About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Flyer5972610 contributionsPrivate transfer Faro to SevilleWe had a private transfer from Faro to Seville incorporating a stop at Italica along the way. Our driver Daniel was very friendly and knowledgeable, offering good suggestions for how to spend our time in Seville and tips on language, food etc. He was a great driver and lovely person. Thanks also to Mahsa for helping me to book the trip and suggestions for tours along the way (which was great value compared to subsequent day trips).Written January 10, 2025
- VanessaB58230 contributionsDon't Hesitate | Just Do It!Carlos was our guide for our day trip to the Alhambra | Granada. His knowledge and experience shone brightly. We very much enjoyed Carlos' kindness snd company during the long drive from Sevilla. Laura guided us through the Alhambra and her extensive historical knowledge painted great stories and lifted our imagination. Highly recommend!! ❤️Written January 8, 2025
- tiggerlgh0 contributionsGreat private trip and tour to Granada from SevillaTook a day trip from Seville to Granada to see the Alhambra and the Alcazyn. Carlos was a fantastic host. He walked us around the city showing us places we would never seen ourselves. Additionally, he gave us some hints of things to see in our next city, as well as tried to help us make restaurant reservations, which we were ultimately able to get in thanks to him.Written January 4, 2025

- linda71140 contributionsWonderful day trip to Caves of Nerja and Frigiliana white villageGreat experience on a full-day tour of the Caves of Nerja, white village of Fragiliana, and Balcony of Europe on the Costa del Sol. Our tour guide (and driver), Predrag, was fabulous, and it was a pleasure to spend the day guided by him. First stop was the pre-historic Caves at Nerja with giant stalactites and stalagmites and other amazing sights. Next was Frigiliana, probably the most beautiful white village in Spain. Predrag knew the best walking route through the town, adapting the pace to our needs, and he showed us sights we would not have found on our own. Finally we visited the Mediterranean shore at Nerja and the Balcony of Europe for beautiful views looking out to the sea and shoreline. Predrag is extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of the area, and he made the day so interesting and enjoyable. This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Spain.Written December 27, 2024

- Matthew F0 contributionsGreat Tour that gives you an appreciation for food and culture of Triana.Guille was an exceptional host who comes from a family that has lived in Triana. He has great knowledge of the food and takes you to places that have been part of neighborhood for a generation. He answers all of your questions about the food relative to Seville and Triana and was able to provide a nice history of some of the restaurants over time.Written December 15, 2024
- Matthew F0 contributionsA Relaxing Journey into Culture, History and Beauty of Southern Spain.Carlos was the best tour host we’ve ever had. He was well versed on the history and culture of these towns. More importantly, he catered it to how much we were interested in, which in our case was a lot! In my experience, what makes a tour or rural, small town Europe come alive is its history and why these areas became to be the way they are in this modern time. Carlos talked about how these villages came to be with each takeover of Iberia and how these villages current people have maintained its history as younger generations move out to the cities and then back. Carlos also had tons of knowledge of the ecology of the area, which is important to locals and park system around these towns that protect it. The best compliment of a tour host I can give is that by the end of the tour, he felt like a friend you want to keep in touch with. Carlos absolutely left us with this. Finally, he is a big NBA basketball fan, so if you are, he will gladly talk about it as much as you’d like! 😉Written December 15, 2024
- Magellan-RL0 contributionsGreat private tour to Ronda! At the end of November 2024 my family and I were in Granada and we took a day trip to Ronda with Not Just a Tourist. Our guide Ramon picked us up from our hotel in Granada on-time and drove us to and from Ronda in pristine private van. It was a pleasure to spend the day with him and he personally guided us around the whole city showing and explaining many different historical locations. He also drove us below the Puente Nuevo (New Bridge) for an additional photo stop as we were leaving the town. We had a great experience with Ramon and Not Just a Tourist! This was a day-trip we will never forget!Written December 4, 2024
- Bin M0 contributionsGreat tour in Ronda and the surrounding white villagesThe tour covers some of the best sights of the white villages and Ronda. Our guide Juanra was very knowledgeable. He shared the historical and geological importance of the castles and white villages along the way, and showed us several hidden gems in Ronda. Very friendly. Highly recommend!Written November 27, 2024

