This was a really fun tour with a knowledgeable guide. The group we were with was a mix of Spanish and English speakers and he did his best to describe everything in both languages. We had some great birdwatching and a brief trip to the beach. A really great way to see something different. It really was an all day tour, so if you're time is limited in Seville it might not fit into your schedule. But if you have an extra day to explore, or really want to see local wildlife, I highly recommend.

A fantastic day trip exploring flora and fauna and authentic Andalusian culture. Patricia (Naturanda) was a very friendly, fun and knowledgeable guide, sharing about the background of the park and the numerous species to which it is home. On our tour we saw a family of wild bison, many deer and, when exploring the sand dunes, spotted the tracks of deer, mongoose and lynx.
Visiting El Rocio village was another highlight - we visited on the day of a festival, attended part of a church service and saw many elegant ladies in flamenco dress. Though only an hour from Seville - El Rocio is like a day trip to Mexico!
Another highlight was a 2 km walk through shady pine forest to a magnificent palace which a panoramic view of the park from its roof terrace.
A 5 Star day with a 5 Star scenery and guide!

Our tour guide Patricia was excellent. Very knowledgeable, professional and pleasant. The tour itself will is not made for individuals that are not used to walking, especially in the sand dunes. Also please note that the tour starts more like 6:00 in the morning so bring food and drink. There is a lunch stop where you can put age food and sit down to drink.

Mixed experience overall, Patri was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the national park. It was good to travel in a small group in a 4x4 which she drove beautifully in the park's terrain.
We saw most of the sights described, but there was some flexibility and we were taken to see a lynx sanctuary as part of the trip.
We really enjoyed the morning in the park's pine forest and the wetlands. We visited the lynx sanctuary before lunch. The guide was very inspiring explaining the work they are doing to protect the species. We were sad not to spot the lynx in the enclosure, it would have helped if we had seen at least a short video to show how the lynx lived.
We were taken for lunch at 3 pm to a seaside restaurant/ chiringuito in Matalascanas. The views were fantastic, however the food was average and hugely overpriced (over 70 euros for two, and we didn't order any wine). We wished we had been more organised and taken a packed lunch with us to eat on the beach instead.
In the afternoon, we visited the dunes/ beach habitat.
It was fascinating to imagine the dunes 'swallowing' the trees.
However, we felt this was a bit rushed, and towards the end of the visit the group had moved on and left us behind. We got lost and eventually made our own way back to the car, where everyone was waiting.
I would say the dunes area is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues, although there was a decking path some of the way, the ground was very steep and uneven.
After what was a great morning, the afternoon was dissapointing, we would have expected the tour guide to check that the whole group stayed together and returned safely to the car.
Unfortunately this left a bitter taste and we are not sure we would recommend it.

My daughter and 19 yo grandson took this tour with me. Enrique, our guide, clearly is a naturalist and knows what he’s doing. Though temps were at 100°, we were able to see lots of birds, wild boar, deer and wild horses but sadly, no Iberian lynx. The tour was well -paced and included stops along the way to enjoy local villages. The visit to El Rocio was like a step back in time to an old western movie set. My grandson describes tne day as his Spanish Safari - do it!
We did 3 Naturanda tours within a few days - they are rock stars and worth every pesata!

We had an excellent time with Ramon in Doñana! Despite the rainy weather we still managed to experience numerous wildlife sightings thanks to his expertise and learned a great deal about the park(s) and the life they support. Rocio was a gem unlike anywhere we’ve been before and we were lucky to have a great meal there at a local cafe/bar. We would recommend this excursion to anyone looking to experience Andalusian nature in this area. Thank you again, Ramon!

