Begin this guided Hamburg bike tour by meeting in the St. Pauli district. Get acquainted with your bike and then stop at Heiligengeistfeld, where you see a World War II bunker and FC St. Pauli football stadium. As you pedal along Jungfernstieg promenade, pause to look at town hall and the warehouse district. Then, visit the city’s youngest district, HafenCity. Your guide points out the music house (Elbphilharmonie), which is one of the largest concert halls in the world. The next stop is St. Michael’s Church. Travel back into St. Pauli with various stops along the red-light district area, near the Reeperbahn. The most scenic part of the journey is the ride along the waterfront and the Alster Lakes. Worthwhile
The cycling is not at all strenuous. No hills mostly bike trails. The tour covers many historical sites with interesting details. The German version requires good command of the language.

      Rented two ebikes for day
Wonderful ebike rental. Excellent service, friendly staff. English was no problem. They also have a bathroom which was great. Rented 2 ebikes, both worked well. Bosch mid-drive with 8 speeds and full battery.

      Excelletn bikes
We rented bikes for a group of friends. The service and contact with Lars upfront was excellent. Also collection and delivery was smooth. If I would have one comment, it is th eopening hours. They can open an hour earlier and close one hour later.

      Convenient and affordable
The rentals are well-priced, and the pick up and drop off was quick and easy. The bike was a little beat up, but it worked well.

      First class.
The tour itself was excellent and the guide also. What let it down was the poor information on their website, they said it was because the seasons had just changed, it it really was a mess and caused us to rush to get to the tour as we had booked a later one in English, anyway we got over that and really enjoyed the tour. The places you see are all of real interest and there are plenty of stops for photos etc. Really enjoyed the tour and I highly recommend this when in the city.

For a new arrival in Hamburg this guided few hours of cycling is absolutely worth it. Helped me get my bearings and gave me good information and anecdotes that i would never have known. Ines (or Enis?) was awesome, friendly, relaxed and knowledgeable. Thanks heaps.

      Great way to discover Hamburg
It was a fairly easy ride and covered a lot, including the tunnel (must see). Could have had a drink break, but time moved on. Our guide was friendly and well-informed.

This bike tour was amazing for several reasons. Phillip knows his history, we had a smaller group which made navigating that much easier, we were able to hope on the ferry to Elbphilharmonie, Elbi Tunnel cruising on the bikes again, St. Pauli. We covered so much ground which was amazing and washed it down with a cold brew to finish the tour. Bikes were super comfortable and in great shape. No wobbles, worn seats/handlebars etc. I'm 6'5 and usually the one size fits all puts me in a tough place. 3 speed. I don't know why I didn't start doing bike tours until now... best bang for the buck and I walked to a few of these attractions before but such a different experience biking than walking (I was in Hamburg in mid-January) I believe you can also rent bikes from HCC. They didn't answer me back via FBK messenger but glad I was able to it booked... Trip was way better than I

Location is a bit outside the city centre, but close to Reeperbahn/Sankt Pauli. We walked about 45 minutes from our rental apartment close to the central station. Near the place are some bakeries where you can have breakfast, also for take away. The reception was friendly. Although we are not native German speakers, we booked the German spoken tour. Our guide Nico was easy to understand and had great and fun knowledge about his city. The bikes were unfortunately not as good as we had expected (this is the only reason why I did not rate it 5*) but maybe we are just used better in a cycling country like The Netherlands. The bikes are manually adjustable in height and you can get a small basket to put your stuff in. The tour is about 14 (easy going) kilometers and takes about 3 hours. Plenty of stops at Hamburg’s highlights with good explanation. Also a 25 minutes break at Hafencity where you can have a coffee, drink, sandwich or ice cream. All in all this is a very efficient and fun way to get a quick overview of the city and then decide which places you would like to explore further. I booked this company via Baja Bikes and would go with them again. Hopefully they have better bikes then!

What a fantastic way to see Hamburg! We lucked out on the weather and only had a few raindrops during the 3-hour tour. Our guide, Ilka, took our group of 6 (my daughter and I were 2 of the 6) through the main areas of Hamburg, providing insightful info about the city and its history.
The advantage of such a tour is that you have a knowledgeable guide and can cover a lot of ground with a bike. And, Hamburg is pretty much a flat city - so, it's easy. Loved it!
We had good experiene with Fat Tire Tours 6 years ago in Rome, so we weren't surprised that this worked out well, too :)

Booked for two adults and two kids (12 yo and 9 yo), and although trip advisor didn’t display the option of booking for kids, hhc were very quick to respond to my query and ensured they had the right sized bikes ready for us in advance. Andy was a fantastic guide and kept an eye on the children around traffic. He was very knowledgeable about Hamburg - shared funny and interesting stories and engaged everyone very well. Definitely recommend!

This is wonderful way to get an initial overview of the city. The three hours go by so quickly - seeing many different parts of the city and interest points of the old and new sections. The guide is flexible and stops frequently. The provided three-speed bikes are a bit clunky but just fine for this activity. Bikes are the best way to see this much!

We went on a City bike our with Ilka and she really did an amazing job. She had lots of insights regarding the City, the neighborhood and its history. We brought our own bikes which was no problem at all. After the tour you really have a good overview of Hamburgs main attractions and Ilka also gave us a lot of other valuable information regarding sightseeing, food and other tours. The only thing I think could be improved a little bit is the right balance of biking and stops where I feel the biking fell a little short. Other than that we can only recommend this tour.

Savvy was a great tour guide, and we learned many things about the city and its history. The tour is definitely for people who know how to ride a bike, and there are some big intersections and traffic.

I highly recommend this tour asap in your visit so that you can decide what you want to come back and revisit later on.

A really enjoyable start to our visit to Hamburg. Our guide Phil was as entertaining as he was enlightening - bringing his deep knowledge of the city to life with humorous anecdotes. A great way to get to know your way around, and highly recommended.

Our guide was extremely personable and knowledgeable about everything that had to do with Hamburg. Hamburg is the 2nd largest city in Germany and there is so much territory to cover. Biking around the major monuments of the city was a great way to explore all the amazing neighborhoods and get a better grasp on how the city is laid out. Appreciated her patience while we navigated the torrential rain & felt very safe under her guidance.

We emailed to ask for electric bikes (which we were able to have for a small premium) and then had a private tour of Hamburg. It was a great tour. We got to see many of the main sites and our guide was really knowledgeable and fun. We particularly enjoyed cycling under the Elbe and back at the end.
I recommend booking for a Sunday morning if you can as there is very little traffic.
