About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- KatarinaJones0 contributionsEasy moneyWhen we got to the meeting place, the local tour operator had absolutely no record of my Tripadvisor booking. Despite my being sent a confirmation, a mobile ticket, and having paid for it. My daughter speaks Spanish, and said that local tour operator confirmed that is very common for Viator to do this kind of thing. I have requested a refund. They really had a nerve, to send me the e mail to say that someone was waiting for us!! Well, I have just read reviews from other people, how sad. But, big question for me is, why Tripadvisor still has Viator on their website booking tours?Written January 7, 2024
- Catherine F0 contributionsTripadvisor did not send my booking to local tour operator but still charged me! We missed the Alcazar because of thisWhen we got to the meeting place, the local tour operator had absolutely no record of my Tripadvisor booking. Despite my being sent a confirmation, a mobile ticket, and having paid for it. So, therefore, my family and I missed out on our tour of the Alcazar, and nothing else was available during our visit. Will never be using Tripadvisor again.Written January 2, 2024

- R3026WOdanielw0 contributionsPrivate guided tour of Seville and Alcazar round trip from Cadiz. My wife and I booked a private guided tour of Seville and Alcazar round trip from Cadiz. This tour was on our trip to the Iberian Peninsula. On that trip we took many tours. It has to be said that the one arranged by Feel The City was not as expected. When we compare it to our other tours, it did not seem like a tour at all but only a taxi ride with an Alcazar tour. While our taxi driver tried her best, her English was poor. What explanations we received in English were playbacks on her cell phone. The taxi was small and cramped. We received little to no tour type information on the way to or from Seville. The gentleman in the other taxi (we were actually a group of six rather than a private tour) seemed to be the organizer on the Cadiz end. His English was less than our driver. Things seemed particularly poorly organized from start to finish. At the Alcazar, for example, nobody knew where to meet, who had the tickets or how to handle the entry. I would encourage Feel The City Tours, if this is a line of business they wish to pursue, to consider telling folks they don’t offer a tour like this rather than put their reputation in danger with a terrible result. The service we received left us feeling like we had totally wasted 590€. It was both the most expensive of the eleven tours we purchased on our trip and, by far, the worst experience.Written November 14, 2023
- Coastal8226260 contributionsDon’t Book With Feel The City ToursI will never book with Feel the city again. I paid taxi fair to get to my meeting point only to be told the tour wasn’t going to go because there were only 2 of us. I wasted not only my money on the taxi but my precious vacation time as well. Feel the City had all my contact information and didn’t have the professional courtesy to contact me by any means a day ahead to tell me my tour was canceled. They said they would reimburse my fees for the tour. We’ll see how that goes. I had to pay out another taxi fee to get back to my hotel. They said they couldn’t refund my taxi fees. BUYER BEWARE of FEEL THE CITY TOURS!!Written November 2, 2023
- 684barbr0 contributionsLiked the Skip-the-Line for this; Alcazar is stunningGetting into the Alcazar in a separate lineup with a tour made paying for the tour worth it. I enjoyed having a guide walk through and explain what I was looking at (and even showing the scenes in Game of Thrones as filmed in the Alcazar on her phone), and then being able to stay and walk through again at my own pace.Written October 28, 2023
- Trip6801340 contributionsA Scam - Theft in my Book1 star is too much. Like others here, I paid my money but got no tickets as apparently I hadn't filled in a form which I did. I thought I was being scammed as I couldn't get in touch with anyone, our passport numbers had been taken, as had about 118 Euros - that money went to a bank account in Wilmington, USA. I had emails giving a code for the audio tour and one saying tickets would be with me 24 hours before the tour. When the tickets didn't materialise, I tried emailing and phoning. My hotel told me that the phone numbers weren't Spanish and were also concerned I'd been scammed. When we got to the palace I was told they could see my booking but as I hadn't filled in the form (I had) my friends and I couldn't get in. They were however, happy to keep our money. I thought I was booking with Walker Tours but couldn't find them on the website. When I got home I started emailing Walker Tours to get my money back and received replies from Monumentos Feel the City - they seem to do everything they can to hide who they are and make it difficult for people to complain. I am obviously not alone with this experience. If the Real Alcazar want to please their visitors, they need to take control of the ticket system. This is a scam - not technically but a scam that takes money from people but doesn't deliver the goods.Written October 19, 2023
- 992kimberlyw0 contributionsEnlightened tour about Jewish culture and contributionsSarah was a very pleasant guide. Prompt, courteous , warm and enthusiastic. Moderately mix of historical context and urban legend. Kept what could be subject matter from becoming too heavy. In hindsight, scheduling for 1st or 2nd day would have been more beneficial. Easy to find starting point. A circular route would've covered more ground than backtracking. Thanks for tips on Blanca Noche, Sarah!Written October 7, 2023
- saralQ7125IY0 contributionsExcellent tourApart from a very confusing start concerning the actual meeting place for the start of the tour (outside the tourist info) the tour was excellent. Our guide was very good, amusing and knowledgeable. The cathedral is incredible and you can also climb La Giralda - the tower if you wish. Book in advance as it saves queues. Highly recommended.Written October 6, 2023

