About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- I5212NHchristiana0 contributionsFood, fun, great foodWow.WOW. We turned up and unknowingly to me, and I booked, it was a personal tour. So just 2 of us and the guild. She took us to all her favourite hot spots in Seville. These restaurants were all off the beaten track and were the locals eat. The guild has lived and worked in Seville for 9 years, so knew the area very well. We tried food we would never of ordered off a menu. We like and know food but some of the tapas we tried was unreal. This was an AMAZING tour. 100% book this when you come. The guild was lovely and friendy .. a must for food lovers 😋Written October 3, 2024

- Mary Nell B0 contributionsFun day trip from SevillaOscar picked the four of us up in Sevilla and took us to Ronda via two other white villages where he encouraged us to take our time and gave us some history. He was happy to answer any questions we had and never rushed us. He was very knowledgeable. Ronda has such an interesting history! The bridge is beautiful! He was also willing to help us with translation at the shops there. A great trip!Written October 2, 2024
- christophersT8583NH0 contributionsTroia to SevillaSeamless transportation for 4 adults and all luggage in a clean and comfortable van from Tróia, Portugal to Sevilla, Spain with a wine tour and tasting stop at Quinta da Tor Winery ( paid separately) in Algarve and a quick stop in Monte Gordo along the coast. Our driver, Rui, was superb, safe and extremely accommodating. Communication by email from the USA with Mahsa was clear and she delivered on every request as we knew what we wanted to do along the journey - she lived up to her name. It wasn’t cheap, but less expensive than flying while avoiding all that hassle. So, it was WELL worth it with so much value added to our travel experience. Thank you so much, Mahsa and Rui!!Written October 1, 2024
- xiaofanw7840 contributionsGreat private tour, thanks to LunaLuna was absolutely fantastic! Her deep knowledge and passion truly brought the tour to life. She shared both the historical and mythological sides of Seville’s story, making the experience not only informative but also engaging and memorable. Luna also made sure to point out great spots for photos, which was much appreciated. Even though we spent extra time at Plaza de España, ending the tour 20 minutes late, she never rushed us and allowed us to fully enjoy the moment. Her dedication and enthusiasm made the tour unforgettable!Written September 29, 2024
- ralphp51500 contributionsA must-do tour! This excursion is a must if you are visiting the Sevilla area!! Highly recommend! It's roughly a two hour drive from Sevilla. The line through passport control moved quickly for a Saturday and then we met our tour guide, Jerome, who explained the history and our visit to the top of the Rock of Gibraltar. Very worthwhile trip!Written September 23, 2024
- Dishie0 contributionsTop transfer! We booked Daytrip for our private transfer from Seville to Malaga. Lovely, comfortable car and excellent driver. We had originally planned on a stop in Ronda, but since our tour group decided to add Ronda to our itinerary, we chose to stop at Sentinel de Las Bodegas for a visit. We can not say enough about our wonderful driver, Luis. He took excellent care of us the entire trip. He took us to the top of the village of Zarhara for photos before continuing on to the cave villages. There he dropped us off and picked us up when we were ready to continue to Malaga. When we arrived at our AirBnB in Malaga, we had a problem with entering the building, so Luis called our contact for us and was able to solve the problem. He also helped us with getting our luggage to our apartment and waited until we were able to go in the apartment. We thank him for such excellent care and we can highly recommend this service.Written September 22, 2024
- capturedtimebooks0 contributionsHidden GemsThe tour was lovely. Our guide Robert was friendly, knowledgeable and communicative. He reached out in advance and was on time. He showed us several spots that we would never have known existed without his guidance and shared bits of local information that was very helpful.Written September 21, 2024
- Relax101561897600 contributionsGreat fun taking ferry to Tangier from Tarifa and backGreat experience taking the ferry from Tarifa Spain to Tangier, Morocco and back. No problems or delays, staff and crews on both sides were very efficient. Obviously they move (hundreds of) thousands of passengers on a regular basis. They also had a free bus to Algeciras as part of the package.Written September 21, 2024

