About
Do not miss this opportunity to visit a piece of the UK in southern Spain on this day trip from Seville to Gibraltar. The territory of Gibraltar reaches only 6.8 km2 out into the Strait of Gibraltar. This peninsula is home to the rock of gibraltar which is not only a spectacular natural marval but also holds a large amount of history. Having been fought over for centuries witness first hand the collision of cultures embedded in the rock. Also, see the very friendly macaques (monkeys). Take a day to experience this amazing place and make sure to look out into the strait, you might be able to see Africa!

I’ll start with the guide worked really hard on this 12 hour tour. The bus ride was uneventful both ways (most uncomfortable seats, bring a lumbar support if possible- I stashed my backpack behind my back for support). But once in Gibraltar, it was chaotic. Lunch ran over (no fault of the tour operator), but it was unclear where we were going to meet the guide for trip up on the rock. It was a lot of walking, backtracking, & calls by the guide to find out where we needed to be. I give kudos to the guide- she was determined. She kept a large group together, crossing roads safely (even standing out in the street to stop cars for us all to cross) & we eventually found the van operator to go to up the rock.
The trip on the rock was worth the confusion & lots of walking (I got in 15k steps, prob 10K in Gibraltar alone). St. Michael’s cave, the monkeys, the view- all worth it!! Be prepared for a long day & definitely wear comfortable shoes.

We were picked up in Seville and taken to Gibraltar with a minivan. The trip took about 2.5 hours. After arriving and crossing the border we walked to the center of Gibraltar where we met our taxi driver/guide. He showed us the main sights on the Rock. In the afternoon we had 2 hours freetime to have lunch and walk in the center. We got back to Seville in the evening at about 7.30. The trip was more than we imagined, our guide was nice, highly recommended!!!

I joined the day trip to Gibraltar with the tour guide, Catherine. I loved the tour and her way of sharing stories. What I loved most was the time I spent with the monkeys. I wish we had more time with them as I love observing their behavior. :D The cave is also wonderful, and the unique lights make it magical. I would like more time in the cave too. :D

We booked a tour to Gibraltar at a significant cost for a family of four with young kids. The day before this tour operator messaged us saying they had to change the start time and leave much earlier from a different meeting point, which was all very inconvenient. They did not tell us (1) that they had transferred us to another company, (2) that they had given us the wrong meeting spot, (3) that they had not given the new company our current contact information. We ultimately pieced this all together ourselves in the morning with a madcap last minute race in a taxi to the new spot with two young kids in tow. I sent a note to them on WhatsApp noting what had happened. No response. And we saw other groups from this company in Gibraltar — so maybe they just didn’t have a bus full and so cancelled their own tour. There are plenty of your operators in Seville. I would not use this one ever again.

We primarily chose to do a tour to Gibraltar so that we could avoid having to worry about travelling there, getting around, and pre-planning anything. However, one should know, like we did, that when going on a tour, you sacrifice some level of freedom to stay longer at certain places. While of course we would have liked more time at each stop, not having to worry about the travel to and from Seville, it was worth it for us. Petra was very helpful and kind. The tour operators were extremely responsive in scheduling a pick-up location for us.

We met up with the others on the trip at the Tour office to meet with our guide Pedro. Pedro was nice and stayed with us the entire trip even though he could not work in Gibraltar. This was helpful as you could ask him questions or recommendations for your free time. Our Gibraltar tour guide, Daniel, was not only knowledgeable but also humorous throughout the tour. I will say most people on the tours want to spend more time at certain places but because you're on a tour, that's not possible. You have to stay on time to get to the different spots and while people complain, it should be understood by everyone.

I will say the cave is a fun experience but the time with the monkeys is what everyone desires. Don't skip the cave but you can breeze through it in order to get more time with the monkeys. There are also several stops up on the rock so if you're wary of heights, please be forewarned. Be prepared to walk as well as your exit from Gibraltar begins within the city center, through the air strip, and back through passport control to Spain.

One last thing about currency, just use your credit card as it's easier just to have your credit card company give you the better exchange rate.

Overall, great trip that was well worth the experience.

Our day trip from Seville to Gibraltar was well worth the time and money. Our group consisted of 7 adults plus Pablo, our excellent tour guide. The small size of the group was a very pleasant surprise. The tour was a good mix of information, sights to experience and free time. The infamous tail less monkeys were very entertaining. The tour was fun, well organized, and didn't feel rushed. Pablo was personable, informative and patiently answered questions. My one criticism is that it was difficult to hear him in the vehicle itself as he gave information on the drive to Gibraltar. Some type of microphone would have really enhanced the trip. Luckily, I was in the front and so it wasn't an issue for me, however I heard a number of comments from those in the group who sat in the backseats. This would be an eady fix and I hope the company does so.

Whilst driving ourselves around Spain we decided we would do a tour to see Gibraltar, this made it so simple for us and having a super knowledgeable guide in Javier was fantastic. To find out most of the land below the rock is reclaimed, amazing. Visiting Europa Point and St Michael's caves was fantastic and free time in the town was good too. And the 'surprise for being good'... visiting one of the white towns on the return journey was a lovely surprise. Would highly recommend d this tour. Thanks to our our new familia Javier.

My small travel group (2 adults, 14 year old son) got picked up from our hotel within 10 minutes of the promised time. Our friendly guide Enrique introduced himself and ushered us to the van. We were the last ones to be picked up, as the passenger van already had a couple other groups in it. We loaded in and were off to Gibraltar. It was about a 2 hour drive through the beautiful Spanish countryside. We made 1 stop for a bathroom/snack break on the way. We arrived just across the border from Gibraltar and had to wait for traffic to move a bit before we could get to the car park. From the car park, we walked as a group across the border and through the passport control. Immediately on the other side of the border, a taxi guide van was waiting for us to take us on our tour. This was much much much more efficient than waiting in traffic to cross the border and we were thankful that this transfer was arranged so that our time in Gibraltar would be maximized. Our tour guide/driver in Gibraltar was Juan Carlos, who drove, talked, and joked with us for the duration of the tour around the Rock. We stopped at the pillars of Hercules, then on to St Michaels Cave (self guided tour). Then up to a huge gun/battery lookout -- the weather was amazingly clear and we could see Africa, the Mediterranean and Atlantic. Absolutely gorgeous. Then it was on to a stop for some more views on the east side, looking straight down to the resort below, and to see the monkeys. Juan Carlos had the monkeys doing tricks and jumping on/off the van. The final stop on the rock was at the Siege Tunnels, where we had about 20 minutes to explore. Then, down to the town for lunch and to explore the town on our own. We had about 2 hours for that which was the perfect amount of time. Once our group met up, we headed back across the border which was only about a 10 minute walk. We did have to wait to cross the runway as a plane was landing. Then back into the van to drive back to Seville.

I gave this review 4 stars because the tour and logistics were very smooth, well coordinated and efficient. We felt we had sufficient time at each tour stop and our guide was entertaining and informative. Communication was good, we always knew what was going on, what to expect, etc. One thing that could be improved -- we traveled in a 9 person van and there were 9 total people -- which required 3 people in front which was a very tight fit. 8 people would have been more comfortable.

I would definitely recommend this tour and this tour guide company!