When we (2 adults, 2 children) paid US$170 (excluding the entrance fees to BOTH attractions) for the tour of both sites. For that price, we assumed we'd have a semi-private/private guide for 3 hours. Instead, we were in a group of 15-20 with very little interaction with the tour guide. For this price and what you get, you're better off going at it alone, and renting an audio guide. In fairness, the guides were extremely knowledgeable and shared some good stories.

First of all we are glad that we were chosen as the company to carry out the Tour.
For the price that you are commenting that I pay for the Tour, we deduct that I carry out the visit at the end of December or first of January, in that moment the price of the Tour not only are the guides that as you say are good and with a lot of formation, but you paid availability for the monument that was exhausted until January 9. And a Skip the line, minimum 3 hours.
I am sorry that this is your perception after all that was offered in that tour, because it was not only the ticket and the tour, but a sum of complements that is what causes the tour had that price, if you buy now the price of the tour is much lower, because like airplane tickets, hotels, you not only pay a service, but an early, high, medium or low, an almost impossible availability, the study and training of people who are official guides and have applied years of his life to train.
We really appreciate your opinion and I hope you understand that the price did not only include two of the most important monuments in Spain, but many other services to be valued.

Guide never showed up and after calling they offered no explanation. They had my email from previous communication but never bothered to try and reschedule or anything. The guide just never showed up. They said they would refund the money and I've not seen it 4 weeks out. I would not trust this co and go with another tour

Sevilla tour was amazing and it exceeded my expectations as a “free tour” organized by my hostel.
Jordan were very knowledgeable and easygoing guide. He knows a-lot about Seville which helped to make a remarkable tour. Many thanks for the tour.

We did the free walking tour with Alvaro yesterday. Amazing guide and great insights.
Booked to do the Cathedral/Alcazar tour today
1 The leaflet said 20 Euro for skip the line tickets and guided tour
2 When we booked the manager drew a line through the 20 and said it was 26 Euro each
3 it wasn’t very clear that we would also have to pay admission on top when we turned up. You have to read carefully for that to be clear.
4 we turned up today it’s two separate tours. Nowhere did it say that was another Euro each for headsets for EACH tour
The guides - Alvaro, Theresa and Guadeloupe were brilliant. Knowledgeable and helpful. Well worth the money and five stars.
The ambiguity about money slowed everything down as every customer challenged that they did it understand. Slightly distasteful and money grabbing merits only one star.
We have given a 4* rating but be honest about money Feel the City. Please.

We booked a skip-the-line guided tour of the Catedral of Seville and the Alcazar through this tour operator. Due to high demand, we did the Catedral tour on one day and the Alcazar tour the next day. Catedral tour went smoothly, skipped the line, the guide Leena was engaging and shared relevant info. The next day for the Alcazar tour we waited in line with our tour group for 1 hour while other tour groups and those with advance tickets walked right in. Tour guide said it was an error with Alcazar’s ticket system but as we saw more and more tour groups from other tour operators walking in, it became clear that Feel the City messed up. We paid over 50 euros to skip the line for this tour and ended up wasting our money. No refund was offered to any of us, though many of us complained. Do not book this tour.

