About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Curious232119398920 contributionsThe Cordoba trip was one of the highlights of our visit to Andalusia. The UNESCO sites especially the Mosque was superbOscar from ‘Not just a tourist’ was so interesting talking to us on the drive to Cordoba about life and politics in Spain. His experience as a chef also helped us understand Andalusian food and suggested dishes to sample and restaurants to visit. He took us to the three UNESCO sites in Cordoba- the unique Patio homes, the Jewish synagogue and the piece the resistance- the Mosque/churchWritten September 10, 2024
- Curious232119398920 contributionsTrip to the White villages in Andalusia- Las Arcos de Frontera, Ronda and SentinelOur guide Oscar from ‘Not just a Tourist’ was terrific. Patient, knowledgeable, an epicurean and willing to make the trip as flexible to our needs as possible. We had him for the entire day. He took us to see amazing views of these three very different White villages. He was a great conversationalist very aware of current Spanish and world issues. Discussing those made the long drives more pleasantWritten September 7, 2024
- ielshareef0 contributionsIncredible Day and Very Highly RecommendedWe had an amazing day with our guide, Oscar! The drive to Cordoba from Seville took 90 minutes and when we got there, we spent our time as follows: 1. Visited the Patios: This is a must! A UNESCO Heritage Site of these incredible gardens at private homes that are at their peak in May every year. But still, even in September, the patios were so charming and the owners are so proud and welcoming of tourists. Definitely a highlight. 2. The Synagogue: Not a big site, but worth a visit to learn about the Jewish history in Cordoba. The Jewish quarter here is the biggest in all of Spain! 3. The Mosque & Cathedral: This was a magical experience of a pastiche of many rich worlds colliding into what’s today a sight to behold. I can’t even begin to describe it. You just gotta get there and see it for yourself. 4. Lunch: Oscar, our guide, is a chef and he picked a spot for us that was absolutely amazing! We wouldn’t have found this spot on our own, I can tell you that much. The food we had was divine! You must try the salmorejo while in cordoba. 5. Camrona!: We were lucky to have had the time to make a stop at the town of Carmona on the way back to Seville. Oscar recommended it and it was worth the stop. It was a magical day with an amazing guide. Worth every penny.Written September 3, 2024

- Kim S0 contributionsLoved this look at Seville through the eyes of a local!Guille was so fun and personable! He was a story teller and told us many local stories and legends. The tour was a thorough look at the city he knows well since he was raised here:)Written July 21, 2024
- The_Atomic0 contributionsFun transfer from Granada to Seville through Ronda and Zahara of the Sierra. What a great way to get between cities and experience a couple smaller towns! Carlos did a great job as our tour guide and driver and gave a colorful history of olive oil making, bullfighting, and other Spanish pastimes. He was great to talk to the entire way and handled all the questions we threw at him with aplomb. We were able to eat at a phenomenal restaurant in Ronda for lunch. One of the highlights of our entire Spain trip was the visit to the olive oil mill for olive oil tasting in Zahara of the Sierra. Juan the olive oil mill owner was a very classy host and the entire family loved it.Written July 19, 2024

- elizmap20230 contributionsAuthentic Flamenco experienceExcellent and fun Flamenco lesson! Highly recommended if you want to learn a few moves to put together in a complete dance set. Our teacher, Maria, was brilliant and a wonderful Flamenco performer. I had a wonderful time! She also went above and beyond to support us. The Flamenco show afterwards was a superb way to end the activity.Written July 3, 2024
- Scenic149517327370 contributionsLove for FlamencoMaria was an excellent instructor. She gave us a history of the flamenco music and dance style, along with practical guidance on how to perform the basic steps. We could tell she loves flamenco and her enthusiasm made our lesson so much fun. We then thoroughly enjoyed going to the show afterwards to see how talented flamenco dancers are. We knew what to look for and truly appreciated the show thanks to Maria's lesson.Written June 25, 2024
- 63gracielas0 contributionsCordobaCarlos was amazing! Very knowledgeable and most of all, relatable. He was a step ahead of us and the experience was just short of perfect ( nothing is perfect😉). The drive felt like around the corner because we were always engaged by thoughtful conversation and interesting facts about the region. Highly recommendedWritten June 20, 2024
- rlenglebright0 contributionsOur Guide Abby Made the Tour the Highlight of our Visit. The highlight of our three short days in Seville was the rooftop walking tour hosted by Abby. Despite the rain and cloudy weather, Abby's effervescent and amiable personality, love of the history of Seville, and with her intimate knowledge provided a very enjoyable time. I felt like we were walking with along another friend, enjoying the sights and information. I would recommend this tour to anybody.Written June 12, 2024
- Roam405805516670 contributionsAn excellent experienceThis was a great way to start our holiday in Seville, very informative and good for orientation. Oscar was an excellent guide, relaxed and friendly who managed to accommodate our differing levels of Spanish and provide a good opportunity to practice the language.Written June 11, 2024
- Ally Z0 contributionsSo fun! Don’t miss 💛A true joy. Maria my instructor was so nice. I learned so much about the history of flamenco and just dancing and feeling the music was a highlight of the trip. Beginner level so good for all ages and mobilities. Sadly - I wasn’t able to attend the show that because I had an early night but I HIGHLY recommend. Doing a lesson and seeing a show by professionals was such a great way to live the experience. A favorite. This was a private lesson that happens in a studio and the show is in a different location. The show was a lot later than I initially realized so be prepared for that. I thought it was right afterward. Thank you!Written June 8, 2024
- alanr1890 contributionsFantastic Food TourWe had a great night touring Seville’s tapas bars. Our guide Oscar took us to some great bars which we would never have found without Oscar’s local knowledge. Oscar introduced us to dishes we may not have normally considered in addition to some classic tapas from the region. Oscar is passionate about food and local culture and is an entertaining guide. We would definitely book again.Written June 7, 2024

