- 780encarnia00Cultural visitVery nice experience. Riding camels, tasting traditional food in a beautiful restaurant that it was a set for a Hollywood movie, snake’s charmer, Medina visit, zoco market. The guide was a professional.
- austinhI6019VV00Around 4 miles round trip! The tour guide was amazing, he shared great information about the area!Such an amazing experience! The guide spoke many languages to accompany everyone on the bus. It was around 4 miles. There was so much good information shared on the tour. There were bathrooms and the beginning and end of the tour. At the end of the tour they have a food court
- TIGGERCastellNedd00OAP ticketsFor us the price of the tickets were very cheap for OAP’s. We were glad of a sit down after a lot of walking around the city. We joined the tour at the ticket booth at Plaza Nuevo, just after passing on our right , Cta. de Gomérez, that leads you to a steep walk to the Alhambra. There were staff at each stop so you can buy the tickets off them (some didn’t have shade from the blistering sun!). So I would suggest to wait at a shaded stop as you might have to wait a while for the train to arrive. We choose the Plaza Nuevo stop because there are plenty of bars and cafes there to pass the time, luckily, we arrived just in time. The person in the ticket office had to quickly leave her post, we soon found out why. The train had arrived. It was in Cta. de Gomérez. Luckily, some people got off there and we were able to pay the train driver for our tickets. The driver was very helpful for people who had difficulty climbing into the carriages. He fetched a step for them. The audio guide was not working, which didn’t bother us, we were just taking in the scenery. On some streets, you will have a bumpy ride, but that can’t be helped, I mean, what do you want them to do, dig up Granada’s quaint cobble streets? To speak to the ticket staff a little Spanish would come in handy.
- Suzanne B00Nice tourBig groupe tour [50 people]. Guide was speaking 3 langages, so took a little bit longer to describe the visit. Rhonda is beautiful , wish we had more time to browes around but only 1 hour left after the tour and had to get lunch also. Still worth it!
- Rhuri S00Well worth the walkThis was well worth doing. I'm not a fan of heights but I made it round and was well worth it. We had a good guide and enjoyed the walk. This is a walk for all. Not to difficult. Mostly flat. Just High up a cliff edge.
- Rustydancer00You pay for what you getNot for the faint hearted I’m afraid. Bit of a bone shaker, bring a cushion. We paid 9.10 euro to a very surly driver who didn’t sell the whole experience very well. Still the more we climbed, the closer we got to viewing the Alhambra Palace for the first time. And the views of Granada on the way down were spectacular
- colleene81600Didn’t go didn’t get a refundI booked, realized we couldn’t do it and requested a refund within 30 minutes. I was refused. Very disappointed.
- anacisneros111000Loved itJust simply amazing views. Luckily we didn’t get a very hot day and started early. Perfect climate to go to Caminito del Rey trail.
- amandacQ2754BH00Rondo is Well Worth the TripRondo is definitely worth a visit. The town is lovely and has amazing views. The tour company was professional with the booking and pick up time was as promised. Downside...it was hard for me to understand the tour guide on the bus with us. He spoke multiple languages so there was constant chatter. We had a different tour guide once we arrived who had very good English. The highlight was the historic bull fighting arena about which she was very knowledgable. Downside...three people became separated from the group and although she said she was going to wait for them at a certain point, she did not. The people were very upset, almost in tears. Regardless, go to Rondo!
