    Skip the line?
We were waiting for years to visit Sagrada Familia of Barcelona, finally this tour was amazing we had an opportunity to catch up the best possible view, long queues to enter the main entrance that was the worst part, what we call it skip the line but skip the line itself is a matter of concern no difference between skip the line or in the line. Somehow, we managed to enter we forgot all the hassles, we started enjoying every bit of it.

Save your money and do something else
You might as well take public transit. The audio worked but the monotone feed is a joke. You may catch the name of the upcoming landmark but then at most you’ll get one factoid about it before back to the (elevator) muzak. Conpared to other hop-on/hop-off bus experiences in other cities, this one is zero fun and a complete waste of time.

    A Great City View
We decided to try the hop on bus option as my wife wanted to see the cities architecture. This ended up being a great choice. We sat in the open air second deck as it was a sunny day. The view from the tops of these buses gives you a very different view than at sidewalk level. There is an audio feature in multiple languages as you drive around. We took the entire loop and then switched over to the second line that got us close to our hotel in the port district. It was very pleasant driving around this large city in this manner and we say many buildings. Definitely worth an afternoon or morning for a few hours to get an overall view! I would recommend this to everyone as a way to get the lay of the land before diving in.

Impressive environment but ultimately style over substance.
Submarino Restaurant, Oceanogràfic Centre, Valencia This is a stylish restaurant that contrives to create an atmosphere where the customers are inside a fishbowl, while fish and reptiles swim on the ‘outside, looking in. The environment is stunning and the welcome is relaxed albeit a little disorganised. The Maitre d’ welcomes parties at the bottom of the main staircase and shows them to their table. Being a large restaurant, this meant leaving a queue of guests standing up the staircase. Everyone was relaxed though and it did not cause any real problem. Once seated the service was quick and we ordered a tasting menu with matched wines. The waiter was a moving around his covers extremely fast and straight away poured our first matched wine. Here things deteriorated. The wine was a Cava, which I like normally, however this one was totally flat and tasted bitter. It was obviously a leftover from at least the day before and while cold, was horrible. We tried to get the attention of the waiter but he had zipped off to the rest of his covers. Meanwhile our first course arrived via a different server. This is all minutes from the order being placed, so very prompt and the Monkfish carpaccio was delicious. After this the waiter did arrive back. At this point I know that we should have complained about the Cava, however he was moving around like a dervish and was obviously up against time pressures. We had also now drunk the horrible wine, so did not complain. He served us a white wine which I tasted quickly and it was very pleasant. I tried to get a name from the bottle but couldn’t see it and the waiter shot off before I had a chance to ask. The next course was served - Scallops with orange, courgette and pork fat. My dish was delicious, my partners scallop was under cooked. The speed of service was notable throughout and any pauses were enhanced with constant visits from the circling fish and reptiles who seemed to find us fascinating. Our wine had not been replenished but with effort, we managed to catch the waiter to ask for some more which he provided with only slight resentment. I asked him what it was and he showed me the label which simply said Octopus, so I still have no real idea. My guess would be a decent low cost white Rioja akin to Campo Viejo. The follow up dish was described as Octopus with Parmentier Potato. What we received was Octopus which was cold in the middle with extremely slimy, oily mashed potato. Disappointing. As the service was so speedy, we quickly received our next dish consisting of a tapas dish of cod fillet with crispy rice and mock black garlic pil pil. This was ok. Our glasses were changed and the red wine was served. Not bad, chilled, anonymous, label branded as ‘Octopus’ with no additional info but was swiftly accompanied by a piece of suckling pig with chestnuts and mango chutney. The menu described the pork as ‘crispy’, however in reality it was soft, chewy and cold. In fact heat did not play much of a role in any part of this meal. Puddings arrived. Spiced Coconut and Pineapple - OK but instantly forgettable, followed by Chocolate (“Textures Of”) - quite nice, especially as this was actually meant to be cold. I retrospect, we should not have had the tasting menu. Other tables nearby looked as if they received decent looking food from the a la carte menu and would have had a much more satisfactory choice of wine rather than the horrible to average wine we received. If you do choose the tasting menu, make sure you buy lots of wine a la carte as this definitely will improve your situation.

Good idea in general but could be organised better!
This only relates to the Red city bus hop on hop off bus. It’s a good way of getting to know where tourists sites are. In June it was very hot so you’ll need sun care and a hat. We had access to two routes, Green & Red routes. Buses come quite often so it’s fine. The only thing is that what’s on their literature and website isn’t always up to date or accurate. In June they only run until 7pm in the evening even though the info on the bus stop suggests 8pm. The route maps available online can be old, so I would suggest that when someone purchases tickets online a few days before, they should provide links to an up to date maps so customers can download a pdf copy to plan ahead. There aren’t that many historical places in Barcelona so some of the bus stops are not that interesting. Some of the audio just mentions why a certain road is famous etc. The stop for Parc Guell is a bit useless because it’s not outside the site, it’s a long uphill walk then stairs to get to the park. We got a bit lost on our return. If you have any physical disabilities then it’s very hard to get there. So you may wish to get a taxi to take you there.

My trip to Malaga in the month of July 2024, we were very pleased with the professionalism and attention The highlight of the tour was The Plaza de la Merced, home to a statue of Picasso was the best part of the tour.
In addition to handling everything prior to arrival and providing timely answers to all
We had the most amazing experience ever!

The tour was a no-show, but no one contacted me to tell me that it had been canceled. After contacting the associated number twice, I received a refund but no explanation. I don’t trust anything on Viator anymore.
