About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- rebekahmF4112JH0 contributionsFantastic trip Caminto del ReyWonderful trip to Caminito del Rey. Our guide Thomas was very helpful with our family especially during busy week in Malaga! Trip was exactly as described and smooth with Thomas coordinating the travel and ticketing. Weather was rainy and he thoughtfully provided ponchos and water for us all. Our guide At Caminito del Rey was also good and we enjoyed the hike and scenic views. Excellent way to get to Caminito del Rey with a personalized family feel and comfortable transportation!Written March 27, 2024
- Missy N0 contributionsCaves and monkeys and donkeys, oh my!Awesome tour! We loved visiting Gibraltar and Mijas and learning about both places. St Michael Caves and Siege Tunnels were really cool! The monkeys were so cute and playful! Really enjoyed the free time in Mijas. If possible, make time to do the donkey taxi. Big fun!Written March 4, 2024
- 288phili0 contributionsUNESCO WorldHeritage site. Tick.Just get their group tour tickets online for £18 roughly. Simplzz. Not signposted well at all in the real world, could be a lot better. But a nice day out, no need for walking boot, but some grip required if the wood has been rained on. The website says arrive one hour early, we did two and just made the tour time as parking was an issue in the free car park at point 2 I think it was, ie none left and once u get to the back then it’s a pain to do a tight turn.Written January 31, 2023
- Matthew V0 contributionsGood Drive and TourWhile this tour may be expensive, you get a lot in return. We were picked up at our hotel in Marbella. The vehicle/van was clean and safe and the driver was friendly (his English was at an intermediate level). Then we were brought to Granada and had an hour to look in the shops and grab a snack (at your own expense). Next, we were given a 2.5 tour of the Alhambra site including Generalife and all the palaces. The tour includes the tickets and allows you to jump lines -- so the same tour might have taken another hour or more if you had to bother getting tickets and waiting in lines. The guide was knowledgeable about the history and the site and was willing to answer questions and even take photos with us in it. For the return, we had the same driver and vehicle, so it was safe to leave luggage in it. We needed to go to a different hotel in a different city (Malaga) and the driver was able to take us there at no extra charge (but we prearranged this by emailing the tour operator, Tours in Malaga). One heads-up -- departure times other than the ones listed on the tripadvisor site might be available. In fact, I has selected 0800 and the tour operator asked me if we could instead start at 1330, which turned out to be fine since things in Spain operate at a later schedule than the eastern parts of the CET time zone.Written October 8, 2022
- T7033KYbrians0 contributionsCaminito del reyCaminito del rey is superb, the 3 hrs each way trip was not great. Strongly recommend you hire a car , 1 hr each way then . Also try and pre book tickets for the walk in advance, Very difficult to get hold of.Written October 15, 2021

- Backwoodtraveler0 contributionsThe Rock - Monkeys and TunnelsPick up from resort was very convenient We did a private tour to Gibraltar with 2 other couples / 6 total people. We were handed off at the Spain border and walked through without issues - passport required. Picked up by a guide/driver in Gibraltar. He was wonderful! Enthusiastic and informative. We tend to spread out and he kept us corralled enough so we could all hear the information. We learned so much about Gibraltar with gorgeous views! We were quite enamored with the monkeys but we didn’t feel rushed. We all loved the experience. He suggested a lunch place and picked us up after lunch for transport back to the border and picked up by our Spanish driver back to our hotel. Easy walk back into Spain. We all agreed it was worth the trip.Written September 19, 2021
- Backwoodtraveler0 contributionsVery knowledgeable guide - nicely pacedThe walking tour in Malaga was nicely paced with great narration of what we were viewing. The guide had a great sense of humor and was very welcoming. Appreciated the break for coffee and pastry. Very knowledge guide and answered our questions. Great overview in the Picasso museum - much better understanding of this painter and types of art he created.Written September 19, 2021
- Carla S0 contributionsSmall amount of time for the priceSonia was an amazing guide and knew the town since she lives there. Would recommend however we asked the company to give us an hour and a half instead of an hour. They asked for more money which we felt wasn't warranted.Written July 5, 2021
- ithaca960 contributionsFrom next to unknown to grand tourist destination?25 years ago I saw a picture of a stunning natural feature in an obscure magazine. I got in my rental car and set off, not really knowing where I was going, driving on a road that became more and more scary . Narrow, no guardrail and parts of the road had just disappeared. I clenched my teeth and carried on. And was it worth it! Around a bend, and there it was. Garganta del Chorro .Incredibly high and narrow with a river at the bottom What really got to me, was the remnants of a wooden "walkway" more than halfway up the side of the ravine, culminating in a spindly "hanging bridge". Later I found out that it was created for king Alfonso XIII to observe the huge dams that were constructed as a water reservoir for the the Malaga Province. Therefore the name "Caminito del Rey". And for years I just came back here again and again. Every time it took my breath away. With the landscape around it, the enchanted forest and the wide, blue dams. Very few people seemed to know about it, mostly daredevil climbers. But as with Picasso, who lived his first 8 years in Malaga, but never came back, the powers that be found out that there was money to be had. So they restored the caminito which had been lethal to try walking on. And suddenly tour operators demand up to 275.- euros for the "unique experience" of walking through the gorge. I just fear the typical consequences of too many people discovering it, and then the magic disappears. As has happened so sadly often in other places...Written March 4, 2020
- StHelensLes19590 contributionsEarly pick up from Fuengirola but well worth it.using the coach was a nice way to get to Caminito del rey and the tickets and times were already booked for you . the scenery is stunning.Iam not that good with heights but coped with the experience. Its well worth the day out.Written February 16, 2020

- tahiruddin19010 contributionsTRULY AMAZING EXPERIENCE !!Caminito Del Rey tour was truely amazing, it took almost 3 hours to complete and the hike was 7.2km long from start to finish. The views of the canyon was truly breathtaking. Our guide Amanda was really friendly and she spoke good English, we had good conversations with her and she explained everything about the the historical walkway. A must visit destination if you’re in the Area!Written July 3, 2019
- atwell40 contributionsExactly what we wanted! We were picked up at the cruise port on time and driven to Mijas (exactly what we wanted). The driver was not a tour guide, just a driver, which was fine with our group. In Mijas we were met by a tour guide who took us around the town and then we had free time to explore the area on our own. The driver then took us back to Malaga and we had additional time to explore (on our own) there before our cruise ship left the port. There was a little issue initially in booking, but it was all resolved to our satisfaction. We'd use this company again.Written October 26, 2018

We chose this tour on-line and it was a home run! Our tour guide Santiago was phenomenal. As a cubano who has adopted Spain as his country, his knowledge of history and culture was extensive and he presented everything in an interesting and informative way, He was considerate of the slower walkers yet did not hold up the group. If I ever go back to Marbella I'd try to find him again! I recommend this tour highly.