We had advised on 3 occasions that we had four pieces of luggage and needed suitable car to accommodate us, plus the luggage.
A very small hatchback car arrived to pick us up for the transfer
Despite the numerous prior emails and text messages advising the requirement of a larger car.
The guide spoke to the provider at the pick up point and she said that was the only car available, so given our timeframe, we had no choice but to try and accommodate ourselves and the luggage in the vehicle
Half of our luggage was in the backseat.
With my partner in the front seat next to the driver, I had to share effectively one seat left in the back with the guide, I could not use a seatbelt and was extremely uncomfortable.
Consequently, the journey was incredibly uncomfortable and unsafe.
To make matters worse, the windows of the car were filthy, making it difficult for the driver & passengers to see clearly.
After the driver went through the red light with a near miss with a large truck, my husband insisted that he personally clean the windows at our next the olive oil farm stop.
After some sightseeing we finally made it to Granada with a long walk to our accommodation (with all our luggage) as the vehicle didn’t have permission to enter the old city.
This situation is a clear demonstration of the provider, maximising her profit with little concern for the comfort and safety of her clients, not to mention the guide and the driver.
A terrible experience .

Hi Sandy, I apologize if your transfer experience didn't meet your expectations. Over the past decade, we've strived to ensure our clients have positive experiences, and it's disheartening to hear otherwise.
I understand that the issue happned due to a misunderstanding on your part about luggage capacity. In the category you selected, the allowance is for four pieces of luggage, whereas you had six. You contacted us less than 24 hours prior to your date and by then it was too late to make alternative arrangements for you being your booking from spring. Despite the constraints, I offered to arrange an additional car for your extra luggage at no extra cost! Unfortunately, this option was declined, and you asked your driver and guide to put suitcases inside the car which is forbidden in Spain and caused stress for everybody apart from a considerable delay for your wine-tasting appointment. However, we did our best to accommodate you and instead of losing your tour we delayed the following bookings so you don't lose your booking. But then we received a refund request for the wine tasting while it seemed you enjoyed it a lot according to the photos of you.
Your hotel in Granada is in a pedestrian and residential area and cars are not allowed to enter. This is very common in Spain as we have old historic towns that are mostly pedestrian. This is also mentioned on our website so customers are aware that the pickup and drop off can be in a nearby accessible location. It would have been of great help if you checked your hotel and the access to it before booking!
It's worth noting that communication is key in such situations. If we had been informed about the excess luggage from the beginning, we could have avoided the complications.
In any case, I sincerely regret any inconvenience caused and hope that your future travels are smoother. We are here to help but clear communication and aligning expectations are crucial aspects of a seamless travel experience and we need your help with that too. Warm regards!

We had an amazing day. One of our favorites of our Spain adventure. Carlos was super friendly, knowledgable and accommodating. It was a long day but we broke it up with breakfast (at a place Carlos knows in Zahara), olive oil tour, wine tasting and lunch, then on to Rhonda. Carlos dropped us in Granada and even waited for our airbnb host to arrive to make sure we got in ok. Overall top notch service. Thank you Carlos! I highly recommend Not Just a Tourist.

It was the best moment of our entire trip!
Miguel was our driver and tour guide and he was very pleasant and patient plus such a good driver. We made a stop at olive oil tasting farm and it was wonderful. He even stopped in Zahara so we can capture beautiful scenery.
Miguel gave us enough time to explore Ronda including cool spot below the bridge. We took a best picture ever.
He also stopped at Antequera which was really pretty town with less tourists. He took us to the tower / ruins and explained more details. He was wonderful person and very kind.
Thank you Miguel !

Alfonso was our driver from Sevilla to Granada, via Ronda and an olive oil tour and tasting. He was great at communicating before and was very punctual. He was also a lot of fun. I know a little Spanish and he knows a little English but with the help of Google translate we could converse and he pointed out sites along the way. We had a very pleasant drive in a comfortable car and it was great to see the countryside. The olive oil molino was very interesting and our tour was given by the owner.

Our guide, Fillippo, was the best. Knowledgeable. Charming. Tailored the tour to what we wanted to see, and the pace we wanted. And found a great local lunch restaurant outside of the tourist haunts which we all enjoyed. I will definitely take a future tour where he is the guide.
The driver picked us up exactly on time. The vehicle for the four of us was comfortable and clean. He stopped when we needed, was friendly and drove well.

My husband and I took a private car with our driver/ guide Carlos from Seville to Granada with a stop in Ronda. The trip was wonderful Carlos was very knowledgeable and nice. He walked us around Ronda and told us the history and made it very interesting. It was our 25 th wedding anniversary that day and he truly made it special. I highly recommend this company and their driver Carlos.
