- KeepWalesTidy0 contributionsA lovely evening, great food and great companyWe had a great evening! Despite being competent cooks we learnt new techniques and the history behind these dishes. - Brambleman0 contributionsA fabulous experience. More than expected. What a great experience. A really enjoyable three and a half hours and great value. We firstly had the delightful Dani guiding us around the market with explanations on everything from the different grades of Olive Oil and paprika to Iberico ham . I thought we were just making a paella but actually we started with a cold tomato soup, not gazpacho, followed by a spinach and chick pea dish which didn't sound exciting but was delicious. Finally the paella with options for carnivores like myself as well as my vegetarian wife. Twelve of us in total were all involved in the prep of all dishes and chef Dom was insightful about how to cook, knife skills for boning a chicken and delightfully insistent that this was the original Valencian paella without seafood or chorizo. Accompanied with Sangria whilst we were making it and wine or soft drinks whilst we ate it, the whole group aged 12-50+ had a great time. Finishing off with a lemon ice cream , mint & Cava dessert, I think we all experienced far more than we expected. Great setting in the market, great experiences and company and a thoroughly memorable day. Now I just have to work out if I can create the whole menu at home. I'm off to buy a real Paella dish.Written November 7, 2023
- Misty_d_whitaker0 contributionsHighlight of our tripThis was definitely one of our Spain highlights. Absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The market tour was entertaining and interesting and the meal prep was so fun and interactive. Plus, every dish was delicious and you get a copy of the recipes. Book it!Written October 31, 2023

- Wavejenny140 contributionsBrava!I thoroughly enjoyed this market visit and class on how to make the only correct Paella. The chef was so knowledgeable about the history of the dish and the ingredients. It was very interactive which I appreciated, especially now that I can professionally de-bone a chicken! It was also nice to meet some new people.Written October 2, 2023
- hercules90 contributionsFun time!Excellent presentation! Met new friends! The food was delicious! 5 courses overall. Lots of laughter, and I can't wait to get home to show off our Spanish skills!Written September 26, 2023
- JKW1010 contributionsTop cooking class experience - definitely new skills! This was a wonderful few hours where we not only learnt new cooking skills but learnt more about the history of the dishes and their place in Spanish culture. The evening was brilliantly done with us all doing a bit of the cooking ( don’t think you will all prepare you own dish this is very much a group effort). Laura our chef was just fab, all recipes sent by email after and she also shared recommendations on places to eat in Seville which just added to our trip. Really great time - and bonus was so generous with Sangria- which I also know how to make properly now!!! Definitely highlight of a great long weekend.Written September 9, 2023

- U2407DMsamanthas0 contributionsAwesome cooking class with friendly people in Sevilla, Spain! This was such an amazing cooking class and one of our most fun experiences while in Sevilla. Our instructor, Laura, was very very professional and kind. She comes from a 1 Michelin star restaurant and you can tell she is so passionate about cooking and her work. We are English (from the U.S.) as well as others in our group who were English-speakers from Australia and the UK, and Laura spoke very clearly and fluently and gave us great direction during the class despite being fluent in Spanish as her first language. She made the class fun, exciting, and inclusive for everyone of all levels of experience with cooking able to get involved. everything was timed out very well and we got a nice break for sangria halfway through to get us to the finish line :) The food was amazingly tasty and again Laura made it very easy for us to understand everything that went into the dishes. Overall such an amazing experience and would HIGHLY recommend!!!!!Written August 30, 2023
- Margocarmcooks0 contributionsFun, engaging and authentic! This was a highlight of our vacationWe had an amazing experience as we learned to make authentic gazpacho, tapa and paella. It was so engaging for my kids (ages 17 and 19), my husband and myself (I am a trained professional cook with 20 years of experience). Truly one of the high points of our visit to Seville! The food was absolutely delicious, heightened with sangria and the opportunity to meet some other travelers. Highly recommend this experience!!Written August 21, 2023

Chef Dominic and Daniela were awesome. My sister and I and 10 others learned in a private kitchen couple blocks away from the Marketplace store. The dishes we created were delicious and it was a lot of fun participating in all aspects of cooking them!

We loved our cooking class and market tour! My husband was skeptical since we often pay MORE for more private type tours, but we were in deep trip-planning fatigue -- and all the reviews were so good, that we just booked it -- and we are so happy we did! Admittedly, our class was supposed to have 12 people and 8 people (prepaid!) never showed up, so the class became 4... which felt almost private, but I have to say, I don't think our experience would have been terribly different with the extra people. I have cooked paella many times, but never did I cook it this way! We even had a guy lurking outside the class who watched most of the preparation avidly. Turns out he cooked paella in Colorado for multitudes of special events -- and he was also very impressed with our chef (sorry, can't remember his name, but he is the guy in the main Taller Andaluz photo!). Ana gave us the market tour, which was so fun and informative. As in most places in Portugal, their English was superb!! I didn't realize we would also be cooking a traditional side dish (Chickpeas and Spinach), as well as a cold tomato soup (SALMOREJO) -- both were excellent!! We had a great trip all around Portugal and Spain and I have to say, this class ranked right up there for me as a favorite.

The market Tour was very Interesting and Anna told it in a fun way.
They explained the steps of the recipe very well and there was enough room for questions. However, I expected that we could add our the spices on our own, so we know what the right amount is. Nevertheless, the food was delicious and we really enjoyed it!

I had such a fun experience in the cooking class! We started with a tour of the Triana market to introduce us to the ingredients we would be using throughout the cooking class. Ana was a great, friendly guide and had so much knowledge about everything. Then we walked along the river to the kitchen where we met Leo, the chef who taught us everything we needed to know about the 3 dishes we made that day. Everyone was so friendly and I left with a full belly of delicious food and drinks.

The cooking class was really special! We made paella, gazpacho, spinach and chickpeas, and had sangria! They were able to accommodate me with vegetarian paella (or, "rice with things").
The hosts were lovely, personable, and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and it was the best sangria I've ever had!
The tour around the market was great as well, I learnt so much. Everyone was so friendly and made me feel welcome as a solo traveller.
