- BoardingPass6218290 contributionsA really informative walking tourReally informative walking tour with our lovely guide, Kevin. He knew so much about the history of Málaga and was so friendly and inclusive. We did this tour on our first day which gave us a good idea of the geography of Málaga.Written September 11, 2024
- Lakecomo160 contributionsImpressive historical Roman theatre..Part of our walking tour , we learned the history of its Roman theatre and the Alcazaba castle which is part of Malaga impressive landmarks. You learn about Roman life as you explore the ruins of the Roman theatre and admire the moorish architecture. It is well situated to visit .Written March 17, 2024
- T7305JHmarkf0 contributionsPrivate walking Tour of MalagaThe guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the city and the sights we visited. He included a couple of extra places not on tour. He is clearly proud of his history and it shows in his enthusiasm.Written September 21, 2023
- L9473DVjenniferp0 contributionsGreat value - enjoyed learning!Great walking tour with Malaga a Pie. Lourdes was a great guide. Perfect, clear English and delivered the interesting facts with passion yet gentle talk. Loved it. So glad we spent money on this rather than just doing it ourselves.Written August 31, 2023
- 503sergiym0 contributionsThe Picasso BirthplaceThe museum in the city where Picasso was born has to be visited. There are a lot of painting and sculptures created by the great artist. The price is very reasonable: €9.50 just for the art gallery and €12.50 includes sculptures exhibition. To avoid queue buy it online on the museum site.Written August 8, 2023
- richardeV7780DL0 contributionsThe best tourThe guide was the best I have had. Totally awesome. I learned so much about Picasso in a very entertaining way.Written March 2, 2023
- Dianne L0 contributionsLess Than AnticipatedFrom the title of this tour and it’s initial description, I expected to be shown the major sites of old Malaga - like the Teatro Romano - and finish with a visit to the cathedral. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. He provided an excellent tour of the cathedral, for much less than two hours, and seemed to feel that this was all that was required of him. I rechecked your web site after the fact to see whether my expectations had been unreasonable and became more confused - as I scrolled down, the description was of a different tour entirely. I suggest that you work on your web site to avoid such confusion in future.Written September 22, 2022
- lovegeog0 contributionsDisappointed - this is not an English tour.As I had booked this on an English website, all in English, I assumed the tour would be in English - it wasn't! Two other people had also booked assuming the same. The guide apologised and admitted the mistake was their website's. We went along anyway and I'm sure it was a great tour if you understood Spanish!Written October 17, 2021
- PeggyT949200 contributionsSelf tour would be just as goodI think we would have done better with a self tour. Our guide seemed to know his information but struggled with English as a third language. We understand that Romans, Moors, Christians were all involved in Malaga, and perhaps it was our misinformation but our guide was 90% exclusive to Islam or Muslim influences. The only Christian influence was that they “copied the Muslims” with how they decorated ceilings. Very little discussion of Romans. We felt rushed, not getting time to see the only 4 exhibits before walking into the Roman theater. Our guide, Onat(?), needs to slow down. If you’re going to charge for this tour you need to meet in front of the Roman theater to allow more time. Onat has room for improvement and maybe if he did tour in his first language or Spanish even he would do better as I wonder if he failed to note many things as he was unsure how to explain.Written September 30, 2021
- tessabN9846DR0 contributionsTour is in SpanishThe tour was in Spanish, even though the site tripadvisor said it was in English. I was not able to follow the tour and I did pay money for it. Do not go on this tour if you do not speak Spanish. I left the tour after a while because it didn't have any purpose for me.Written July 5, 2021
- SimoneG10290 contributions3 hour walking tour covering the Cathedral, Roman Theatre and the Alcazaba. So rich in amazing history.Maria is my absolute favourite person in Malaga! Really enjoyable day with her learning about the towns history. She was a fountain of information, humoured me with English as my Spanish is still very poor. Highly recommend this walking tour to anyone visiting.Written October 9, 2020

- ashleybI5696SU0 contributionsGreat tour! This tour was wonderful. Tanya, our guide, was very knowledgeable on the history of the castle and an engaging guide. The castle had beautiful gardens and a lovely view of the city below. We considered going on our own but I recommend going with the tour to skip long entrance queues and gain much more historical insight.Written February 27, 2020
- Deming H0 contributionsLots of information during an enjoyable tourLearned a lot that I would not have from a brochure - very informative. I would have liked to spend more time in the Roman amphitheatre. All in all, very enjoyable!Written February 26, 2020

