    Interesting museum near Malaga waterfront.
The architecture of this museum is very interesting. The art is very well displayed. The cost is 9 euros per person and it is worth a visit.

    Bad impression.
The building itself was beautifull from outside, but what I did not like, was the the mess of the suroundings, a lot of trash on the promenade street, I saw a kid around 10 years old, totally naked beeing washed by his mom in front of everyone. Disgusting. The tree stars were for the overall picture.

Interesting contemporary art museum on the Malaga waterfront
An interesting and enjoyable museum on the Malaga waterfront. The museum hosts a range of temporary and permanent exhibitions arranged across two levels in a contemporary building. A good destination for the whole family - it comes with an audio guide which is great for those looking to take in the displays, and our two year old daughter loved exploring the different spaces and climbing the central stair.

    Small annex
Part of the grand Parisian museum the Malaga annex has a limited permanent collection of modern art and changing exhibitions. It is built underground in the new port complex Muelle Uno on the sea boulevard.

    Disappointing gallery
An interesting building with attractive presentation to its foreshore context but that was the highlight. Artworks were uninspiring and I left thoroughly disappointed given the reputation of the Pompidou!

    Fun large spaces
Place-ness inhabit space exhibition –helpful audioguide. There was an enormous David Hockney (32 panel) oil painting of a wood in The Wolds, Yorkshire was cheerful and inspiring. The Carlos Cruz- Diez Colour in Motion had large coloured perspex panels which you were able to walk between to experience the play of light and 'rainbow reflection' on the white walls.

    Interesting exhibitions
Interesting exhibitions, I was happy to see a Victor Brauner work, a film made by Constantin Brancusi. Unfortunately at the time I visited the museum, the children's area was closed. From what I could see, this space looked interesting.

Our children loved the inside Matisse workshop
I’m not a a very big fan of modern art, but more a classical art kind of guy. Monet, Matisse en Patisserie where I would draw the line. Okay, and of course Salvador Dali. And a bit of Gaudi perhaps. Anyway, long intro. We visited the Centre Pompidou Málaga om a Sunday afternoon, when the admission is free. We have been to Malaga many times since 2019, nit never visited. This would be our first visits The exhibition of Carlos Cruz-Diez was very interesting to see, with our eyes indeed playing tricks. Other works of art were… Well. Very modern. For our two young sons, the highlight of our visit was the ‘Inside Matisse’ workshop, where they could design their own Matisse. They loved it. All in all we had a very nice afternoon.

Don’t let it put you off art
You would think the Pompidou in Paris would have sent some decent stuff down. No chance. It’s all pretty average. The activity for kids to design your own Matisse artwork was quite good. Not sure it was worth the admission fee though.

Highlight of tour of art galleries in Malaga
Went twice and really enjoyed it. Surprised at how large it was. The main exhibition (which finishes at the end of March) covered at least 6 galleries and focussed on the way we inhabit space – sounds convoluted but the excellent interpretation boards for the galleries and each picture were very helpful. There was an enormous David Hockney (32 panel)picture of a wood in The Wolds, Yorkshire which was particularly memorable. The gallery, like many others, has free viewing on Sunday /evenings.

    Very modern and abstract art..
We visited this museum on a Sunday after 4 pm because admission was free. Well situated near boardwalk on the waterfront of Malaga. It’s building is very different and modern, shaped like a cube with lots of colourful glass. This is a very modern abstract exhibit museum, well indicated with specific information. I found , it was well done but not my type of art.

    Interesting design
I was just passing this building and found it very interesting and strange apart of everything else around. I didn’t have chance to go inside as the exhibition was closed, but outside looked quite colourful. There were street games nearby with teenagers enjoying them.

Not to be missed by art lovers
Lovely location, just a 5 minute stroll along the Puerto de Malaga quay side from the bus terminus. The temporary exhibition we went to "Placeness" was a treat. Our ticket entitled us to visit the permanent exhibition as well but we decided to save that treat for next time. Eclectic thought- provoking international modern art in a great building. A must for art lovers.

    Iconic but majority closed
Fun to visit, especially if you’ve been to the main one in Paris. The outside is the most exciting part though, much of inside is closed for updating. Convenient location at the Marina, iconic.

    A real robery!
The permanent exhibition was closed and there was only the temporal one that you tour in 5 mintutes. No one told you that when entering and paying the entrance ticket which was at full price. This is robery.

I found the experience poor, not enough to see for the price, poor guidance on where things were, staff pretty bored and stuck up, not a lot here, but I could have missed it because the signage was non-existant. Go to the Carmen-Thyssen instead, cheaper, lots more art, lovely builsing.

Fantastic museeum of modern art with a great exibithion and amzingly quiet. The location may be why most tourist may miss it but it is certainly worth a visit in addition to the much busier Picasso museeum.

Entrance was fast and easy, the staff very polite and helpful 😊. Fortunately there were not many guests and I could see the collection without masses of people around me.

An art lover, I enjoyed the discovery of this contemporary museum.
The exhibition route took me to one of my favorite styles: lines.
Note also the light of the colored cube.