Started off not too clever when I went to book a 16 euro tour combination actually turned out not to be the 64 euro for 2 people 2 tours but closer too 100 euro not forgetting the extra euro each for head sets twice as the groups were so big, as they cancelled the earlier tour and sent text asking me to switch that's not surprising.
However actually thoroughly enjoyed both tours Maria in Alcazar and Vicki in Cathedral, really good Maria spoke very quickly but still good Saw some poor review about Vicki previously but she was excellent she did call the English the enemy at one point but she was right we were no snowflakes on our tour, recommend both just wish prices were as advertised makes it far more palatable

Thank you very much for your opinion, The Euro of Whispper is obligatory for the monument, it is not something of our company, and it is only necessary when the quotas are superior to 8 people, reason why it is not always obligatory. But it is a matter of the monuments, not of our company.
On the other hand thank you for enjoying our guides and that you love the Tour, for us that is the most important thing.

Good "free" walking tour suckered me in; purchased tours were poor. Do not pay money for these tours
Apr 2019 • Couples
We are a young, well traveled retired couple. We were in Seville for 6 nights just prior to Easter Sunday. We had arranged in advance a tour to Granada but did not prebook tours in Seville. Our first morning, we joined in the 'free' Feel the City Tour. The 'free' tour guide was good and engaging. His English was good and he interacted well with the group. I immediately noticed some hard selling of other tours but reasoned that the tour company has to make money in some way. During the 'free' tour we walked past all the long ticket lines with the guide commenting the only way to get tickets would be to skip the line and that during the break we could purchase tours. We had a prearranged break and were met by the Feel the City Tour team selling other tours. Having seen the ticket and then entry lines for the Cathedral and Alcazar, we decided to purchase tours which were very pricey. The Cathedral tour for 2 was 55 euros and the Alcanzar tour for 2 was 64.50 euros. We rationalized it was worth it assuming the tour guide was at least as good as the free walking tour guide. The Cathedral guide, Pablo was poor. He did not speak good English, made little effort to relate, did not have a stick or hat to use so that during a very crowded time the group could keep up with him, and worst of all, did not use directional words such as right, left, behind you, in front of you, etc. Instead, he said for example, over there (sometimes not even pointing). The information shared was not historical or interesting. Rather the focus was on trite, innuendo and gossip. We were very disappointed. The Real Alcazar tour guide (2:45 pm on Tuesday, 4/16) spoke good English, engaged with the group, made a good effort to keep track of the group and focused more on the history and construction (than the first guide). However she too got carried away with stories of intrigue and gossip. Two guides told the supposed story about a nun who burned herself with hot oil rather than submit to Pedro the Cruel. This story needs to be removed from the script. Our advice is take the free walking tour, tip the guide and save your money for qualified local tour guides who can help you appreciate the significant history of Seville.

My husband and I normally do tours all over Europe and the US, and this one was certainly ones of the worst tours we’ve ever done. The guide was sarcastic and with no respect what so ever to history and religion. We were so sad and upset to have had this experience in such a beautiful place as Sevilla. I don’t recall the guide’s name, but she’s a young brunette lady local from Sevilla.

My fiancé and I did this tour in July. I would definitely recommend it! We really enjoyed it!
Pablo was our tour guide. He’s from Sevilla, so he has answers to a lot of questions about local culture in addition to the Catedral and the Alcazar. He’s super adorable and really great.
Just a note, even though this tour clearly states in multiple places, that admission to the Cathedral and Alcazar are NOT included (I think they were 9,00€ for Catedral and 12,00€ for Alcazar) we of course had a person getting upset with the poor tour guides about price. Just keep in mind, you WILL have to pay admission to the monuments as well. The company takes care of purchasing your tickets for you. You just pay them cash (they Do have change if you don’t have exact) or credit card at the meet up spot and they take care of everything.
This was my second time in Sevilla, and the last time I had to wait in line for almost 2 hours in the heat to get into the Alcazar. This tour allows you to skip the line and get right in. Worth it right there alone! However, the tour is really great too. You get a lot of information and history that you wouldn’t get just by wandering around the monuments yourself. Pablo gives you a really interesting and in depth discussion of the history, politics and religion. I For sure recommend this tour!