- David D0 contributionsAuthentic flamenco and tasty tapas with an exceptional guide and companion for the eveningThis was a fantastic tour. I felt like I was getting an experience of what flamenco was really about. I felt the passion and sense of history through talented and passionate performers in an intimate little venue in Triana. Costanza, as host could not have been more friendly and helpful. As a flamenco dancer and teacher herself, her enthusiasm and understanding of the history and local flamenco scene was a huge bonus. We also visited several other authentic and traditional tapas bars, enjoying lovely local food and wine. All in all this was a perfect way to spend an evening, just across the bridge from Seville.Written November 22, 2024
- A9085FUjuliet0 contributionsA great trip with Carlos! We booked this tour from Granada back to Seville. Our driver, Carlos, picked us up at our hotel in Granada-he reached out the day before as well as that morning to update us on his arrival time. We stopped in Ronda where Carlos led us a quick, but informative, walking tour and then gave us time to explore and have lunch on our own. On the way to Seville, we also made a brief stop at one of the beautiful white villages. Arrived in Seville around 6pm. Definitely worth the cost for the private transfer between cities and the stop in Ronda was one of the highlights of our week in Spain! A great day with Carlos!Written November 22, 2024
- jyolynh0 contributionsHam++Oscar is a knowledgeable and wonderful guide who happily shared about Spain and its culture. The ham tasting tour was nothing short of what we expected, especially the blind tasting portion that came with wine. We had ample time for lunch at a bar in Aracena before touring the cave, which is a true hidden gem. Oscar also gave us a few bar recommendations and dropped us off at a convenient location for us to shop for olive oil in Seville. Overall, highly recommend! Thanks Oscar for your generosity!Written November 21, 2024
- RoseO1290 contributionsWorst experience ever - Viator Gibraltar Day TourBEWARE! Worst experience EVER with Viator and the local tour operator. Showed up promptly at 8 am for pick up as instructed. Guide never showed up. We called 10 times the local phone number provided to find out status and, after the 10th try, somebody answered. We were then told that while we are confirmed on the system, there is a technical glitch and mix-up that showed our confirmed date was one year from today from the local operator’s side! Wow! Worst excuse ever! Way more creative that “The dog ate my homework.” I explained that we got emails EVERYDAY for the last week, before the trip, confirming the day trip we booked. Even printed the tickets on the Viator App confirming the date and time. But alas, to no avail. So, my advise to all —> THERE ARE BETTER OPTIONS OUT THERE TO ENJOY YOUR HARD EARNED VACATION!Written November 19, 2024

We spent about 8 days in Andalusia and booked several tours with Not Just a Tourist. The proved to be very professional and accommodating and customised a lot of tours for us. We paid about 80 euros more and could make it private which was a great decision to be able to have the guide for ourselves for the entire day. Our guide Carmen was a wealth of information and we learnt a lot about the culture as well as the cuisine in Cordoba. As we are interested in wine, our driver, Miguel, took us to a little wine shop where we could taste different wine varieties from the region. For lunch we visited a local tavern specialised on Tortilla and could sit next to the Mosque's old walls and enjoy the local ambiance. An absolute highlight!

Our small group tour ended up being a group of two which was wonderful! Upon arrival in Cordoba we stopped for churros and chocolate at an excellent small shop which was a great treat by Carlos of Not Just A Tourist. We entered the city on the pedestrian Roman bridge that we learned had carried auto traffic between Madrid and Sevilla until the 1960s. Carlos arranged for a private guide of the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba. Carlos took over with a thorough walk through the Jewish quarter, stopping frequently to point out the unique elements of the quarter and the history of Jewish settlement dating back centuries before the Roman, Moors and Christian settlements. On the return to Sevilla, we stopped in Carmona for lunch at a wonderful restaurant where Not Just A Tourist had secured reservations on a busy Sunday afternoon. We toured the town of Carmona including a stop at the hilltop Alcazar of King Don Pedro. Thanks to Carlos and Not Just A Tourist for making our trip to Cordoba a day that we will long remember.

