This museum hosts a wide collection of some of the best artkworks by some of the most important painters of Spanish history, from the middle ages up to the 20th century. This includes paintings by Bécquer, Murillo, Zurbarán, Goya and Velazquez. Thanks to the help of the tour guide you will discover more about the lives of these artists and how their works shaped the art movements of Spain throughout history.

He definitely knew his history and facts, but we expected that— in addition he related stories on a very human level that both entertained us and let us empathize with those historical characters. We learned a lot about the cultural significance of the area. We booked this tour in advance, but late enough to select only a 5 pm tour on the day we wanted to go; that turned out to work in our favor: with the cancellation of the other couple who had also selected this tour, my husband and I had a “private” tour. He was incredibly knowledgable and we learned a lot about the history of Seville on the tour. He also gave us a list of local restaurants he recommends. We ate at La Locanda di Andrea, an Italian Tapas restaurant off the beaten path. It was very small, the food was wonderful, and at 9pm they were turning people away. The paranormal tour gives you a more personal view of some inconspicuous buildings or statues in a small radius of Seville, including some mysterious deaths and possible ghost stories. She included some stories from personal friends’ experiences and had plenty of details to share about each stop. Nothing too scary, but a little creepy.