- Jet2952704664800Horrible OrdealBeware, 3rd world operation in a modern building. Malaga is a ‘Silent airport’. So silent they provide no notification of this fact to passengers. Frequently boarding gate changes are unannounced - updated on screen only. 30/40 passengers daily caught out and missing flights through no fault of their own. As for assistance, tough - suck it up - you’re on your own. Just pray you’re not travelling at a busy time - airport floors are one of the most uncomfortable places to spend a night or 2
- Neats196600Avoid Julia TravelThis was a very disappointing and a mis sold trip to say the least and a waste of 13.5 hours of my holiday. I certainly wouldnt recommend the excursion or Julia travel, who I contacted after the trip to express my disappointment, and have failed to respond. In short, the from hotel pick up to drop off the excursion was a farse. We spent hours queuing to get into the coach park and then queuing to clear customs. Once cleared and back on the coach, we were driven to the coach station and told 'the centre is over there!' Not only did I not book a shopping trip, we were not even escorted to the centre, just merely told to return to the coach park at 2.30, at which point we would be taken to the caves! Having killed 1.5hours in the centre, as instructed we returned to the coach park, to then be met by yet another delay. When the mini bus eventually arrived to transport us to the caves, at the cave we were instructed to be back on the mini bus in 20 mins.....this was the total duration of our visit to the caves and to see the monkeys! [all 3 of them!] We were not taken any further into the national park, or up the rock to see the monkeys. The driver rudely commented on a passenger who 'exceeded' her 20 min allowance that you can only take so many pictures of a monkey, and whilst this might be true the trip I booked was to see the monkeys, the caves apparently being the one to see them. After our extremely quick visit to the caves there was a few angry passengers and I can totally understand why! We were then taken back to the coach park and told we had another 2 hours to wander around the town centre, this was to wait for those on the coach that had booked the shopping trip! Having been told by Julia travel, St Michael's caves was the best trip [and most expensive!] to see the monkeys, for a 13.5 hour trip, to spend 20 mins at the caves and just see the monkeys outside rather than see more of the national park is pretty appalling.
- Graham B00AmazingJust wow!!! We decided to make our own way here and took a chance on getting tickets… E Z, parked at the south entrance, caught a bus to the north entrance, walked a bit, asked, waited and was in for €18, this included a guide, which we declined, way cheaper than booking on any website. Absolutely amazing views, plenty of photograph moments, especially the final stretch of the walk. Would definitely recommend this as a day out, however, be warned, there are some twitchy moments, so not for the faint hearted.
- philiphS2708UE00Great views but MUCH LONGER WALK than advertised. The canyon is a wonderful spot. Very interesting views of a very narrow gorge that was one of the first hydroelectric systems in Spain. The guide was excellent. However, there was a major problem for me and my wife. The TripAdvisor advertisement for this tour said it was a 3 km walk while it was actually a 3 mile or a little more walk. Thus, I had a very hard time making it through and I want to thank the staff from Camenito del Rey for all they did to help me get to the end and back to the tour bus. They were wonderful people and i want to thank them for their help. Thus, it is a great tour IF you are able to walk 7 to 7.5 km over uneven ground.
- sallysR782ZR00Eland was amazingIn my opinion, the lady who Sold me the total to the flamenco show in Torremolinos and advised my travel to Fuengirola to the zoo and Mijas in the mountains was absolutely marvellous. She was friendly. Patient gave loads of advice the ladies name was Elena
- FTfit00Breathtaking Beautiful StunningIt was breathtaking the experience one I will remember if you like walking hike heights with views to take away you breath this is the trip for you I would highly recommend a visit the this canyon the guide the information was excellent DO IT

The Alhambra in Granada is a world's wonder! Amazing architecture, art, and history. Imagine you being there in awe and then having your tour guide rushing through it! What a shame, this is not how you do a TOUR! I would understand if this is a full day tour. But is not! Your tour, excluding travel, is essentially only 2.5 hours . The rest is FREE time in the city - 3 hours! I felt duped....
I joined the tour in Malaga at 8:00 am, met by the tour guide Jean Pierre. The ride to Granada was about 1.5-2 hours. At Alhambra, we were handed off to a local guide, who guided is through the palace until around 12:30. Then we were handed back to Jean Pierre, who the led us to the cathedral in Granada..He showed is the entrance to the entrance of the cathedral. We were to tour the cathedral our self and have free time from 1-4 PM.
Jean Pierre was anything but a guide. In the bus, he just mostly read through a script. In Granada, he continuously failed to bring attention the group to follow him. He rarely spoke and kept walking very far ahead of the group. Most people were having a hard time catching up especially the elderly - he didn't seem to care of anyone in the group got lost or left behind.
The local guide, I think his name was Hani, was a bit better. But still, not a very good guide. He rushed through the tour, rarely facing the group, and basically just doing the tour via his microphone.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS TOUR. GRANADA IS AWESOME, BUT USE A DIFFERENT TOUR!

Dear Andi R,
Thank you for commenting on our Alhambra tour from Costa del Sol.
I am glad to see that you enjoyed the visit to the monument. As you point out, Alhambra is an impressive site and I am sorry to see that you felt the experience lacking because of the guides’ explanations.
Nonetheless, I will forward your commentaries to the manager responsible so that the appropriate measures are taken regarding this matter.
I look forward to seeing you again on one of our tours.
Kind regards,
Edgar W.