Carlos who was our driver and guide for our Cordoba- Carmona day was an outstanding guide, well informed and conversational with interesting insights and analogies about the visit sites and their history. He even made the effort to bring us into the Parador hotel at Carmona, which I am not sure is part of the regular tour, for a look around and the commanding view of the surrounding countryside.
But what impressed my wife and me even more was his kindness and adaptability. Carlos made the unexpected but touching gesture of buying small souvenirs for our 2 teenage daughters who stayed back in Seville and missed this tour as they were not well, He was also accommodating and adaptable for changes in schedule as my wife was not feeling too great that day either.
We also had a Flamenco and Tapas walking tour in Seville. Having the lovely and exuberant Kati, who is a Flamenco dancer herself, as our guide made the evening special. Besides the visual and aural experience of the dance itself, her passion for the subject shined through and really helped my family appreciate the art form and culture so much better.
Slight negative was that the food at the actual Flamenco venue was mediocre at best. The food at the stops before and after were better, and anyway the performance is the main highlight of the evening.

We had an amazing day with our guide, Oscar! The drive to Cordoba from Seville took 90 minutes and when we got there, we spent our time as follows:
1. Visited the Patios: This is a must! A UNESCO Heritage Site of these incredible gardens at private homes that are at their peak in May every year. But still, even in September, the patios were so charming and the owners are so proud and welcoming of tourists. Definitely a highlight.
2. The Synagogue: Not a big site, but worth a visit to learn about the Jewish history in Cordoba. The Jewish quarter here is the biggest in all of Spain!
3. The Mosque & Cathedral: This was a magical experience of a pastiche of many rich worlds colliding into what’s today a sight to behold. I can’t even begin to describe it. You just gotta get there and see it for yourself.
4. Lunch: Oscar, our guide, is a chef and he picked a spot for us that was absolutely amazing! We wouldn’t have found this spot on our own, I can tell you that much. The food we had was divine! You must try the salmorejo while in cordoba.
5. Camrona!: We were lucky to have had the time to make a stop at the town of Carmona on the way back to Seville. Oscar recommended it and it was worth the stop.
It was a magical day with an amazing guide. Worth every penny.

Guide was knowledgeable and had a pleasant personality. If anything, the day trip made me want to spend additional days in the lovely city of Cordoba. The company also arranged excellent drivers for transfers from Granada to Tarifa and from Tarifa to Ronda.

Oscar from ‘Not just a tourist’ was so interesting talking to us on the drive to Cordoba about life and politics in Spain. His experience as a chef also helped us understand Andalusian food and suggested dishes to sample and restaurants to visit. He took us to the three UNESCO sites in Cordoba- the unique Patio homes, the Jewish synagogue and the piece the resistance- the Mosque/church

I recently did a couple of private tours for 2 people with this company. We did the Cordoba/Carmona Day Tour and Granada Day Tour. The booking process was easy and it was easy to communicate with them.
Our tour in Cordoba was great. Alfonso was our driver. He only spoke Spanish, I knew a bit of Spanish so we were able to communicate with each other. He was very pleasant and friendly. Our tour guide was Anghel. He was very knowledgeable and he kept it interesting. We learned a lot from him. He also knew how to avoid the crowd so we can take good photos.

We took a day tour from Sevilla to Córdoba and it was great! Our driver Alfonso was kind, funny, talkative and on time. He drove us to Córdoba, where we saw everything (Alcázar, Mosque/Cathedral, Synagogue) in the Old Town with the best guides. Alfonso even suggested a place to eat where we had great Cordobés food! Then drove us back to Sevilla smoothly by sunset... A perfect day out, thumbs up for Not Just a Tourist!!!

We had a wonderful day with Oscar as our guide in Cordoba. He was personable, professional, and very knowledgeable about his subject. He took us to a lot of great little places off the beaten path in Cordova. We enjoyed spending out time with him.
We also had a wonderful experience with Angel, our guide for the mosque/cathedral. An amazing testament to the ingenuity of both the Moors and the Catholics. .

Why so rigid in cancellation policy? Due to any emergency one can either cancel or shift to another date. To risky to book months ahead!

Sorry, but I don't know about the cancellation policy. I must not have been paying close attention or didn't care. Happy Travels!