- ShubhankarS0 contributionsA relaxed day, that was well spent!Booking and making changes with Not Just a Tourist were a breeze. Mahsa was very responsive. Carlos picked us up from the hotel and drove us to Granada, show us around town, dropped us off at Alhambra and brought us back to the hotel. He was very punctual, professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. Jesus guided us around Alhambra and he was obviously very passionate about the history there. A day very well spent. I would highly recommend it.Written September 19, 2024
- brandonnL9136AD0 contributionsA fantastic experienceWe had a lovely evening of touring the rooftops and out-of-the-way places in Seville. Our guide was personable, informative, and made our tour a delight. After our evening, we came away with plenty of great pictures, some excellent recommendations, and a passel of fond memories. It was a fantastic experience.Written September 19, 2024
- Trudi B0 contributionsGreat Day Trip to CordobaWe had a wonderful day with Oscar as our guide in Cordoba. He was personable, professional, and very knowledgeable about his subject. He took us to a lot of great little places off the beaten path in Cordova. We enjoyed spending out time with him. We also had a wonderful experience with Angel, our guide for the mosque/cathedral. An amazing testament to the ingenuity of both the Moors and the Catholics. .Written September 17, 2024
- jocR5557XF0 contributionsUnforgettable, unmissable experienceWonderful evening arranged by a friendly and efficient company who know exactly the right places to go in Seville. Our guide Constanza was just lovely, and we spent the evening enjoying tapas and flamenco just as the locals do. We felt totally immersed in the culture, passion and life of Seville. We can’t recommend this enough for travellers who want to experience local life and not through a tourist lens. Thank you so much for this unforgettable evening!Written September 13, 2024

The UNESCO sites especially the Mosque was superbOscar from ‘Not just a tourist’ was so interesting talking to us on the drive to Cordoba about life and politics in Spain. His experience as a chef also helped us understand Andalusian food and suggested dishes to sample and restaurants to visit. He took us to the three UNESCO sites in Cordoba- the unique Patio homes, the Jewish synagogue and the piece the resistance- the Mosque/churchWritten September 10, 2024

Very upset with this company and would advise against using them in the future. Everything started out great during the booking process but then the Coronavirus hit and we needed to cancel OR reschedule for an unknown future date. This situation is obviously out of our control, so we emailed our agent about cancelling or delaying our excursions. We were told that we would get less than a 50% refund OR we could reschedule in the future and pay $100 Euros for EACH excursion to rebook (but they couldn't guarantee availability). They took days to respond to our polite emails asking for better but ultimately they did nothing. Overall, we spent close to $3,500 USD on excursions we cannot attend and they offered us a mere $1,000 USD in return. The reason: "they already booked drivers." This is RIDICULOUS as the tours/excursions are 1-2 weeks out! I
It is absolutely unconscionable that while the rest of the travel industry is striving to contain the virus by advising against travel, this company is operating with their heads in the sand with no consideration for their future clientele. By acting as if this is business as usual, this company is demonstrating that they not only have no understanding of the situation, but frankly, they just don't care.

Hi Alison,
We are truly sorry to learn about your disappointment with us due to the Covid-19 crisis. As you well know Covid-19 interrupted our lives all around the world to a degree that nobody had ever experienced before being the travel sector the most devastated one. As a small company, we tried to do our best to protect our clients as well as make sure that our company, our small and fragile team, as well as our providers, can survive in these hostile times where there would be no income and a lot of insecurity. I understand fully your frustration with not being able to receive a full refund for something that is out of your control and I am sorry that we could not do better. As explained to you by email the reason is that there are expenses that have been made and would not be refunded to us. All the hotels we work with as well as many of our suppliers have offered us a voucher for prepaid services. We understand that our providers are trying to survive the lockdown and have major problems with their cash flow. The livelihood of many of us is at risk for a long time. For this very reason, we have offered to reschedule your tour for the next 2 years or receive a refund of what could be refunded. I am sure by now and after 3 months of being in this crisis, we all have a better understanding of what is going on and do our best to support and help each other to overcome these tough times together. In Spain gradually we are opening up and we look forward to having you with us and making up for the bad experience you had due to the Covid-19 crisis. Thank you for your understanding and support with this!

This trip was awesome, we were picked up at our hotel in Seville and driven to Tarifa, the driver got the tickets and got us to the front of the line and off we went. In Tangier our guide was waiting at the ferry terminal. Hassan was excellent, part guide, part philosopher, part teacher. He really did a great job giving us a great overview of the history of the region, things we didn't learn with a western education. The old city tour was great and lunch was beautiful on a terrace overlooking the medina. We stayed at Palais Zahia, which was a gorgeous 18 room hotel in the old city. We wandered the city that night and it was enchanting. The next day we were driven to Chefchaouen, and Yousef did another wonderful guided tour of the old city. At the end of the day the driver got us back to Tangier in time for the ferry back to Spain. Would highly recommend this trip, and we both want to go back to Morocco.