We were late for 2 minutes and contacted the tour operator online since that was the suggested means of communication. But they never responded. After calling them repeatedly finally were told to search for a tour guide carrying a tiny orange umbrella amongst the crowd in the Roman theater which did not allow us to get in unless we pay for the tickets again. Eventually we found the tour guide at the Alcazaba 45 mins later. This very unpleasant experience could have been easily avoided had they responded right away so that we could have caught the group before they entered the site. Btw, we waited patiently with the tour guide and the group for over 10 minutes for one guest who decided to stay behind to take extra photos after a 15 minutes bathroom break. Try to avoid this tour if you can. You can easily learn everything online on your own or ask ChatGPT. All three sites are right next to each other and you won’t get lost. You will have all the freedom to explore at your own pace without being rushed or trying to pay close attention in a big crowd to someone speaking in a heavy accent

Such a great way to see three major sites in just a few hours! Our guide, Lucia, gave us such an informative tour of the Alcazaba, giving us really interesting historical tidbits about the architecture and history of the place. Some people ended their tour there, but we also had the cathedral on our ticket, so we were a bit rushed after the Alcazaba tour (we only got about 30 minutes to explore before needing to meet up again), so that was a bit of a bummer. But the tour of the cathedral was great. Seeing the inside was fantastic and getting the history of the building made it all the more impactful. We were not able to go into the Roman Theatre itself because it was a Sunday, but that wasn't a big deal; we went on another day.

Amazing guide, Miguel Angel. I've been on many walking tours & the guide can make it or break it & Miguel made it. His depth of knowledge, level of detail & passion shone through. He was able to answer all our questions & set the scene at each point really well. From the city of Malaga to the amphitheatre, Alcazar & Cathedral. One of the best walking tours I've done. Highly recommend. The highlight for me was the Cathedral, I'm not religious but I am a fan of fine architecture & the external & interior of this Cathedral is exceptional.

Excellent tour! Estelle took us through the fort and the cathedral, bypassing the lines, and describing the history through interesting stories and facts. She was professional and knowledgeable. The end of the tour felt a little abrupt: like maybe she needed to hurry off to start a new tour? She did allow us to waylay her and ask about where we could find a taxi to return us to our ship. She gave excellent directions and never made us feel like a bother. The fort was interesting and offered lovely views, and the cathedral was also well worth a visit. Well worth the price of the tour. There were about twelve people in our tour group. Also: the orange umbrella is not a kiosk! The tour guide is holding an orange umbrella 🙂. She was not hard to spot after we found the crystal pyramid .

The tour sounded interesting and promising but vas long and boring. I have taken similar tours around other places in Europe, so I know what to expect.
Our guide did not speak that good english, and talked throughout the whole tour. Way too much details and reputation. I regret buying the tour and should have bought the local tickets from the museum instead with the tour guide in the ear and do the trip on my own speed.
Not worth the money at all

After eagerly awaiting the 8pm night tour, I received a WhatsApp at 5:30pm informing me it will be cancelled and that I would have to cancel my booking to receive a refund. I then booked (and paid for) the 6pm tour not realising it was with the same company. After waiting at the meeting spot nobody to show I realised that this tour was also cancelled and I would have to request another refund. You should not be able to buy a tour if they have already decided it is cancelled. After all of this I did not receive a single apology from the company for the inconvenience.

This was a great tour! Our guide (from MalagueAndo Tours) was phenomenal! He showed a deep appreciation for the history of the area and crafted a great tour. We really enjoyed our visit to the Alcazaba, and his insights in the Cathedral were great. The tour size was larger than we are used too, but not unmanageable, and we could hear the guide the whole time. I would definitely recommend this in the future!

Overall, quite an interesting tour with a knowledgeable guide. One quibble, though. Very surprised that we couldn’t enter the Roman Theatre as it is closed on Monday! We couldn’t see where this was highlighted on the tour description and it is not reflected in the fee. We could view the Theatre from the road and the guide did describe it but we would have liked to enter it.

Great tour, and a thorough explanation about the city history from the Roman time till the present with seeing the most amazing sites. Lourdes was amazing, on time, taking us back to the main spotlights of the city history over more than 3 hours. The Roman ruins, the Alcazaba and the cathedral, are mind-blowing when you hear about their story. We even learnt about the famous restaurant and museum in Malaga. Thanks, Loudes.

Didn't do a tour, juts visited all the by ourselves. All are well within walking distance of the old town (we are all in our 60s and had no problem with the walking). The cathedral is just awesome. Incredible artwork, paintings and sculptures within. The outside is also incredible. When we visited everyone inside was quiet and respectful. Be aware that it takes a special ticket to go up to the roof. Alcazaba was terrific. The Roman Theatre was likewise great. The theatre and Alcazaba are near numerous restaurants where you can get a little refreshment after you visit.

We’re arriving on RCCL Rhapsody of the Seas on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 10:00. There are 2 of us who want to book. Where do we meet the tour, how far is it from the port, how do we book and where does the tour end? Thank you. Connie Matros
