Overview

Don’t waste time waiting to enter the UNESCO-listed Alcazar of Seville, book a 1.5-hour guided tour of the majestic monument that includes skip-the-line entry. After sailing past long lines, you’ll head straight inside the Alcazar of Seville and see opulent features like Lion Gate and Courtyard of the Dolls. Behold architectural evidence of decadent Moorish rulers and absorb the botanical beauty of the gardens, replete with distinctive water features and exotic plants, while listening to history-rich commentary from your guide.

What to Expect
Discover one of Spain’s most extraordinary buildings on a 1.15-hour guided tour of the Alcazar in Seville.

Meet your guide on the Puerta de Jerez to skip the long lines to the building, started by the Cordoban governors of Seville in 913. Learn the history of the Alcazar, and how it expanded over its 11 centuries of existence.

Enter the ornate complex to see the exquisite additions of the Almohads when they turned into a fortress in the 12th century. Travel through time as you hear tales of the Christian Fernando III, who moved into the Alcázar when he captured Seville in 1248.

See architectural evidence of the Moorish Muslim rulers, government officials, court servants, and royal guard. Marvel at one of the most outstanding examples of Mudéjar architecture on the Iberian Peninsula. Experience the palace and gardens with all your senses, from the sound of the fountains, to the fragrance of flowers, to the intricate Mudéjar plaster work and beams in the Patio del León.
