We used Spain Day Tours for our Granada/Alhambra tour.

Thank you very much Emilia for organizing such a wonderful tour:
The tour guide Debby was great, helpful, organized, thorough and explained everything well.
The driver from Belgium was nice, friendly, and drove us safely from one place to another .
The local guide Danny was personable and knowledgeable and took great pains to show us the amazing Alhambra Palace.
We wish we had a little more time to explore the city centre of Grenada.

All in all, it was a fabulous tour and all 6 of us enjoyed it immensely. We will no doubt book future tours through Spain Day Tours and will highly recommend it to our friends.

Amazing Alhambra

This was a very informative tour beginning when we were picked up at the cruise port and continuing until we were dropped off back at the ship in plenty of time for our departure from Malaga. Our guide gave us a great deal of information on the 2 hour drive to the Alhambra and then we were divided into small groups for our tour there with another knowledgeable guide. Would recommend to any cruise passengers when they visit Malaga. The Alhambra is a must see!

Great way to see the Alhambra

The people with Spain Day Tours made the trip to Granada to see the Alhambra a real pleasure. Their crew on the bus from Malaga and the guides at the Alhambra were extremely knowledgable and friendly. I had been to the Alhambra years ago but did not know half the interesting details their guide provided. I highly recommend this shore excursion and look forward to other trips with Spain Day Tours.

Our cruise line said the trip to the Alhambra was full but it turned out they had canceled the trip. Thankfully we had booked a tour through Spain Day Tours. They met us as we got off the ship and guided us to our coach. The whole way up we were given a narration of the history as well as what we were passing (the kinds of orchards, the terracing, the cities, the ruins and why the empty homes had not been leveled). Once at the Alhambra we were broken up into groups of 15 or less and had ear buds so we could hear our guide in spite of all the people around us. The tour was quite in depth. We were promised a trip into town and in spite of some people not following directions, we were still able to fit that in. We had a fairly quiet ride down as people were sleeping and when we got close to the ship, we were gently awakened and more highlights shared of the area. We were returned to the ship in plenty of time so we were not nervous at all about being left behind. A very well-run tour!!!

Great alternative to Cruise Line tour

We were collected from the cruise terminal in Malaga and transported by comfortable coach to Grenada. Our guide gave an interesting commentary and we had a comfort stop on the outbound journey. We were split into small groups of 12 at the Alhambra and enjoyed around 3 hours in the Alhambra and Generalife Gardens with a local onsite guide who spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable of the history of the site and could even name most of the trees and flowers. We had a short stop in Grenada for a late lunch before boarding the coach back to Malaga. The tour was excellent value for money and I would recommend it to cruise line passengers. Lots of walking involved.

Great Tour You Can Tailor to Your Needs

A group of 6 of us did the Malaga to Granada Alhambra tour off of a cruise ship. We did the large group transportation from the ship to Granada, which worked well as we were able to get commentary from the guide on the bus on the area and history. We then did a private tour of Alhambra, which allowed us to see it at our own pace and have good conversations with the guide. Both guides were excellent, and Malaga Day Tours handled the large group transportation/private tour arrangements flawlessly. Malaga Day Tours was an excellent choice for us.

I booked this tour through Malaga Day Tours. We were on a cruise which was in Malaga just for the day. I can honestly say that from my initial enquiry to returning to the ship. Alonso at Malaga Tours made the experience very easy.

The Alhambra Palace was lovely. We travelled together in one coach but split into three small groups with a guide each for the tour. The guide, Ignatius, was very knowledgeable and keen to answer questions. Clearly there had been thought put into the tour because we seemed to avoid most of the crowds. We were punctual except for late guests but I think this was managed well and only took a few minutes from our schedule. My concern was getting back to the ship in time but I need not have worried. Everything was in hand and all we had to do was relax and enjoy the experience.

Bus to Alhambra and Granada

Malaga Day Tours provided a comprehensive tour of Alhambra. They were prompt in picking us up at the port and dropping us off back at the ship. Our guide on the 2 hour bus ride with 28 people gave us a lot of information about Malaga and where we were headed. When we arrived at Alhambra we broken into 2 groups of 14 that was led by a special tour guide from there. It was a very interesting tour. I would recommend this shore excursion.

Worth the long drive!

While it was about a 2 hour drive to get from Malaga to Alhambra, it definitely was worthwhile. The Alhambra is hard to even describe - the buildings are fascinating. An added bonus were the great views. Both the tour guide on the bus from Malaga as well as the tour guide at Alhambra were very informative - we learned not just about Alhambra but also about Granada, Malaga and Spain. Even though our group of over 50 arrived in 2 buses, we were separated into smaller groups while touring Alhambra. The bus left promptly as scheduled from the cruise port and arrived back an hour before the ship was to leave. I'd highly recommend Spain Day Tours and the day tour from Malaga. If arriving on cruise ship, the price was probably half of what the cruise line was charging and, as I said, we toured in a smaller group.

This is a most worthwhile tour. The Alhambra is fascinating, and the views of the surrounding city and countryside are an added bonus. Our tour guide on the bus from Malaga to Granada was super, very friendly and informative. And there is an appropriate rest stop once in each travel direction, which is always appreciated. The special guide in the Alhambra was also terrific. By the way, this tour was considerably less expensive than the similar cruise ship excursion. I highly recommend it.
