Their genuine care for both the riders and the horses added an extra layer of warmth to the experience. It's clear that they love what they do, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that made the ride even more enjoyable. Kudos to the fantastic team! I highly recommend this company to anyone seeking a positive and ethical horse riding experience.

Gorgeous horses but the terrain is so rocky, we only managed one small trot and one short but very fast canter in 2 hours! This is better for complete beginners as if you are an experienced rider, its quite frustrating not being able to do any more than a walk for 99% of the trek. We were also in a large group of 12 and 10 were total novices. The group isn't split up into ability apart from very small amounts of time on the ride which was disappointing.

Fantastic little leasure ride - my husband and I went to Gran Canria with my parents, and I booked my mum and I for 1 hour trek with these stables. They were brilliant - checking everybody's competency and confidence with horses, taking into account the experience of each individual on the ride, to enable them to assign a suitable horse to the rider, and provide any extra assistance where necessary. The only thing I wish I'd known beforehand is that the saddles have water bottle storage, as it was quite hot riding in the mountains, and I'd left my water bottle with my husband. The young women guiding and assisting were great - speaking Spanish and English as necessary, regularly checking to ensure all riders and horses were doing okay. There were plenty of staff on hand to assist and the yard and stables looked very well maintained, with lots of staff cleaning stalls and refreshing waters whilst we were there; seems to be genuine love and care for the animals! The ride itself was just a leisure walk - which suited my mum as she hadn't ridden in a few years, but she and I both thoroughly enjoyed it and the views were amazing. I would recommend this. If I were to go back, I'd definitely book again, but a longer ride if it was just me going out!

This tour is mainly for children aged 6 - 10 who has never sat on a horse. The description and picture showed a fun tour with riders in mixed formation and promised trout amongst more. The reality is a walk one after each other with sleepy horses. This has nothing to do with riding and more equivalent to the town rides where children get 2 rounds around the town square on a pony.

Overall a really good experience. Our ride leader was lovely, explained well and seemed in control the entire time. I have prior riding experience, my partner does not, and he felt quite happy and safe for the ride. Someone who is less confident than him may have preferred the option for a leader though. Horses were well cared for and happy. Would definitely do again, only slight negative would be perhaps a bit more support for total beginners!

Terrible experience: everyone at the facility was extremely rude, no one could say “hi” and that is very interesting since they are living of our “tourist” money. The smell was horrible, they have not cleaned the equipment since the beginning: flies and dirt everywhere. Horses left at +38•C looked terrible, thin and not happy at all. Also, there is a weight limit, they do not indicate that, but it is and they will not tell you that, but only ignore you until you will go to ask why they are not talking to you, they will tell you that “you will never be able to ride a horse” in a most rude and aggressive manner. This was the worst experience ever, it is not worth your money, believe me. Thank you for ruining my birthday and my husband’s self confidence. As I mentioned it to the girls at the front- I will take this more further
