Overview
Granada’s UNESCO-listed Alhambra attracts long on-the-day ticket lines and requires a guided tour to do it justice. This private tour—which includes your entrance fee—provides skip-the-line access to eliminate waits and a personal guide so you don’t miss a thing about the complex’s history. Explore the Nasrid Palaces, Alcazaba, Generalife, and more; and enjoy in-depth personalized commentary so you leave knowing everything you want.
What to Expect
Confirm your preferred start time and meet your guide in central Granada. Then, skip the Alhambra’s long entrance lines, heading straight inside the UNESCO-listed complex.

Admire the 13th-century Alcazaba fortress, as you learn about the Nasrid sultans—Spain’s last Muslim rulers—who reigned from 1230 to 1492. Next, see the ornamental halls and chambers of the Nasrid Palaces and Comares Palace, as you hear about the sultans and their harems, taking in highlights including the Patio of the Lions en route.

View the Renaissance-era Palace of Charles V, built when Granada came under Catholic rule, and discover the courtyards and greenery of the Alhambra gardens. Afterward, explore the neighboring Generalife gardens, the patios, pools, and archways of which served as the sultans’ summer retreat. Listen as your guide shares the gardens’ history, and feel free to ask any questions you wish throughout.

When the time comes, your tour concludes at the Alhambra.

Absolutely beautiful building, such sophisticated beauty.

I heartily encourage you others to take this tour of this most beautiful building. We had a wonderful guide, Juan Antonio "Nono" who really made the place come to life for us and who answered all our questions which were many.

Thanks to our guide Manu we had an incredible tour of the Alhambra and Generalife. His knowledge was incredible and his enthousiasm was contagious. As an architect he took the trouble to explain how many of the buildings and features were constructed. Gave us an...More

There’s a reception area, main entrance, near the top of the hill. I’d suggest you park somewhere in town and walk or take a cab to the entrance. Maybe 1/2 mile up fairly steep hill to walk. We took a cab, then walked down... More

I would say speed not necessarily an issue though there is some distance to cover. There are a few stairs into a building and a garden or two. Taken slow I would not see as this insurmountable. As for travel query, I am... More