We booked directly with NJAT because of all the great reviews. We were not disappointed. We were picked up in Seville and taken to the ferry. By the time we got to the ferry, the ferry ride was cancelled due to high winds. A couple phone calls with NJAT and our driver came back and got us, transported us to another ferry terminal 20 miles east, and got tickets for the next ferry out. Can't blame the weather, but NJAT was very flexible and helpful. NJAT did everything over the phone with the ferry operators and we were able to enjoy the ride with no worries. We arrived in Morocco a few hours later than planned, but Aniss (the English-speaking driver) was there to greet us! We spent a few hours riding and walking around Tangier and then had an amazing Morocco dinner!! The hotel that night was awesome. Our tour guide, Omar, was also awesome. His pace was very good and we covered a lot of ground in 2 days. When we needed the car, Aniss was there. The second night was in Chefchauen (the Blue City) and accomodations were again top-notch. Aniss and Omar were available on-time. They got us back to the ferry in plenty of time. The driver in Tangier was waiting for us and get us back to our hotel in Seville comfortably. Morocco is a beautiful and cultural country. I would recommend this trip to anyone that wants to see the northern parts of Africa. This tour is great for all ages! Oh yeah, did I mention that Omar was AWESOME!!!

I actually worked directly with Not Just A Tourist team to do a 3 day 2 night trip in Morocco from Seville. I did Tangier, Chefchaouen, and Asilah. I decided to work with them since I was a solo female traveler and I felt uncomfortable going to Morocco without any knowledge of what the environment would be like for me.
I contacted NJaT directly and Mahsa and let her know I’d be traveling alone and would like to have 3 days in Morocco at the end of November. She was great in coordinating all the different places and making sure that I did not worry about a thing.
Day 1 - Juanlu, my driver picked me up in Seville by my hotel
He was fantastic - he only spoke Spanish and I barely can. It did not stop us from communicating through Google Translate and he told me all about the areas that we were driving through on our way to Tarifa. He also made sure I got my ferry tickets and made sure that I got on the ferry safely.
Arriving to Morocco I met my guide - Abdelhak. Let me tell you, he has such a deep understanding of Morocco and its histories. I had such a great time hanging out with him for the past 3 days. He took me around Tangier, showed me more than the itinerary and explained with such great detail about the history and the culture of each area. Also the camel ride was excellent as Abdel took awesome videos and pictures of the moment.
Day 2 - Abdel and our driver took me to Chefchaouen. That city was one of the most beautiful cities I have ever been to. Truly Abel was such a gem and let me drag him up to the top of a hike while telling me all about the rich life around us. In addition he took the best pictures of me which obviously made its way onto instagram. (BTW - I’ve been traveling solo for 2 weeks prior so having someone help take pictures of me was gold!) At the end of the night he helped get me a massage reservation at a local hammam even though the one in my hotel was fully booked! It was awesome, he made sure I got back to my hotel safely at night.
Day 3 - We all headed to Asilah for the final day in in Morocco. It was another city that was so beautiful. I lucked out since it was off season and during a weekday so the city was completely empty. Continued to just have a blast walking through the city, taking in the sights and smells. The stray cats were so photogenic. We wrapped up and was taken back to the ferry. Abdel made sure I had company until my ferry ride back to Tarifa and made sure I got back in one piece. Being able to hang out with Abel for 3 days and have him show me around to amazing spots, as well as adjust the itinerary to the things that I had more interest in was so amazing.
Juanlu - the driver in Spain picked me up from the station and drove me back to Sevilla super late through such a heavy rainfall. I felt perfectly safe with his driving and we made it through and he made sure I was dropped off at my hotel safely since we got back around 11:30 pm at night.
Also to note - my driver in Morocco was wonderful. He always made sure I was comfortable, and I always felt safe when he drove (even when the traffic was nuts!).
I highly recommend working with Not Just a Tourist and Abdelhak for a trip to Morocco. I believe it was worth every penny considering I had such a blast for 3 full days.
