What a waste of money
Our guide told us absolutely nothing about the people that lived in the Alcazar, their lives, their intrigues and all the goings-on that must’ve made it such a fascinating place for many centuries. He would always focus on tiny details of the architecture or a slight sign of Christian, Jewish or Islamic imagery in the tiling. To be honest, I wish we had gone on our own with just a guidebook

We are sorry that this has been your experience, we would like to know more about the guide who made the Tour to know what happened. We find it strange that it was like that, because in our tours we usually talk about the Spanish Royal family and the inhabitants of the monument as well as the reform that each of them made. That's why we would like to know who was the guide or what time and exact day of your tour to inform us, because we find this criticism rare for what you tell us. Thank you very much.

A disorganized scam
Dec 2019 • Friends
If I could give negative stars to an experience I would, and I recommend TripAdvisor remove “Feel the City” from its website. The ticket clearly said that the price included admission and entry. However, when we arrived, the person in charge demanded I pay again for entry. When I showed her the ticket which said it included entry she just said the price was for them to purchase the ticket but I would still need to pay. I paid again as I wanted to see the Alcazar.

The guide was decent and interesting. However, I would definitely avoid Feel the City. I contacted them and did not get a reply.

If any enterprising reporter would like to do a good story on fleecing tourists, Feel the City would be an excellent subject

Don't get scammed, not worth the money to Real Alcazar
Aug 2019
Beware websites that look official but aren't! Make sure you read the fine print! (The REAL official website will have a pop up window that tells you it is official.) Anyway, we didn't realise until after we had made the booking that we had not booked on the official website - the ticket we purchased was DOUBLE the price of the official ticket. Granted, it included a tour, but it wasn't what we wanted. Our mistake, so we sucked it up, but we did feel a bit scammed because we felt the website misled us.

To add insult to injury, when we met the tour guide, we were asked to pay one Euro for the audio set. One euro couldn't have been included in the 25 Euros each we already paid? Seriously? That left another bad impression on us. The tickets are already priced high to include a tour, so this level of gouging for one more euro was not cool.

The tour itself was ok, nothing great. We would have been happier just getting the regular official ticket.

Beware if solo traveler
May 2019 • Solo
I experienced terrible customer service with Feel the City Tours. Specifically, for the Real Alcazar of Seville tour. I had originally booked a 9:15 am tour (weeks in advance). I received an email ~24 hours before my tour, while travelling in a different country, stating that my tour had been postponed to 11:15 am. I had scheduled a tour of the Cathedral for 12, leaving me with limited time to view the Alcazar. Having been told the 11:15 am was my ONLY option, and with only 1 full day of sightseeing in Sevilla, I chose to continue with my tour at the new time of 11:15 am. Well, I wasn’t able to enter the Alcazar until 11:30 am AND I went off on my own as I only had approx ~20 min to tour the entire grounds. I noticed several tour groups inside who looked like they had been there for quite some time. No refund was offered (not even for half the expense, since I did not experience the tour). They stated it was “against their cancellation policy.” I would suggest confirming your tour a few days in advance or going with a different company entirely.

Excellent guide and worth it
It was worth having the guide to hear the history of the Alcazar and how it all fitted together. As for the Alcazar itself, not a lot of the original is left and, in comparison, The Alhambra was a better visit and more interesting. But the gardens were amazing tho.

Terribly mismanaged "Skip the line- Alcazar Guided Tour"
Apr 2018 • Friends
We would have been much better off just waiting until 5:00pm when the crowds in line for the Alcazar thin out and still had 2 hours to see it on our own. I purchased tickets for 3 of us for $115 to enter the Alcazar with a guide at 3pm and "skip the line". We met our guide at a nearby fountain with a very large group (about 40 people). It was chaotic as they grouped people by language but the promise of skipping the line to the Alcazar was great because the line was very long and did not seem to be moving. When we advanced to the front as best you can with so many people the security guards announced that they had stopped selling tickets for the day. No problem we thought our guide has tickets- No. "Feel the City Tours" had NOT pre-bought the tickets. It was chaotic, the security guards were not particularity pleasant and seemed to have no affinity for "Feel the City Tours". It was unclear if the company never buys the tickets ahead of time or already knew the tickets had sold out. The guide was a nice young woman who said that she was an independent tour guide and did not work directly for "Feel the City Tours". People started leaving despite having already paid because some were doing a combined Alcazar- Church tour. The guide reached a company representative and lots of talking ensued and we watched as they started letting people go into the Alcazar who were in better organized tours with pre-purchased tickets. The guide had no plan and we knew she felt bad but we waited at the front not really in line but hoping. We waited with our guide for over an hour really not knowing if we would ever get in. They slowly started to let people in as people starting leaving the Alcazar but we had to wait until all the line was gone. We got in by 5pm and had to rush thru some areas. My advice is to forget "Feel the City Tours" and go with another company.

Great Tour
Mar 2019 • Couples
First - the Alcazar is amazing. Our guide was Victoria who spoke great English and gave a great tour - ending in the gardens. Having someone who understands the history and significance made the visit to the Royal Palace far more interesting than wandering around with a headset on. Small group on a Thursday in March - great guide.

Disappointment is an understatement.
Skip the line? We waited in line for 30 minutes... the tour was short, when we got in... only about an hour. And the price of the entry wasn't included... which wasn't made clear on purchase. They also charged for using their audio devices. Don't book with them.

The incredible Alcazar comes alive with Maria Galvilan
Nov 2018 • Couples
My husband and I visited Sevilla a few months ago and were lucky enough to find "feel the City's Alcazar" tour. We've been on many tours and often the guide either has little passion for the subject, not enough knowledge, poor people skills or just led so many groups their patience is exhausted. None of that was the case with Maria Galvilan"s tour of Alcazar.

As a PHd, Maria embraced Spain's rich past, guiding us through it's fascinating history and Alcazar's stunning beauty. Her knowledge and passion for these treasure was remarkable and contagious. She never tired of the endless questions from our relatively small group of 10 and managed to make each of us feel as if our question contributed to the tour.

Since this site abounds with spectacular photo opportunities she was also quite gracious with our wanderings.

The 90 minutes turned into nearly 2 hours and it flew past.

Maria encouraged us to explore the Palace after the tour; which was all the more enjoyable because of the historical and artistic information she'd shared.

Our only regret is that we didn't have more time with this outstanding young woman
