- Explorer581089186060 contributionsInformative and delicious your and cooking classWonderful tour and cooking class. We took this tour with our family of four including two kids aged 6 and 10. The tour started with a walk around the market where we visited various stalls and learned about different produce, spices, meats, etc. We then participated in a cooking class where we made several dishes. The pace was perfect. People took turns chopping, grating, frying and the chef explained the cooking technique and traditional origins of the recipes. Although this activity was not specifically geared towards kids, they accommodated them with ease and made it fun. The best part was that the food was delicious! Better than the same meals we had at restaurants.Written October 14, 2024

- andrewp020 contributionsGreat Tour and Cooking Class! Our friend bought us this cooking class and Triana market tour for our honeymoon! The market tour was very informative and we really enjoyed it! The cooking class was phenomenal! We made 3 different dishes (Including Paella) and all were really delicious. The Chef (Leo) also gave great general cooking advice and techniques and I learned how to debone chicken! Because they knew it was our honeymoon they gave us a special dessert which we really appreciated. This was one of the highlights of our honeymoon and we really enjoyed it! They even sent us the recipes so we can make it at home.Written September 8, 2024
- maurabX2276GM0 contributionsYummy Paella cook-up!My 20 year old son and I really enjoyed this cooking experience with the knowledgeable and entertaining chef Pedro, assisted by the lovely Noelia. We got some great cooking tips including the professional way to slice onions and how to hold the knife when cutting the different parts of chicken. The gazpacho, paella and sangria were amazing and Pedro gave a fantastic demonstration of how to cut up a chicken for paella, including which bits to use for stock and which to throw away. We loved it so much we bought the paella pan and apron after! This is definitely worth doing, find time to include this in your Sevilla visit ❤️Written September 4, 2024

We are four Americans, close friends, and the wives among us have cooked and taken cooking classes together for many years. We all were deeply impressed by our session with Taller Andaluz de Cocina! Our chef, Dominic, had excellent English, and excellent teaching skills. We all received useful knife instructions. Discussion of ingredient qualities was useful, and even though two of us have Paella experience through a friend from Valencia, Dominic took us much further, particularly concerning sequence and temperature control tips, especially with seasonings. We also made a fabulous salmorejo soup and spinach-and-beans side dish. Ample provision of sangria, wine and non-alcoholic beverages also didn't hurt! Highly recommended.

We had an amazing experience as we learned to make authentic gazpacho, tapa and paella. It was so engaging for my kids (ages 17 and 19), my husband and myself (I am a trained professional cook with 20 years of experience). Truly one of the high points of our visit to Seville! The food was absolutely delicious, heightened with sangria and the opportunity to meet some other travelers. Highly recommend this experience!!

Fabulous experience not to mention the amazing food and tour of the market. We did the private tour with Leo and I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a great experience, fun time and delicious food. Can’t wait to get the recipes and try them on my friends and family in the US.
If you like food and fun this should be on your must do list.!

We were very happy with our experience. It was just enough cooking, just enough fun and everyone had a great time and even learned a thing or two. The chef was very accommodating as we had two vegetarians, two celiacs, and one super picky kid and everyone was not only accommodated but in a gracious way. I highly recommend this experience in Seville. Especially for Americans not used to eating late, it’s a great way to get in an early dinner and have an evening experience at the same time. Thank you!!!

As a family, we’ve always enjoyed paella. In fact, it’s one of my sons most favourite dishes, along with risotto. So, imagine my surprise that everything I thought I knew about paella turns out to be wrong. Paella should only contain rabbit or chicken and must not contain onions, peas or chorizo. Especially not chorizo, apparently.
We turned up to be met by Dom, who was exceptionally friendly and made us feel entirely comfortable straight away. Over the course of the next 2 1/2 hours he taught us how to make sangria and gazpacho and, of course, paella. My son is almost 13 and loved every second of it. He particularly enjoyed being taught how to bone the chicken… I now need to worry about what he might do with his newly found knife skills…
I’m glad to say that the paella was genuinely the best I’ve ever had. We’ve learnt a huge amount and had great fun doing so. We were contacted the next day and sent the recipe and cooking instructions, and hope to be able to replicate it at home… We’ll see!
All in all, we can’t recommend this experience highly enough. Absolutely brilliant.

My husband and I had a lot of fun doing the Paella Experience at Taller Andaluz. Laura was our chef-teacher and she was excellent, and made it a fun and engaging experience. Her English was also perfect. The food we made was delicious (way better than restaurant paella). This is a great interactive experience and very kid friendly. They also send you the recipes afterwards.

An incredible evening. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time. Leo and Sabrina were tremendous, got everyone involved, laughing and sharing stories. The food was wonderful and we learned so much on the background of the dishes as well. Don't hesitate, book it.

My wife and I attended the paella experience on our last night in Spain. What a grand way to top off a wonderful 2 week trip throughout Spain. Dom was our chef and he was informative and entertaining. I'm so glad we did this experience and I can't wait to try the recipe at home.

We were wandering through the market and saw the Cookery School and just decided to book. So glad we did! It was such fun, Maria our teacher Chef was fantastic, we had a lovely group, a lot of laughs, learnt how to cook true, authentic Spanish Paella, and then best of all, eat it all up! along with Gazpacho and lots of lovely Sangria that we also made. Give it a go, you'll love it!

I have never tasted paella this good, and now I know why. Chef Victor explained to us what a true paella is - and how to make it, of course. The way in which he did this was professional, entertaining and hands on. Plus, he has great knife skills 😉
Go to bar 'Mercado Lonja del Barranco' for a drink afterwards. It has a great terrace with a river view.
