Our visit to Mezquita-Catedral de Cordoba would not have been so memorable if we didn't take this tour. Our English-speaking guide Enrique was excellent! He guided us through an enchanting history of the Mosque-Cathedral with passion, knowledge and enthusiasm. Going through the Mosque halls we learnt about the initial construction in the 8th century and all the subsequent expansions up to 10th century. The true "wow" moment was entering the nave of the Cathedral inside the Mosque (13th century). You certainly do not expect it to be so grand and opulent but it is! We all agreed that it was a very thoughtful way of telling the story chronologically and leading us to its Christian climax - the Cathedral. To complete the experience, we also attended the Sunday mass the next day. Would highly recommend this tour. Big thanks to our guide Enrique!

Visiting the Mosque-Cathedral was an outstanding experience. Built and rebuilt over more than 1000 years, this enormous complex is truly breathtaking. It covers different Roman, Moorish, and Christian architecture and styles. We had the privilege of having Fatima as our guide, who explained everything about the Mosque-Cathedral. Fatima was not only a very skilled but also a very passionate guide—perhaps among the best guides I have ever had. Thank you, Fatima, for sharing all the fascinating details and putting the Mosque-Cathedral into a historical context. Truly, it was a memorable visit.

English guide tour . Fab ! Our guide , Enrique does the tour in a super interesting way , focusing on the Muslim history first and then a second round on the Christian one. Superb!

We had a lovely tour and our guide’s knowledge was great but it lacked a bit of personality or connection. I felt she was just telling the same stories she had shared with every other group. We still learnt a lot and saw things we wouldn’t have by ourselves but for the price I expect a guide with a bit more passion. The 3 sites/areas are amazing but going through the Alcazar felt a bit rushed with no time to really see the gardens. Arranging the tour via email with Artencordoba was easy and hassle free. I’ve still given this tour 5 stars but for the price it just lacked something.

We had an Italian-speaking guide who was incredibly knowledgeable (both professionally and socially), making the tour an unforgettable experience. Simply perfect and highly recommended if you are planning a visit to the Mosque-Cathedral. Doing it alone with an audio guide would not provide the same experience.

This tour is absolutely amazing and the tour guides are very knowledgeable and entertaining. Fortunately, the walk is all flat. I would strongly recommend this tour as an introduction to Cordova

Great way to see and learn about Cordoba’s famous Mezquita. Fatima our guide was immensely knowledgeable about the monument and led the tour with passion and enthusiasm. She explained (briefly) the complicated history of the building and ensured that all questions from the group were fully answered.

Maria was a knowledgeable and entertaining English language (with an accent 😊) guide. Answered everyone’s questions.

The Mosque/Cathederal was fantastic, but our guide’s English was not great. He told us he usually did the tours in Spanish and was covering for someone else. He did his best and was obviously a knowledgeable guy, but our experience was not as good as other English tours. The 3 star review is for Artencordoba NOT the MEZQUITA or the guide.

The Mezquita was fabulous and so interesting to tour. I really appreciated the knowledge and friendless of our two guides, both of whom were easy to understand in English. They provided interesting context and history about the area and the locations we visited. (I also appreciated Maria's tip for where to acquire less expensive drinks, which we needed later!) The tour did run quite long (longer than anticipated), and I had wished for just a little more brevity inside the Mezquita, especially because there weren't very many places to sit while we were touring.

The mosque did not accept our tickets -no-one anywhere to be seen who could help us. Ended up having to buy new tickets. Money spent totally wasted.

We booked a 2 hour tour & our tour guide was Maria. The tour went for for 2.5 hours probably 1 hour too long, a bit too much info was given & it seemed to lose a bit of interest within the group. Maria seems like a bright person but needs to tailor tour to her group & maybe not her interest. We have just had a tour in Barcelona at Sagrada Familia, it was brilliant, just over an hour & held us captive with interest. So I probably would not recommend this tour sorry, just too long & too much info - go for a shorter time tour perhaps.

The mosque is a must see attraction in cordoba. It has an amazing mix of Arabic and Christian culture. It’s one of the most impressive places to visit. The audio guide is very helpful to explain the varies stages of the building.
