We did was meant to be a one hour tour on 23/09/2019 with Granada alternativa Tour. We were 2 x adults, 2 x 17 year olds and a nervous 10 year old. The hour is disregarded as the tour starts after everyone has done some practicing and is happy on their Segway. None of us had been on a Segway before but Francesco, our trilingual guide, took his time and before long we were good to go. With the 10 year old right behind Francesco so he could keep an eye on her, we set off. Slowly at first as we got used to the considerable ups and downs of Granada. The tour brings you through the Moorish centre and on to the gypsy quarter of Sacromonte. We found Francesco to be excellent, stopping along the way to explain the history and keeping an eye on us all. Especially important when sometimes you are sharing the narrow one way streets with traffic. Generally everyone was very good and plenty of room is given to us on the roads. Francesco was also helpful when one of our party fainted ! She was soon back on her feet with help from Francesco and a lovely lady from one of the nearby houses who insisted on spooning sugar and pouring water in to her until revived. We had been staying about 45 minutes away and this was a brilliant way to see the city from its best vantage points without killing yourself slogging up hills. We are doing a separate tour of the Alhambra so can’t comment on that tour. The tour was well worth the money and Francesco was a brilliant guide One tip I would give is to avoid the heat of midday. It can make you faint ! Other than that I’d heartily recommend it. Even for the small ones. Thanks Francesco !

This was an amazing tour. The guide is a former journalist, so he approaches the tour with a keen eye for details and historical facts. I learned a lot. As a side note, this tour was in Spanish, so most of the people on the tour were from Granada or had ties to Granada. I really appreciated how, as an American practicing my Spanish, I was welcomed into the group and made to feel very much a part of it. The guide also took some extra time to explain references to Spanish history or culture that an American might not be familiar with. It was the best tour I have taken in five weeks in Spain. I highly recommend it!

Cons: - doesn't live up to expectations: you don't learn much about the underground - you can visit all the places yourself. There are no real "secrets" - bring a tourist pamplet. It can tell you a much ås the guide - the guide didn't speak very well english - 15 euros is pricey for taking i walk. Pros: - the Rodriguez mansion is interesting, and so are the tunnels in the vincity. But you can se that by yourself.

It was the forst time we visited Granada and choosing the Secret Granada tours was the best choise. Our guide Jose took us to see the typical Granada houses with gardens: carmenes. We would never imagine these places exist in Granada and a tour made us feel we were the city habitants. It was nos the typical tour when the guide gives you a lot of historical data, but the one when you catch the city spirit. If we come back to Granada, we will take for sure some another Secret Granada tour.