I was transferred onto this tour as not enough people had booked my original choice with another company.
Patricia was a very informative and attentive guide who took care of a small (5 people) mixed language group.
The tour is a welcome break from monument fatigue in the cities.
Given the drought, the wildlife available to see was limited but Patricia has arranged a visit to a Lynx centre and it was great to get to know about this significant conservation project.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this adventure.
Although it says National Park they only take you to the Natural Park.
The 10 hour adventure turned into a 12 hour adventure, which was way too long.
They pick you up before sunrise and go straight to the park. This could be an opportunity to watch the beautiful sunrise, but no attention was given to that. Seemed like a missed opportunity.
We watched deer for about two hours. We visited a cute old cowboy wild western town. We have breakfast there. Then we went for a pretty hike and visited this old mansion. Then we head to a beach area to have lunch and sit on the beach. 12 hours is too long for this when the drive is only about 45 minutes away.
The cherry on top was after being on this trip for 12 hours, the tour guide dropped the couple and other attendant to their locations but refused to drop me to my pick up location since it would take 12 minutes. He made me walk even though I asked him to please drop me since I was exhausted and had my backpack and items to carry. My walk was longer than the 12 minute drive. He refused and his last words were, "Have a good life". Not sure what had happened I thought we were getting a long and I was definitely bringing a positive attitude to a not so positive experience.

I booked because there was supposed to be options to do 4X4 or horseback riding but it was not. It was a nice tour out of the city in a National Park but we drove a van and didn’t have many opportunities to walk around. It is mostly a bird watching tour. We saw beautiful Flamingos. Our guide was super nice and knowledgeable.

Our guide (Federico) was well informed and very good at spotting wild life. I especially liked that he took such care of the group so we always knew what we were doing. All our stops were different and interesting - El Rocio is one of the most extraordinary places I have visited! The 4x4 trip in the park also had an expert guide - no lunx but good views of boar, red deer and many bird species that were new to me. Dune walks were lovely and it was great to be able to absorb the peaceful ambience out of season.

Hola,
Are all of the trails and areas of the park open this time of year? I have read some reviews that complained about your company's tour being a disappointment because the tour was abbreviate due to closed areas.
We are here through the end of January and are wondering if you could recommend the best time to visit the park. Are there a lot of birds/animals residing in the park in January?

We visited Donana Park in October. This was after the fall migration to Africa. However we did see some rare Black Storks. Unfortunately it was the dry season and no habitat for wet lands birds. Disappointing if you are trying to get your life list up there, but for me it was still quite satisfying.
The national parks in Spain appear to be established as natural preserves and research areas, NOT as a tourist destination as we have come to expect in N America. Visits are only allowed with a registered / approved guide. Therefore not anywhere near what you might expect on this side of the pond. Expect access to be limited, driven by the primary purpose of the park.
I don't believe that January is the "wet season" so the marshes are not wet and full of birds. I would expect that March might be a more rewarding time for an avid birder to visit.
My wife and I went more as naturalists, and were very interested in the varying ecology (marshes, forests and sea side) That did not disappoint.
If you go make sure your guide is a knowledgable. Ours (Sergio) was knowledgable and I believe a masters student. He completely made the trip.
Avoid spending any more than 40 minutes on the "church visit"....

Yes, as already answered by Jujohns and Lorrie E, a van will pick you up at a previously agreed-upon location. I stayed in nearby Plaza de Armas and they picked me up there.
It’s a very worthwhile tour, and expertly conducted.

the pick up is located near the entrance to the Parking Cano y Cueto of Seville. My pick up was been fixed for 7.30 AM. The distance between the parking and your hotel is 1,1 km by foot.
During the visit, you will pass 1 hour in the pick up looking the animals, then hour in Rossio town, then 1 hour by foot to reach a palace very beautiful in the forest. At the end, you will visit the beach with white sand. The walk in the forest is fast (the road is flat) but long and please consider that the temperature is very hight, especially in July/August.
In my opinion, this visit is not recommended for you, unless you renuonce the walk
Hola! We have a 2 year old and 1 year old with us. They will love the wildlife but Would you say the travelling is suitable?

I believe that taking small children on this tour could work very well because you are never far from the vehicle. Just register for the excursion and communicate with your guide. I don’t know if they have child safety seats or if you would need to provide your own.
Hello... Is lunch included?
How long is spent at the beach?

Hi, you have to pay for your own lunch, but the restaurant has a good choice - lots of ifhs if you like it!
We were at the beach for 1 1/2 hours. It depends on what you want. Afterwards, we went back to the same village for some lovely pastries and coffee - or ice cream. Again, you pay for what you're eating. Still great value though!
